Chapter 6 The Photos Secretly Taken

She was still contemplating when Lu Mingxi spoke, "Little kitten, I didn't realize you were married."

Qin He scoffed, "I'll be a divorced woman soon. Young Master Lu, I won't keep you company any longer."

Lu Mingxi watched her walk out of the private room, his gaze fixed on her slender, straight back. A hint of an inexplicable smile flickered in his narrow eyes.

Qin He stepped out of the room, took a deep breath, and put the day's events behind her. She called Xu Wanwan and got her location.

When she found Xu Wanwan, she was boisterously downing drinks.

"Let's go," Qin He waved at her.

Xu Wanwan stood up unsteadily, swaying. "We're leaving already?"

Seeing her flushed face, it was clear she had had too much.

Qin He considered herself unlucky, stepped forward to support her, and grumbled through gritted teeth, "Why didn't you tell me I was married?"

Xu Wanwan mumbled, "Huh?" and then slurred, "I thought you knew."

She wrapped her arms around Qin He's neck. "Didn't your brother tell you?"

Qin He cursed Qin Yun in her heart again.

He told her Gu Qichen was a scumbag, but didn't tell her that she was married to that scumbag?!

Xu Wanwan was quite drunk, so Qin He took her directly back to the Qin residence.

As they entered, they saw Qin Yun sitting on the sofa with a displeased expression, his legs crossed.

Hearing the noise, Qin Yun looked up. "So you still know how to come back?"

He raised his head and saw Xu Wanwan being supported by Qin He, and was stunned.

"Why is she here too?"

"What?" Qin He, panting, threw Xu Wanwan onto the sofa.

Xu Wanwan's body bumped into Qin Yun, and she let out a soft moan, frowning.

Qin Yun stiffened. He awkwardly extended a finger and pushed Xu Wanwan's head to the side.

Qin He went to the table, poured a large glass of water, and gulped it down. She then instructed Qin Yun, "Help Wanwan to the guest room."

"You..."

Before he could start speaking, Qin He suddenly turned around, her eyes filled with a coldness. "I haven't settled accounts with you yet."

"...?"

Qin Yun immediately shut his mouth.

Even though he didn't know what it was about, remaining silent at this moment was clearly the wise choice.

He turned his head and kicked Xu Wanwan's foot. "Hey, can you stand up?"

Xu Wanwan didn't respond. She closed her eyes, looking like she was about to fall asleep.

"..."

Qin Yun stood in front of her, looking down at her for a long moment. Finally, he let out a heavy sigh, bent down, and scooped her up from her knees and shoulders, carrying her in a bridal style.

Qin He remained frozen in place until Qin Yun carried Xu Wanwan into the room.

After a while, she came back to her senses, touched her chin, and smiled.

It seemed that during the two years she had lost her memory, these two had also experienced something.

She returned to her own room, showered, and lay on the bed, preparing to sleep. Suddenly, she remembered the man she met at the bar.

He was, in fact, still her husband.

At that moment, she suddenly remembered her old phone.

After the car accident, she had gotten a new phone. She hadn't thrown away the old one and kept it in her room's drawer.

She reached out, turned on the bedside lamp, got out of bed, and found the old phone.

There wasn't much important information on the phone, as she wasn't someone who liked keeping a diary.

But she loved taking pictures.

Qin He tapped into the photo album, and her fingertips froze above the screen.

They were all related to her daily life.

Photos of her preparing a table full of dishes, clearly waiting for someone; photos taken in rooms she didn't recognize; and more, photos of Gu Qichen.

His profile, his back...

But they were clearly taken secretly, and some were even very blurry, perhaps due to guilt.

Qin He clenched her phone. Seeing these photos, even though she remembered nothing, an inexplicable sense of discomfort welled up inside her.

However, the next moment, her gaze fell on the last photo.

A photo of a woman embracing Gu Qichen.

The discomfort in Qin He's heart vanished without a trace. She was now furious.

He was indeed a scumbag!

Cheating during marriage!

The next day, Qin He woke up early and headed straight for the Civil Affairs Bureau.

Gu Qichen was also punctual.

He wore a white shirt, his posture tall and slender. His features, bathed in sunlight, had a立体感, impossibly handsome.

But his expression and the aura he exuded were extremely cold.

Qin He thought that perhaps she married him because she was attracted to his face.

"You're punctual today," however, the moment Gu Qichen spoke, his icy, piercing tone made Qin He very displeased.

She glanced at him faintly. "Stop the nonsense and let's get this done."

With that, she walked into the Civil Affairs Bureau herself.

Gu Qichen watched her retreating back, his brows furrowing subtly.

Last night, he had his assistant investigate, but no hospital had any medical records for Qin He, and he couldn't even find any information about the car accident.

So, was her claim of amnesia true or false?

But if it was false, and she was suddenly so resolute, he somehow felt a little...

He paused in place for a moment, then ultimately ignored the anomaly and also walked over.
