Chen Fan was stunned, looking at Qin Shuran in his arms with surprise.
A moment later, Qin Shuran came to her senses and looked around. When she noticed her colleagues staring at her strangely, she realized she had just thrown herself into Chen Fan's arms.
Her small face instantly turned red, and she hurriedly pulled away from Chen Fan.
"Ah, quickly welcome our hospital's divine doctor!" At this moment, Lian Wenxin walked in with a smile.
Seeing Lian Wenxin, Qin Shuran looked displeased. "Director Lian, what are you all doing?"
"Hahaha, Doctor Qin, we are welcoming our hospital's divine doctor! I was thinking yesterday about how to welcome our divine doctor, and this morning I rushed to report this matter to the dean. This has all been approved by the dean," Lian Wenxin replied with a smile, not forgetting to take credit for himself.
"Thank you, Director Lian," Chen Fan said politely.
Lian Wenxin quickly waved his hand. "Doctor Chen, you are too kind. This is what you deserve."
Chen Fan was not impressed by Lian Wenxin's eagerness and asked with a faint smile, "Director Lian, where is my office?"
Lian Wenxin slapped his forehead. "Oh dear, how could I forget such an important matter?"
"Because of the incident last time, our hospital found it necessary to establish a surgery department, so we cleared out the adjacent department and turned it into the surgery department's office."
"Our hospital is establishing a separate surgery department?" Chen Fan was somewhat surprised.
Lian Wenxin smiled and replied, "That's right. And Doctor Chen, I have more good news for you."
"Starting today, you are no longer an intern. The hospital has decided to formally appoint you as a surgeon."
Chen Fan looked at Lian Wenxin with some astonishment.
There were still six months left until his internship ended, and he hadn't expected the hospital to promote him to a doctor so early.
"Congratulations, you owe me two meals now," Qin Shuran said to Chen Fan, congratulating him.
"No problem." A look of excitement appeared on Chen Fan's face.
"Doctor Chen, what about us? We've been colleagues for half a year, you can't favor one over the other."
"That's not favoritism, that's being blinded by beauty!"
"Right, right, blinded by beauty!"
The surrounding doctors started to tease him.
Chen Fan blushed under their teasing and saw that Qin Shuran was also a bit embarrassed. He quickly said, "No problem, you guys pick the time and place, and I'll pay."
Upon hearing that Chen Fan was really going to treat them, the scene became lively again. "Doctor Chen has struck it rich! We must have a good feast!"
"Alright, Doctor Chen, come with me to see your new department," Lian Wenxin said to Chen Fan.
Chen Fan nodded and followed Lian Wenxin towards the adjacent department.
In the corridor, Lian Wenxin said politely to Chen Fan, "Doctor Chen, there have been some rumors in the hospital before. Please don't believe them. You know, sometimes I'm not targeting you, but as a director, I have no choice in some matters."
Chen Fan smiled, naturally knowing what Lian Wenxin was referring to – the matter of firing Chen Fan to get Lian Wenxin's nephew into the hospital.
He then said, "What rumors? I haven't heard anything."
Lian Wenxin quickly replied, "It's good that you haven't heard anything. This is our hospital's newly established surgery clinic."
With that, Lian Wenxin opened the door to the surgery clinic.
Chen Fan looked at Lian Wenxin's back, his brow furrowed slightly, wondering why Lian Wenxin's attitude had changed so quickly.
Even after saving that female patient, it shouldn't have made Lian Wenxin so obsequious towards him.
He could feel a sense of awe from Lian Wenxin towards him.
After walking into the clinic and taking a look, Chen Fan nodded with satisfaction. Although it was a bit run-down, the hospital had provided all the necessary equipment for the emergency room.
After a brief chat, Lian Wenxin left the emergency department.
Just as Chen Fan was about to tidy up the department, hurried footsteps were suddenly heard from outside the door.
"Doctor Chen, something's wrong!" a female nurse said in a hurry.
Chen Fan stopped what he was doing and asked, "What is it?"
"A woman came to the hospital just now, saying she was looking for you. She brought a lot of people with her, and they look fierce."
"A woman? Looking for me?" Chen Fan was completely bewildered.
The female nurse nodded quickly. "Yes, when she arrived, she said she was looking for you and that you were a heartless man, that you got her pregnant and are now refusing to take responsibility!"
Chen Fan's eyes widened, and he asked in disbelief, "What? Someone said I got her pregnant? And now I'm not taking responsibility?"
This was clearly a frame-up.
"Director Lian and Doctor Qin have already gone to handle it. Director Lian asked me to come and tell you to leave through the back door of the hospital and come back to work after this matter is resolved," the female nurse added quickly.
Chen Fan shook his head. "If I leave now, won't it be admitting guilt? I'll go and see who is trying to frame me."
With that, Chen Fan walked out of the clinic.
"Doctor Chen! That woman brought a lot of people," the female nurse quickly chased after him.
At this moment, in the lobby of the treatment building of the psychiatric hospital, a woman with a pockmarked face sat on the hard floor, crying profusely.
Beside the woman, a burly man with tattoos on his arm was constantly comforting her.
"Brother, I don't want to live anymore. I really don't want to live anymore. How could I have fallen for this heartless man? He said so many sweet things back then, and only then did I agree to be with him. I never expected him to abandon me and my child."
"Sister, don't worry. If I see that heartless man, I won't let him off! I'll chop him up and avenge you!"
The burly man kept comforting her.
Behind the two were many fierce-looking men, and in front of them stood Lian Wenxin and a group of hospital doctors.
"Are they talking about Doctor Chen, who performed the craniotomy yesterday?"
"It must be him, he's the only Doctor Chen in our hospital."
"I heard the hospital just made him a full-time employee and even opened a separate emergency room. I didn't expect such a thing to happen."
"You really can't judge a book by its cover. I never expected that the seemingly honest Doctor Chen could do such a heinous thing."
"I'm now very suspicious of Doctor Chen's taste. How could he have fallen for this woman?"

The doctors and nurses standing behind Lian Wenxin were all whispering amongst themselves.
They all knew that after this incident, Chen Fan would probably not be able to work at this hospital anymore, as reputation was the most important thing for a doctor.
