Upon entering the barrier, they were greeted by mountains formed from special ores. The seabed, which should have been pitch black, was a completely different world within the barrier, illuminated by a blazing sun hanging high in the sky.
"A sun at the bottom of the sea? Impossible. It's either an artificial sun, or I've already transmigrated. Mountains made entirely of ore... this must be what Orochimaru was looking for!"
Li Xing glanced at the scattered rocks ahead and could immediately discern the energy contained within this ore. It was indeed a valuable resource for people in the Naruto world, though Li Xing had no need for it.
"Detected extraterrestrial ore, would you like to record it?" While Li Xing was still marveling at this barrier world, Li Yun's voice echoed in his mind. This was routine; whenever he discovered something special, Li Yun would prompt Li Xing to record its data so it could be materialized later if needed.
"Record it, record it. This stuff seems quite valuable. It'll be perfect to give to Master Tsunade; she'll probably love it."
Karin was also curious about the place, squatting on the ground and picking up碎石. The multicolored stones fascinated her.
"Star Lord, is this the bottom of the sea? So many pretty stones! I want to make a necklace for you. We can wear matching couple necklaces."
Although Li Xing wasn't particularly interested in jewelry, he agreed since Karin liked it. He immediately used his data to create a pair of couple necklaces. When put together, the two necklaces formed a pair of starlight wings, with Li Xing's on the left and Karin's on the right.
"Karin, they're ready. I'll put yours on for you." Li Xing gently fastened one of the necklaces around Karin's neck. Joy filled Karin's heart. "He made them so quickly after I mentioned it. Star Lord is just too good to me!"
Thinking this, Karin threw her arms around Li Xing's neck, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed him.
However, their tender moment was cut short by an arrow flying rapidly from the distance. Li Xing, holding Karin with one arm, caught the incoming arrow with the other.
"Come out, you who enjoy sneak attacks."
As Li Xing finished speaking, over a dozen people emerged from behind the ore mountains ahead. They all wore identical white robes, with six tomoe symbols printed on the collars.
Karin, her mood soured, glared furiously at the approaching group. The atmosphere had been ruined. Couldn't they have waited until she and Star Lord finished their embrace before attacking?
"Star Lord, these people are so annoying! I want to beat them up! How dare they interrupt my affection with you? It's unforgivable!"
Li Xing was also curious about the group. However, their immediate attack indicated they were not friendly. Since Karin wanted to vent her anger, Li Xing decided to let her have her fun.
"Just leave one alive for questioning. Be careful and don't get hurt."
With Li Xing's permission, Karin could no longer restrain herself. She charged forward at top speed.
"Raiton, Raikouken!"
Lightning instantly surged around Karin's fists. She dashed in front of one of the attackers and delivered a punch. The target had no time to react and was killed instantly. The area struck split into several bolts of lightning, striking those beside him. It appeared to be a single-target attack, but it was, in fact, an area-of-effect attack, catching them off guard.
Karin originally didn't have lightning affinity. However, after being assimilated by Li Xing, she had become a genius with all attributes, able to concentrate chakra with ease. Simple ninjutsu like this was developed by Karin herself. Li Xing had merely taught her combat methods and how to wield her monstrous strength, as she disliked using weapons.
"Die! All of you, die! Damn you, for daring to interrupt my intimate moment!"
Karin, now in a frenzy, hammered her opponents, repeatedly shouting "die" and similar phrases. Li Xing found it somewhat endearing, the stark contrast of Karin's usual gentle demeanor with her ferocity in combat. She was truly adorable, so demure normally but completely unhesitant when fighting.
Before long, Karin had dealt with most of the enemies, leaving only their leader alive. However, he was still destined for a beating. Karin dragged the near-lifeless man over.
"Star Lord! Star Lord! I saved one for you. Look how amazing I am!" Karin tossed the man forward and then ran to Li Xing, seeking praise.
"Yes, yes, my Karin is the most amazing." As he spoke, Li Xing casually pinched Karin's cheek.
He then turned his attention to the man lying on the ground, stepping on his hand. The man cried out in pain, tears streaming down his face.
"Who are you? Why did you attack us? And what is this place? How did you get here? Tell me everything, or next time I'll step on your head instead of your hand!"
Although the man was on the verge of passing out from the pain, he recounted the situation to Li Xing truthfully, desperate to survive.
He explained that a meteorite had once fallen here. When the Sage of Six Paths came to inspect it, he only saw the ore. Later, he sealed a demon here and instructed a family from the Ninja sect, known as the Kaiyō, to guard the seal for generations.
While guarding the seal, the Kaiyō clan one day discovered that the area had been sealed off. Only a stone tablet remained, left by Indra, the eldest son of the Sage of Six Paths. Indra, already a Six Paths level expert at that time, had created the barrier. The Kaiyō clan members were naturally unable to break it.
In later generations, some unfortunate individuals accidentally entered the barrier, but without exception, none could leave. The Kaiyō clan concluded that this was a one-way seal barrier.
Now, the Kaiyō clan didn't even know they had been submerged by the sea, merely surviving within the barrier to continue their lineage.
The mountains formed from ore were from the fallen meteorite. The Kaiyō clan used these ores to prolong their lives, though it seemed to lose its efficacy with overuse, failing to grant immortality.
Currently, the Kaiyō clan was severely divided. One faction, the obstinate traditionalists, insisted on guarding the seal. The other, the radical faction, desired to venture into the outside world.
The man before them belonged to the radical faction. Their leader had sensed intruders and wanted to capture Li Xing before the traditionalists could, hoping to find a special method to escape. However, they had underestimated their opponent.
Once Li Xing understood the situation, he swiftly dispatched the man with a single strike. With his injuries, he was better off dead. Li Xing thought it was a good deed, muttering "Amitabha" to himself.
"Star Lord, what do we do? According to him, how do we get back? Are we going to die here?" Karin was truly scared this time. While being with Li Xing was wonderful, Karin longed to travel the world with him.
"Don't worry! Have you forgotten what I told you? I am omnipotent. A mere barrier is nothing. Let's go. We'll visit the Kaiyō clan and see if there's anything interesting."
With that, Li Xing took Karin's hand and walked forward. Hearing Li Xing's reassurance, Karin returned to her usual infatuated self, tightly gripping Li Xing's large hand, even embracing his entire arm in her excitement.
"Guests from afar, welcome to Kaiyō Village. I am Kaiyō Kawa, the current head of the Kaiyō family. I earnestly request that you be our guests."
At this point, a group of people appeared before Li Xing. They wore the same attire as the previous group. However, these members of the Kaiyō clan were more polite. They appeared to be the traditionalist faction mentioned earlier.
"They must have seen the previous fight and realized our strength. They want to recruit us to help guard the seal? After all, in their eyes, those who enter cannot leave." Li Xing thought disdainfully. A bunch of old foxes. Not a single member of the Kaiyō clan was simple; they were all cunning.
Li Xing wanted to see what they had up their sleeves. So, he cupped his hands and said, "We had an accident at sea and fell here. This is our first time. Thank you very much. We will impose on you then."
