Chapter 53 Truly Fortunate for Three Lifetimes

Feng Tongtong was fuming.

"Your eyes are blind!" Feng Tongtong reprimanded her fiercely, her face flushed red. "I'm warning you? So you don't offend Liu Miange the moment you turn around."

"Nonsense! Third Miss, what are you saying?"

At that moment, a deep, commanding male voice echoed from behind.

The Grand Elder and several other elders approached.

Upon seeing Feng Tongtong, his eyes held a strong warning, clearly telling her not to speak recklessly.

"Grand Elder, I'm just worried that Feng Ninghe might offend Liu Miange, which would be detrimental to our Feng family."

Feng Tongtong felt a little wronged, biting her lip lightly and twisting the hem of her sleeves.

She looked like a spoiled young lady in this posture.

However, this act had no effect on the Grand Elder.

The Grand Elder ignored her completely and turned to Feng Ninghe. "Ninghe, interacting with Liu Miange is a joyous occasion for the Feng family. In the entire Li Kingdom, very few can befriend that Sixth Master. You must cherish this opportunity."

Those who could be personally picked up by Liu Miange were few and far between in the entire Li Kingdom.

Feng Ninghe understood the Grand Elder's intention and nodded gracefully. Her voice, calm as still water, replied, "Grand Elder, rest assured, I know what I'm doing."

Her composure, however, surprised the Grand Elder.

Ordinarily, anyone in this situation would feel honored and show some emotion. How could she be so calm?

Her expression clearly indicated that she didn't place much importance on Liu Miange.

The Second Elder, feeling uneasy, laid out the pros and cons. "Ninghe, your friendship with Liu Miange is a good thing for our Feng family, but you must also be careful. If you offend Liu Miange, it will be counterproductive."

Even the elders of the Feng family had never received such treatment.

To meet the Lord of Liu Miange, one could only hope to do so by visiting their manor. They certainly didn't have the opportunity to have Liu Miange send a carriage to pick them up.

"Ninghe, if Liu Miange were to invite someone, shouldn't it be Old Xu? Why are they inviting you?"

The Third Elder stretched his neck towards Shi Wan, trying to see if Immortal Xu would also be accompanying them.

But only Feng Ninghe was present, not Immortal Xu.

Feng Ninghe's answer was simple: "You'll have to ask Liu Miange about that."

The sunlight shone freely on her cheeks, illuminating her face with a soft glow, but it couldn't warm the cold aloofness in her eyes.

Her clear gaze seemed transparent, yet it was unfathomable.

The Grand Elder stared at her face, unable to discern her thoughts.

"Elders, I shouldn't keep the people from Liu Miange waiting. I'll take my leave."

After a brief greeting to the elders, she turned and walked away, never once glancing at Feng Tongtong.

Feng Tongtong bit her lip tightly, unable to hide the resentment in her eyes. "Who knows what unspeakable business she has with Liu Miange?"

"Silence."

The Grand Elder turned his gaze, a cold glare sweeping directly at Feng Tongtong. "Liu Miange is not someone you can judge as you please, nor is it a place anyone can just go to."

The other elders nodded in agreement.

While they were surprised, they all believed this was an opportunity for Feng Ninghe.

As long as it benefited the Feng family, the elders were content.

The Fourth Elder smiled the brightest. Stroking his long beard, his face was full of smiles. "This girl Ninghe is no longer the Ninghe of the past. Things are different now. Perhaps one day, we will have to rely on her."

Rely on her?

Feng Tongtong scoffed, her exquisitely made-up face covered in intense disdain. A storm of malice flashed across her beautiful eyebrows.

It wouldn't be long before Feng Ninghe was buried.

She herself was struggling to survive, and these old, immortal old rascals were thinking of relying on someone who was about to die?

It was ridiculous!

The elders did not notice Feng Tongtong's change in expression.

The Second Elder narrowed his eyes, a clear thought flashing within them. "Liu Miange is not someone everyone can associate with. Ninghe is, after all, a disciple of Immortal Xu. Perhaps Immortal Xu has taught her something."

The Third Elder nodded with slight approval, adding, "That makes sense. After all, this girl is young. This is treatment that even we have never enjoyed. How is it that she can enjoy it?"

While the elders whispered amongst themselves, the Grand Elder, unusually silent, stared at Feng Ninghe's departing figure for a long time without looking away.

Normally, people would be overjoyed by such an event.

But looking at Feng Ninghe, she was calm and unpretentious, not showing any pride.

Perhaps Feng Ninghe truly had something extraordinary about her?

As this thought surfaced in the Grand Elder's mind, he immediately dismissed it.

In the end, she was a cripple who couldn't cultivate. How could she have anything extraordinary that Liu Miange would notice?

Perhaps Liu Miange had other intentions.

Outside the Zhenguo Duke's mansion.

The carriage from Liu Miange stopped there, attracting countless gazes.

"Look! That's a carriage from Liu Miange! To have Liu Miange personally send a carriage to pick someone up is a blessing of three lifetimes."

"That woman seems to be the eldest miss of the Feng family. Could it be that Liu Miange is looking for her today?"

The cultivators gathered nearby began to discuss.

They widened their eyes, afraid they would miss a single moment.

Liu Miange had sent Su Xian to pick her up.

Upon seeing Feng Ninghe, she smiled, her seductive eyes like silk, her face exquisitely beautiful. "Eldest Miss, please board the carriage. Sixth Master has been waiting for a long time."

Feng Ninghe also had something to say to this Sixth Master.

She nodded slowly and stepped into the carriage.

The surrounding cultivators immediately erupted.

"Look! Feng Ninghe got into the carriage! Liu Miange was looking for Feng Ninghe!"

"What a magnificent carriage! How much face does one need to have for Liu Miange to personally come and pick them up!"

The discussions clearly reached her ears.

Feng Ninghe closed her eyes, ignoring everything outside, completely unconcerned by the chatter.

The cushions inside the carriage were soft, and even though the carriage moved quickly, there was no sense of bumping.

Soon, the carriage stopped in front of Liu Miange.

As she alighted from the carriage, many cultivators were discussing. The chatter only subsided when her figure, accompanied by Su Xian, entered the building.

Inside the room, fine sandalwood incense was burning, its elegant fragrance refreshing the mind.

Through the screen, a solitary figure could be vaguely seen sitting quietly.

"Sixth Master, the person has arrived."

Su Xian spoke respectfully, bowed, and then retreated.

A deep, pleasant male voice came through the screen, reaching Feng Ninghe's ears.

"A guest is a guest. Don't be constrained here. Come and sit."

Only then did Feng Ninghe step forward, walking towards the screen.

She immediately saw the Sixth Master sitting there, making tea.

The man lowered his gaze. Under the elegant, misty shadows, his facial features were chiseled, his exquisite lips exuding nobility. His well-defined hands made the tea-making process clean and efficient.

The aroma of tea wafted to her nose, and Feng Ninghe's heart calmed a bit. She looked directly at the tea leaves and said, "Sixth Master, this is indeed good tea."
