Chapter 17 Party Revelry

((*´i`*)—The Xia Family

Xia Wanfu went downstairs after meticulously dressing up.

She wore a pink, cinched-waist, halterneck long dress, revealing her fair, slender neck, adorned with a pearl necklace.

White high heels, her long hair cascaded down, and her face bore delicate, light makeup.

She exuded an aura of pure loveliness with a hint of subtle sexiness.

Downstairs, Xia Yichen was engrossed in playing games, the sounds of which filled the air.

"Top lane, top lane! Is this support an idiot? I'm so pissed off."

"Damn, we're going to lose."

Xia Wanfu couldn't help but roll her eyes at him, managing to suppress the urge to scold him.

"Brother, I'm going out. When you have time, please go check on Mom and Dad."

"Oh, got it."

Xia Yichen glanced at Xia Wanfu, not paying much attention. However, he quickly looked again, his eyes filled with astonishment.

He asked with a smile, "Sister, where are you off to?"

Seeing his pretense of ignorance, Xia Wanfu snorted coldly and walked out the door.

Unbothered by the snub, Xia Yichen shrugged and continued his game.

As for Xia Wanfu's request for him to see their parents, it had long since flown out of his mind.

The summer night breeze was cool, and looking up, the sky was filled with stars.

Xia Wanfu took a deep breath and murmured to herself, "Success or failure hinges on this. We must succeed, failure is not an option!"

Then, she took out her phone and called Wu Jiajia.

The call was answered quickly, and a cacophony of noise came through.

There was loud, energetic music, screams, and exclamations…

Xia Wanfu's heart began to pound.

From the other end, Wu Jiajia shouted, "I'm sending you the address."

Xia Wanfu only caught a part of it before the call ended.

Immediately after, her phone chimed with a message notification.

The location was a villa complex on Linglu Mountain, in the suburbs.

Xia Wanfu knew the place. Although Linglu Mountain was remote, the villas there were not easily acquired.

Linglu Mountain had fresh air and beautiful scenery.

Amidst the clouds and mist, it resembled a fairyland, and its mountain spring water was sweet and delicious. There was also a hot spring resort at the summit, offering great comfort.

Many retired high-ranking officials and people from prominent families chose to live there in their later years.

Xia Wanfu went to the underground parking garage and got into her small BMW.

She then turned on the navigation, set the destination, and drove off.

The car sped along, leaving the city behind, and the traffic gradually thinned.

The suburban night was dark, illuminated only by pale streetlights and the faint glow of the moon.

All the way, Xia Wanfu's heart was in her throat.

She was afraid of the dark, afraid of ghosts, afraid of everything.

If it weren't absolutely necessary, she wouldn't be venturing out alone so late.

The fear and a sense of grievance brought tears to Xia Wanfu's eyes.

But she bit her lower lip, forcing herself to hold back the tears.

The drive took a good forty to fifty minutes to reach the destination.

In the darkness, Linglu Mountain had scattered lights.

From the foot of the mountain to halfway up, a ribbon of light snaked upwards.

This was the only road up the mountain, and the "ribbon of light" was formed by the streetlights lining the road.

At the entrance at the foot of the mountain stood a small house, where the security guard resided.

The entrance was blocked, preventing unauthorized access.

As her car stopped at the foot of the mountain, a security guard approached to inspect.

Seeing it was just a car worth around three hundred thousand yuan, the guard's demeanor became a bit arrogant.

Most cars that ascended the mountain were luxury vehicles starting from a million yuan; this small BMW was hardly impressive.

He walked up to the car and said unpleasantly, "Unauthorized personnel are not allowed entry."

Xia Wanfu pursed her red lips, remaining silent.

She took out her phone and dialed Wu Jiajia again.

Seeing her on the phone, the guard didn't rush her, simply crossing his arms and waiting.

The call was answered quickly, still filled with celebratory music and wild screams.

A moment later, the noise subsided significantly, likely because Wu Jiajia had moved away.

"Tell the security guard that we're here for Young Master Jiang's party at Villa Number Seven."

The call was on speakerphone, and the security guard heard this.

However, his attitude remained unchanged.

Villa Number Seven hosted parties almost every other day, with all sorts of women coming and going.

This only fueled his disdain for Xia Wanfu.

Everyone knew that Young Master Jiang was a notorious playboy, changing women faster than clothes.

Those associated with him were rarely respectable.

He walked back with a look of distaste, pulled out a remote control, and opened the iron gate.

Xia Wanfu started her car and drove up. This was the only road, so she just followed it.

The streetlights here were a warm yellow, providing ample light all the way.

Not far along, she saw someone standing by the roadside waving at her.

Wu Jiajia guided her to park the car in a roadside parking spot.

Xia Wanfu got out of the car, and Wu Jiajia appraised her from head to toe.

Seeing that she had made an effort to dress up, Wu Jiajia nodded with satisfaction.

Xia Wanfu, in turn, examined Wu Jiajia.

She was wearing an extremely short, tight black miniskirt, her hair styled in exaggerated waves, her lips painted a bold red, exuding a sultry and alluring charm.

Wu Jiajia linked her arm and said with a smile, "I'll take you to see Young Master Jiang later. You must perform well; this is your only chance, so seize it."

Xia Wanfu offered a slight smile, her gaze already fixed on the luxurious villa not far away.

It was as bright as day there, with music faintly audible.

Upon entering the house, the sound became deafening.

The scene was one of dazzling lights and dancing crowds of men and women.

They were very close, some kissing intimately, embracing… extremely unrestrained.

Xia Wanfu blushed at the sight, but Wu Jiajia seemed accustomed to it, leading her through the crowd.

In the villa's living room area, several men sat on sofas, each with a woman on either side, holding wine bottles.

Wu Jiajia led her directly to a man in a floral shirt.

He had alluring, expressive eyes, well-defined features, and a slight smirk that gave him a roguish air.

As Wu Jiajia approached, a woman beside the man quickly made way.

Wu Jiajia sat down directly and whispered something into the man's ear while embracing his arm.

Xia Wanfu stood there somewhat awkwardly, unsure where to look.

After Wu Jiajia finished speaking, the man turned his gaze to her, his eyes scanning her from head to toe with unabashed scrutiny.

Xia Wanfu knew clearly that this was Jiang Zexi, the scion of the Jiang family.

Jiang Zexi seemed reasonably pleased with the woman before him. Perhaps after seeing so many overtly alluring women, a change to a more innocent type was welcome.

He pushed aside the woman on his other side and beckoned Xia Wanfu over.

Xia Wanfu nervously shuffled her feet. Wu Jiajia kept signaling at her.

As soon as she got close, Jiang Zexi grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his embrace.

The scent of alcohol and male pheromones filled her nostrils, along with a hint of warmth from his embrace.

Xia Wanfu's heart pounded, her face flushed like fire, her soft eyes misting over. Coupled with her recent tears, her eyes were slightly red.

She appeared pitiable and pure, exuding a delicate, innocent beauty.

She lowered her eyes, afraid to look around, her body stiff and unmoving.

She had never had a boyfriend before, and this was the first time she had been this close to a man.
