Feng Yi's approach was simple: he handed Diona's specially prepared drinks to Diluc for a taste.
Feng Yi's intention was to show Diluc that he could craft such high-quality beverages, proving he was not afraid of being suppressed and could establish his own niche in Mondstadt's wine industry.
Furthermore, Feng Yi's "Cat's Tail Tavern" focused on bespoke, high-end services, which did not directly compete with the mass-market appeal of "Angel's Share," thus leaving room for potential collaboration.
The proposal was for Feng Yi's "Cat's Tail Tavern" to regularly supply "Angel's Share" with premium beverages, while "Angel's Share" would provide daily liquor supplies to Feng Yi's establishment.
In other words, Feng Yi's "Cat's Tail Tavern" would procure goods from Dawn Winery, and a certain percentage of the profits would be shared with Diluc.
After listening to Feng Yi's proposal, Diluc pondered for a long time. With no better options available at the moment, he temporarily agreed to Feng Yi's offer.
'I need to find an opportunity to have Charles inquire about the background of their bartender and see if we can poach her with a generous offer!'
Diluc already had a preliminary plan in mind.
"Diona, use this water as an ingredient and mix a few drinks to try!"
Feng Yi handed the diluted water of life to Diona. This was the surprise drink he had promised Lisa and the others.
Although the drinks Diona had already concocted were impressive enough to make them exclaim that the trip was worthwhile, there was more to come!
"Using water as an ingredient? Does this water have something special about it?"
Seeing Feng Yi smile without answering, Diona grew even more curious.
"Taste it, and your body will tell you the answer!"
Feng Yi said confidently. This water was purified spring water from a golden shard, to which he had added a full drop of water of life.
While this diluted water of life was not a miracle elixir, for an ordinary person, it could alleviate old injuries, enhance physical fitness, and improve complexion.
"Wow... this water is amazing! I feel so much lighter all of a sudden..."
Diona poured a small cup from the pitcher and took a sip. The feedback from her body, nourished by the water of life, caused her to open her mouth wide in surprise.
Could this water be... the legendary holy water that could heal wounds?
Diona noticed two water droplets clinging to the inner wall of the cup. She couldn't bear to waste such precious holy water, but she also didn't want to lose face in front of Feng Yi.
So, while mixing drinks, Diona secretly picked up the cup, stuck out her delicate pink tongue, and licked the water droplets clean.
"Here, these are the holy water drinks you wanted! Hurry and take them, don't just stand there blocking my work!"
Diona noticed Feng Yi's gaze on her seemed a bit odd. Had he seen her licking the cup just now?
'This is so embarrassing!'
After mixing the drinks Feng Yi needed, Diona waved her hand impatiently and drove Feng Yi away.
"Sticking out your tongue like a little cat is quite cute..."
Feng Yi took the drinks away, muttering softly.
"Hmph! Diona is not a cat!"
Diona retorted indignantly.
'But, is sticking out my tongue really that cute?'
Musing on Feng Yi's words, Diona quietly turned around and, facing the cocktail shaker that served as a makeshift mirror, playfully stuck out her cute, pink tongue again.
"Lisa, here are the surprise drinks I promised you! Everyone, have a taste!"
Feng Yi brought the specially made drinks to the table where Lisa and the others were seated.
"Little Feng Yi, is there another surprise? I thought the amazing bartender you found was the surprise you had for us!"
Lisa picked up a drink Feng Yi had brought, smiling, and said with a hint of surprise.
"Who said there was only one surprise?"
Feng Yi implied that these custom drinks were available for a limited time and in limited quantities; they wouldn't be available after today!
"This... this is... Feng Yi, are you serious?!"
After tasting the drink containing the water of life, Lisa's expression changed drastically. She stared intently at Feng Yi and asked seriously.
"Of course. To satisfy you all, I've brought out my most treasured possessions today!"
As Feng Yi had predicted, among those present, only Lisa, known as the "genius witch of the Sumeru Akademiya, encountered once every two hundred years," could recognize the existence of the water of life with her vast knowledge.
Indeed, as Feng Yi had surmised, after drinking the wine, Lisa felt a warm, life-giving energy circulate and nourish her body.
Comparing it to her accumulated knowledge and ruling out other possibilities, only the legendary relic of the elves – the water of life – perfectly matched.
While Lisa was unsure how Feng Yi obtained this legendary item, now considered extinct, she was filled with reverence for his generous sharing.
"Then I'll have to have a few more sips, sister. If I don't get drunk today, it would be a disservice to such precious wine! But if I happen to drink too much and get drunk, Feng Yi, you wouldn't do anything strange to me, would you?"
Lisa said in a slightly teasing tone.
Feng Yi: What's with that expectant look on your face?
"Ahem... Lisa, what are you implying with Feng Yi? It's making people confused!"
Just as Feng Yi didn't know how to answer, Jean, standing beside him, fortunately stepped in to help him out.
"Ahem... it seems Yuanbao and Klee are having a bit of an incident. I'll go check on them. You all drink up, I'll be right back!"
Seeing Yuanbao, Klee, and Qiqi sitting on small stools by the counter, talking to Diona about something, Feng Yi used this as an excuse to escape the situation.
"Diona, Yuanbao wants that kind Daddy drinks!"
"Klee wants it too!"
"Qiqi wants some too~"
Diona didn't know how to handle these three little ones.
She didn't want to make drinks for children, but she couldn't resist the persistent pleas of these three little rascals. She ended up mixing three cups of heavily diluted alcohol and handed them to the trio.
"Ahem... Yuanbao, and Klee, children shouldn't drink alcohol!"
Feng Yi suddenly appeared behind them and took the drinks from Yuanbao and Klee.
"Then... then why can Qiqi drink?"
Yuanbao and Klee thought Feng Yi was being unfair. They wondered why he only took theirs and not Qiqi's as well.
"Qiqi is special..."
Feng Yi explained briefly.
"Qiqi is a zombie, she's lived for many years, she's not a child anymore~"
Qiqi held her drink, took a sip, and explained with a look of enjoyment.
"Qiqi, like adults, can do anything adults can do!"
