Qi Yu, along with Si Qing and Feng Mingxi, turned and walked away.
Seeing this, Yu Zhen quickly cried out, stopping the three of them from leaving, "I'll say it now. I want to tell you that Blood Demon Fiend and... Rakshasa Heavenly Venerable seem to be secretly designing a poisonous herb specifically targeting the South Sea Dragon Clan. I'm not entirely sure of its name or purpose, but I only know that this herb will cause dragons to suffocate and fall into a coma."
Yu Zhen looked at Feng Mingxi, "I've already told you such important information, can you let me into the barrier now?"
"No, I'm sorry," Feng Mingxi refused, "This Dragon Scale Barrier, along with the Heaven and Earth Barrier, concerns the safety of all living beings. Yu Zhen, since you have chosen to stand with Blood Demon Fiend, even if you betray them now, it proves nothing."
Yu Zhen was momentarily dazed, her focus not on what he said but on the address, "You called me Yu Zhen directly?"
"Otherwise?" Feng Mingxi looked at her with a mocking gaze, "Do you expect me to call you mother?"
Yu Zhen's face turned pale from his retort.
"Your Majesty, Crown Prince, Crown Princess," a demon minister walked over from not far away and bowed to Feng Mingxi, Qi Yu, and Si Qing.
Feng Mingxi glanced at him, "What is it?"
"As you instructed, we took a headcount of our demon tribe and found an extra person," the demon minister whispered to Feng Mingxi, "The extra person is Feng Mian."
Qi Yu's face showed a mocking expression, "Feng Mian?"
The minister nodded.
Feng Mingxi chuckled, "How interesting. Isn't Feng Mian no longer affiliated with the demon tribe? Didn't he marry a wife from some race? I forget, but he's so powerful, why didn't he find his own way to protect himself during this war of the three realms, instead of hiding amongst our demon tribe and accepting our protection?"
The minister dared not speak.
After his mockery, Feng Mingxi waved his hand at him, "Go and have him brought here."
The minister bowed.
In less than half a cup of tea's time, Feng Mian was brought over, escorted by guards.
His cultivation was sealed, and he was bound tightly. When he was escorted before Feng Mingxi, he refused to kneel, but the demon soldiers behind him directly kicked his knees, forcing him to his knees on the ground.
"Feng Mian, you have no shame," Qi Yu couldn't help but mock, "Feng Mingxi said you had left the demon tribe and established your own sect. Then why are you hiding amongst the demon tribe seeking refuge now? You should have gone outside the barrier yourself and not relied on our protection."
Feng Mian's face turned red.
Feng Mingxi narrowed his eyes and looked at him, his voice indifferent, "You are not a demon, nor do you belong to any other race. You should leave the barrier."
"Feng Mingxi, outside... outside is full of malevolent energy," Feng Mian knelt on the ground, rubbing against Feng Mingxi's hem, "My wife and children have abandoned me. I cannot leave here. What happened before was my fault, my mistake. Please, don't drive me away."
Feng Mian's tears flowed.
Si Qing crossed his arms, "Indeed, the malevolent energy outside is very strong. If you were expelled, you would likely be instantly consumed by it."
Feng Mian looked terrified.
Yu Zhen stood outside the barrier, wanting to come in but unable to. She wanted to speak up to plead for Feng Mian, but as the words reached her lips, she remembered her current predicament and ultimately closed her mouth.
Feng Mingxi looked at Feng Mian, "Don't come begging me. You are not a demon. Your mother is outside. Haven't you always had a good relationship with your mother? Since that's the case, the two of you can reunite outside with your sister."
"I was wrong, I was wrong," Feng Mian prostrated himself at Feng Mingxi's feet, "Don't drive me out. I'll do anything within the barrier. I beg you, Your Majesty, Your Majesty, I beg you."
Qi Yu picked at her ear.
Si Qing sighed, thinking carefully, and felt that there wasn't really anything that Feng Mian needed to do personally.
Feng Mingxi looked at Qi Yu, "Is there any task that is too regrettable or dangerous for others to do, but must be done?"
Qi Yu thought for a moment and shook her head.
Feng Mingxi kicked Feng Mian out of the barrier, "If not, then there's nothing we can do. You and your mother can go and defect to Blood Demon Fiend. They probably need useless people like you."
Feng Mian let out a cry of despair and turned to pounce forward, but he was already blocked outside the barrier.
Yu Zhen looked at Feng Mingxi's retreating back with a forlorn expression, "You really don't want your mother anymore?"
"How can all three of you abandon me..."
"Clarify this," Qi Yu turned back, her gaze devoid of emotion, "Who abandoned whom first?"
Yu Zhen said nothing, covering her face and weeping.
Feng Mingxi looked at Yu Zhen, "You have no right to cry. Because the people standing before you, whether it's me, or Qi Yu, or Si Qing, have all sacrificed a lot for you. And you, you have done far too little for us, far less than the harm you have caused us."
"One more thing," Qi Yu turned back to look at Yu Zhen, "Although I'm not letting you into the barrier, rest assured, unless Blood Demon Fiend kills you, I will save you on the battlefield no matter how many times it happens."
Yu Zhen was stunned.
Si Qing also looked at Qi Yu with a strange expression, "Why?"
"Because, after all those damned people are dead, her life must be kept to settle the score," Qi Yu said with a gentle tone, uttering cruel words, "The debts of these years, every single one must be settled properly. Therefore, her life and Feng Mian's life are very important."
Yu Zhen's body turned cold.
She looked up and happened to see Li Yu, who had been demoted to a slave not far away, kneeling on the ground being slapped and scolded by the Dragon Palace maids for breaking a teacup.
Yu Zhen met Qi Yu's eyes.
This time, she finally understood what Qi Yu meant by settling the score.
Her voice trembled, and she began to back away:
