Chapter 163: Chapter 163: Confidence
"You’re clever, you reported to the police in advance." Sophie Wilson glanced at Charles Seymour, then burst into laughter.
Originally, the report was made to guard against Stephen Wilson doing anything, but who would’ve thought Charles Seymour would use it against Grace Wilson.
He’s truly a talent.
Thinking back to the time Charles Seymour confidently claimed that Grace Wilson harassed him, it just made her want to laugh.
Charles Seymour nodded reservedly, as if he didn’t care about Sophie Wilson’s praise.
However, if his eyes hadn’t suddenly brightened up a bit, it would have been even more convincing.
"Lawyer Newell, please find someone to sell the items they left behind." Sophie Wilson said, not wanting to bother again, "But make sure to keep the details, it’ll be useful later."
Lawyer Newell nodded, these matters were his specialty, so handling them was naturally no problem.
Everything here had been taken care of, the only thing left was the property transfer.
This was also something Lawyer Newell didn’t need Sophie Wilson to attend to, she just needed to sign the authorization documents and he could handle it.
With Lawyer Newell taking care of the remaining matters, the Wilson Clan villa was left with only Charles Seymour and Sophie Wilson.
Sophie Wilson sighed, "Having a good lawyer really makes things easier."
Charles Seymour’s eyes flashed, and his chest felt a bit tight.
Even with an expressionless face like an iceberg, Sophie Wilson could spot the repressed grievance within.
"How come you’re so skilled, using such capable people," Sophie Wilson hurriedly added in the follow-up sentence.
"Being able to command such talented people means you’re even more impressive than them."
The blockage in Charles Seymour’s chest immediately dissipated.
"Yeah." Charles Seymour nodded nonchalantly, asking, "Is there anything you need to take away?"
No matter what, this was once Sophie’s home; surely there must be some of her things here.
"There isn’t anything that’s mine." Sophie Wilson replied with a smile, "All my stuff is in the rental near the subdivision office."
Sophie Wilson made an effort to recall and shrugged, "There’s nothing much."
Just a few photos of her childhood, and some clothes.
Other than that, there’s really nothing.
Looking back, the traces she left in the Wilson Clan are truly sparse and pitiful.
Even when it came to taking photos as a child, they would endlessly take pictures of Grace Wilson.
As for her... forget it, she didn’t want to think about it.
They aren’t really family after all; if she still harbored any hope of finding familial affection from them, then she’d be truly delusional.
"Let’s pack them up one day and take them home." Charles Seymour spoke, warming Sophie Wilson’s heart. She nodded heavily, "Okay."
Taking them home, he said it as if it were the most natural thing, and to her ears, it indeed felt incredibly comforting.
"I’ll go over and get them today. If you have any business..."
"No problem." Charles Seymour quickly interrupted Sophie Wilson, "Let’s go now."
The sooner Sophie Wilson officially moves into the home, the sooner Charles Seymour can truly rest easy.
After all, they were now officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
Thinking of this, Charles Seymour felt quite confident.
"Alright." Of course Sophie Wilson had no objections.
——
"Dad, where are we going?" Grace Wilson dragged her suitcase, walking a bit but already feeling exhausted.
She was still wearing high heels meant for work, how could she walk long distances like this?
"First, let’s find a place to stay." Stephen Wilson wasn’t the least bit flustered, pulled out his phone, and went aside to make a call to a friend.
