"My, my... we have visitors." Bardos didn't reply, suddenly looking up at the sky.
"Who? Who's so bored they'd come to play here?" Champa grumbled.
The next moment, Vegeta, Rumsshi, and Whis slowly descended from the sky, landing opposite Champa and Bardos.
Champa rubbed his eyes vigorously.
"This, this, this... this is..." Champa looked at Vegeta with disbelief.
Bardos also looked at Vegeta thoughtfully.
Vegeta was alive?
"This... kid, you're Vegeta, right?" Champa asked directly.
"So you still remember me. I thought you'd forgotten all about me," Vegeta smiled faintly.
"It really is you, kid!" Champa was ecstatic. He jumped up from his seat and hurried to Vegeta's side. "Quick, I've missed you so much! Bring me your canned yellow peaches."
Vegeta: "..."
You bastard!
You miss me, or you miss canned yellow peaches?
"No rush," Vegeta smiled. "I'll give it to you later."
"Hurry up, I've waited for over a decade," Champa urged.
"You've waited this long, what's a little longer?" Vegeta chuckled.
"Come on, tell me what happened?" Champa gritted his teeth and asked, "Didn't Rumsshi there destroy you?"
Speaking of which, Champa cast a glance at Rumsshi.
"Hmph, Rumsshi, you're not welcome here. Why did you come?" Champa grumbled.
"As if I'd want to deal with you," Rumsshi snorted. "If I hadn't destroyed Bardos's person last time, do you think I'd be here?"
"Oh dear, what happened? Did Mr. Vegeta get resurrected?" Bardos was also a little puzzled.
"Mr. Vegeta was indeed destroyed by Lord Rumsshi. However, after the destruction, we discovered his soul was exceptionally strong and not completely annihilated. So, we've been trying to repair his soul all these years. After so many years, his soul has finally been fully repaired," Whis sighed. "I forged a new body for him, so Mr. Vegeta is now fully revived."
"Now I'm returning this fellow to you, the Sixth Universe, in one piece!" Rumsshi declared.
"No wonder after over a decade, this kid's height hasn't grown at all. Turns out his soul was severely injured," Champa finally understood.
Bardos didn't think much of it. Hearing Whis say Vegeta's soul was strong, she looked at Vegeta's body out of curiosity.
Upon looking, Bardos was indeed a little surprised.
The strength of this little guy's soul was truly remarkable.
If an Angel's soul strength was 100, then his soul strength had reached at least 50.
A God of Destruction's soul strength was only 40.
The little guy's soul strength had already surpassed that of a God of Destruction.
No wonder Lord Rumsshi hadn't completely destroyed him.
"We only managed to repair him today, so we've come to return him to you," Rumsshi said.
"Hmph, as if I were a robot!" Vegeta snorted, his face darkening as he looked at Rumsshi. "You giant elephant, you'd better wait! You beat me like this, and one day I'll get you back!"
"Alright, it's a miracle that your soul was preserved. Don't provoke that guy," Champa grumbled, instructing Vegeta. "Hurry up and get your canned yellow peaches! I'm impatient!"
Vegeta: "..."
So after waiting all these years, Champa wasn't waiting for me, but for canned yellow peaches.
"As agreed, I've returned him to you," Rumsshi said. "Our business is settled."
"Hmph," Champa snorted and looked at Vegeta. "Kid, be grateful you got your life back."
"Tch!" Vegeta rolled his eyes.
"You kid, your temper hasn't changed one bit," Champa grumbled. "I'll say it again, if your canned yellow peaches are delicious enough, I might consider letting you stay by my side."
"Let's put the canned yellow peaches aside for now," Vegeta said, immediately looking at Bardos and continuing, "I've come this time to fulfill my promise to Bardos."
"Me?" Bardos blinked.
"That's right, you said that when I grew up, you would marry me," Vegeta said. "Now I've grown up, almost 18."
Bardos: "..."
If you hadn't brought this up, I would have almost forgotten.
"Kid, you call this growing up?" Champa grumbled. "Take a look at your height. You haven't grown an inch compared to ten years ago."
"Oh my, Mr. Vegeta's height is indeed not very tall," Bardos smiled. "Although you're almost 18 this year, your actual age is only around five, right? After all, your soul has just been repaired, and your body is still the same as it was over a decade ago."
"I'm counting by years. Don't mind what my body looks like, my age has arrived," Vegeta said.
"We'll talk about it when you've grown up," Bardos said with a smile. "The way you are now, even if I married you, the height difference wouldn't be quite right."
"Oh dear, Bardos, do you really have such an agreement with Mr. Vegeta?" Whis asked with a smile from the side.
"Hee... I was just playing with a child back then, and the little guy actually took it seriously," Bardos leaned towards Whis and whispered.
"Bardos, aren't you bullying a minor?" Whis chuckled.
"Hee hee... Don't you think he's quite amusing? I just like to tease him," Bardos lowered her voice.
"He is quite interesting," Whis nodded and asked, "Mr. Vegeta said you two even made a vow back then?"
"Indeed, there was such a thing," Bardos replied.
"What was it?" Whis asked curiously.
"This... perhaps it's best not to say, it's not very appropriate to reveal..." Bardos wiped her brow.
"I heard Mr. Vegeta say that you pinky promised and swore for a hundred million years not to change, and whoever changed would be whose daddy..." Whis didn't say the last two words.
"Elder Sister already knows about it... We can't let the Grand Minister know about this," Bardos sighed. "If the Grand Minister knew about this, I don't know what expression he'd have."
"Oh my, I'm truly astonished. The little guy dared to make such a vow!" Whis exclaimed.
"It was a long time ago," Bardos smiled.
