Chapter 30 Angels Do Not Lie

"Let me see," Whis said.

Vegeta didn't think much of it and handed the communicator to Whis.

Whis took the communicator and pretended to examine it closely.

"Oh my, oh my... it really is broken," Whis nodded as if he were serious.

"Fix it," Vegeta said.

"Well, even if I fix it, you'll only be able to communicate with me," Whis lied, explaining, "Because this device carries Angelic power. Bardock's Angelic power accidentally leaked out, which is why you couldn't contact her. If I were to repair it, I would have to infuse it with my own Angelic power, so in the future, you'd only be able to reach me."

Vegeta looked bewildered.

*Does she think I'm an idiot?*

*Angelic power can just leak out? Is Angelic power that easy to leak?*

"Look, there's a crack here. Perhaps it was cracked when you unleashed your energy," Whis gently created a crack with his finger and pointed it out to Vegeta.

Vegeta leaned in to take a look.

Indeed, there was a barely perceptible crack on it.

"Angels don't lie," Whis smiled.

"Angelic power leaks out so easily? Even if this was filled with water, would such a small crack let it all leak out so quickly?" Vegeta was half-convinced, half-doubtful.

"Oh my, oh my, you can think of it as Angelic power being highly compressed energy. In such a sealed container, once a crack appears, the internal pressure becomes too great, causing the Angelic power to disperse rapidly and disappear," Whis explained with conviction.

Vegeta understood.

It felt a bit like a gas tank.

Once a small crack appeared, the liquefied gas inside would immediately leak out and vaporize in a short period.

"Forget it. You can fix it and put your contact information on it. It might be useful later," Vegeta replied.

"Mr. Vegeta, you're on our planet. We see each other every day. Is there really a need for this communicator?" Whis replied with a smile.

"It'll be useful to keep," Vegeta said.

"Whis, what are you dawdling for?" Rumsshi, who had been listening nearby, couldn't stand it any longer.

*Just give him a communicator.*

*Let's avoid him getting suspicious.*

"Alright, I'll fix it for you." Whis nodded gently, covered Bardock's Angelic power with his own, and then repaired the crack.

Afterward, Whis returned the communicator to Vegeta.

Vegeta pressed the button on the communicator.

"Whis, are you there?" Vegeta said.

Then, Vegeta saw the scepter in Whis's hand flicker a few times.

Whis: "..."

*I'm right beside you!*

*And you're asking if I'm here?*

"Whis, say something quickly," Vegeta urged.

Whis silently wiped sweat from his brow.

"Received," Whis reluctantly replied.

"Hmm, I heard you. It proves this thing works quite well," Vegeta nodded with satisfaction and put the communicator away.

Whis let out a small sigh of relief.

*Finally managed to get away with it.*

*He shouldn't suspect me anymore, right?*

"By the way, Whis, this communicator works no matter where it is, right?" Vegeta asked.

"Yes," Whis nodded.

"That's good," Vegeta smiled slightly.

"So? What are your plans now?" Whis asked. "Bardock shouldn't be able to come over anytime soon."

"Ask her when she'll be here and give me a specific time," Vegeta replied.

"She said she's busy for the next two years," Whis replied. "Grand Minister has important matters for her to attend to, and it will likely take at least two years, or even longer."

Vegeta: "..."

Vegeta grumbled inwardly, cursing Bardock from head to toe.

*How shameless.*

*You just abandoned me here like this?*

*But it's fine.*

*Training with anyone is still training.*

*This little loli, Whis, looks pretty good too.*

"Are you planning to stay here and wait for her, or do you have other ideas?" Whis inquired.

"If you ask me, why would you go to Universe 6? Just cook good food for us, and I'll teach you the skills of a God of Destruction," Rumsshi said.

"Are you serious?" Vegeta asked.

"What's there to be serious about? This isn't difficult. Teaching you won't take much effort," Rumsshi scoffed. "Of course, it all depends on your talent. Don't waste my time teaching you for half the day and you still learn nothing... I don't have that much patience."

"What about you, Whis? Can you teach me?" Vegeta then asked Whis.

"Sure, as long as you make us delicious food, I'll teach you," Whis stated her condition.

"Alright, it's a happy decision," Vegeta said. "How about this: on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I'll train with Rumsshi, and on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, I'll train with you, Whis. How does that sound?"

Whis: "..."

Rumsshi: "..."

"Kid, I don't think you understand the situation, do you?" Rumsshi said irritably. "Whis's and my training paths are different. Whis is an Angel and practices Autonomous Ultra Instinct. No, to be precise, she's born with Autonomous Ultra Instinct! Autonomous Ultra Instinct is a special skill that allows for self-preservation and risk avoidance. I'm a God of Destruction, and I practice the Destruction God's technique, which is a very overbearing destructive energy, primarily focused on destruction."

"Does it matter?" Vegeta asked calmly.

"Of course, it matters. You need to have a focus," Rumsshi scoffed. "Trying to grasp both at once will only result in failing at both."

"Let's do it my way first. I want to see which one I'm more suited to learn," Vegeta pondered.

"Kid, you haven't listened to a word I've said, have you?" Rumsshi's face darkened.

*This kid is quite opinionated.*

*It's fine if you're opinionated.*

*But what is this idea?*

*Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, learn the Destruction God's technique.*

*Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, learn Autonomous Ultra Instinct.*

"Alright, let's try it," Whis winked at Rumsshi.

Rumsshi said no more.

*We're doing it for the food anyway.*

*If you want to try, then try.*

*Actually, this is good too.*

*Teaching you every other day is more convenient than teaching you every day.*

"Then what about Sundays?" Whis asked with a smile.

"I'll rest on Sundays," Vegeta replied. "When it comes to training, one must learn to balance work and rest. Just training blindly without rest will only cause hardship to one's body."

"When do you plan to start?" Whis asked.

"What day is tomorrow?" Vegeta inquired.
