Chapter 413 What Is This Kid Saying

Wang Lanqing looked at the little milky bun. "What's your name?"

"My name is Changge," the little milky bun said, holding up four fingers. "I'm already three years old."

Wang Lanqing silently pressed down one of her fingers. "This is three. You're three years old, how are you so small? But it's very clever that you remember your name at such a young age."

Little Changge looked at Wang Lanqing. "Hungry, hungry."

She lowered her head and picked at her fingers. "I want to find Mama..."

Qi Yu squatted opposite Changge, arms crossed. "You little thing are really strange. Why didn't you respond when I was talking to you? But you answered Wang Lanqing when she spoke to you?"

Changge looked at Qi Yu with a frightened expression.

Her eyes welled up with tears.

Wang Lanqing looked at Qi Yu. "Perhaps because you're a bit fierce?"

"I don't feel like it. Am I fierce?" Qi Yu touched his face, a hint of self-doubt in his voice.

"You are indeed a little fierce. Please retract your Heavenly Dao pressure. Human children can't withstand that," Si Qing reminded Qi Yu expressionlessly.

Qi Yu, who had been pondering where he was being fierce, immediately understood when Si Qing said that. He slightly restrained his imposing aura, and Changge, the little milky bun, visibly relaxed.

"Changge, tell sister, did you come to this world alone? Where are your parents?" Wang Lanqing looked at Changge. "You're hungry, what do you want to eat? Open your mouth and let me see if you have teeth."

Little Changge let out a sound and opened her mouth.

There were milk teeth, but only a few scattered ones, not yet fully grown.

"Little Heavenly Dao Lord, Changge is still young and can only eat pureed food. Moreover, she's not from this world," Wang Lanqing said, looking into Qi Yu's eyes. "So I suggest we keep her with us for now, as this child might transmigrate back at any moment."

Qi Yu nodded, but then another problem came to mind. "Where should the child be kept?"

Annuo handed Changge to her. "Whoever found her takes her. Do you really intend to keep this child in the Nine Heavens? Your father and I have just finalized the heavenly laws and regulations for the Nine Heavens, and there are still many rules we haven't personally tested for loopholes. We're simply too busy."

Wang Lanqing and Chi Shangming waved their hands in unison.

Wang Lanqing refused. "Although this child is from my hometown, and we should have a lot in common, she's too young. And I really have a lot of unfinished work, so I'm too busy to take care of a child."

Chi Shangming nodded. "We can only occasionally go to the 13th Heaven to help out, but taking care of a child is something we really can't help with."

Qi Yu looked at Shaofeng.

Shaofeng didn't even have time to glance at him, buried under a mountain of official business, so busy with stamping that he wished he had an extra hand.

Qi Yu looked at Changge, their eyes meeting. Finally, he sighed and agreed.

"Alright, then I'll take this little one back to the 13th Heaven. But how do you make pureed food?"

Qi Yu scratched his head.

"Oh, I can easily find a wet nurse who can take care of children to go with you to the 13th Heaven to help," Annuo said, not considering taking care of a baby a big deal. "Changge is young now, she eats and sleeps. There's nothing particularly troublesome. As for teaching her to write and read, it's not difficult. For clothes, make sure to prepare several sets. Life in the 13th Heaven is so boring, perhaps taking care of a child will even bring you some joy."

Qi Yu was unconvinced.

He picked up little Changge and walked towards the direction of the 13th Heaven with Si Qing. As they walked, he said to Si Qing with a look of disdain, "She's just a little thing who hasn't been weaned. What's so interesting about her? This little one will probably cry her eyes out in fear every day in the 13th Heaven. Sigh, if only we could send her back sooner."

"Compared to that, I'm more interested in what Wang Lanqing said," Si Qing looked at Qi Yu. "Sister, Wang Lanqing always says she's from another world, and now she says this child is also from another world. And the qipao she's wearing seems to fit. So, what is the world Wang Lanqing talks about like?"

Qi Yu shook his head. "Who knows? I'm not curious anyway. I haven't even explored this world completely, why would I be curious about another?"

Si Qing thought about it and felt it made sense, so she said no more.

Upon arriving at the 13th Heaven.

Qi Yu had someone prepare everything Changge needed for food, clothing, housing, and transportation.

He also arranged accommodation for the wet nurse Annuo had sent.

Once everything was arranged, Qi Yu brought the apple puree made by the wet nurse and sat opposite Changge. While feeding the little one, he asked,

"Changge, you said you're three years old. Do you remember what your parents look like?"

After Wang Lanqing's partial explanation earlier, Qi Yu had a rough understanding that the "Mama" the little one had called out wasn't referring to a numb hand or foot, but her mother.

In their terms, it would be "Niangqin."

"...Mm... I forgot," Changge shook her head vigorously. After finishing the last bite of apple puree, she remembered to babble a lot more.

Qi Yu held his forehead, utterly unable to understand what the child was saying. A barrage of unfamiliar words exploded in his mind.

Helpless, Qi Yu had to call Wang Lanqing over again.

Wang Lanqing, like a translator, sat opposite little Changge and asked a few basic questions.

Qi Yu watched as Changge either shook her head or nodded, then babbled a lot more, sniffling as she spoke. He finally couldn't contain his curiosity and asked Wang Lanqing, "What's the situation with this child? What are her parents' names? Did she transmigrate alone? And what was she saying just now?"

Actually, Qi Yu and Si Qing didn't completely not understand. It was just that many of the words Changge used sounded strange to the siblings.

They weren't sure if their understanding was correct.
