Chapter 34 A Matter, A Little Theater

Lu Ze opened his eyes with a slight headache. He had slept so comfortably, but the after-effects were quite strong. He only had two cups of fruit wine, and he was already drunk.

"Teacher Himeko, then I'll say goodbye here. We will definitely meet again in the future. At that time, I will definitely accept your invitation. Although I get drunk after just one cup, so please go easy on me then."

After speaking, he stood up, patted the dust off his clothes, poured the cup of fruit wine from in front of the tombstone onto the grass, and then left silently.

There was still half a day left, which left him a bit bewildered. What should he do? Perhaps he should say goodbye to Kiana properly, as he didn't even know if he would be able to return in the future.

In a nearby inn, Kiana silently wiped away the moisture on her body. She looked at her fair skin and her hair that had inexplicably grown longer. She held a comb and combed her hair with a smile.

The smile was perhaps because Lu Ze had returned, and she had finally spoken the words hidden in her heart.

In fact, Kiana had sensed his feelings a long time ago, but she hadn't said anything immediately. How should she put it?

At first, she felt he was the same towards everyone, whether it was her Aunt Mei, Teacher Himeko, Mei, or Bronya.

He could take care of anyone with great subtlety. He could even act as a bonding agent, occasionally helping Kiana and Bronya.

But the more he was like this, the harder it was for her to say those words. Perhaps it was due to pride as a girl, or perhaps she was afraid of her guess being wrong.

So it dragged on until now. However, it was good that she had finally spoken out. At least she had expressed her feelings, and it turned out that he liked her too.

As for Mei? It didn't stop her from being close with Mei. Only children make choices; as an adult, she wanted it all.

"Kiana, are you done washing? If you are, your clothes are on the bed. I'll leave first."

Bronya was now holding a large pile of parts, preparing to find a place to repair her Heavy-Duty Bunny. It wasn't that she was unaccustomed to walking, but she wasn't in such a hurry. Flying was indeed better.

"Okay, I understand. Remember to call Lu Ze for dinner later. That guy took wine to see Teacher Himeko, and he'll probably get drunk after one cup again."

"Alright."

The room returned to peace. Kiana, wrapped in a white towel, walked out. She looked at the clothes on the bed that had already been dried and immediately put them on. The scene was momentarily a bit suggestive and couldn't be described in detail.

The weather had turned a bit cold recently. She had put on her White Comet outfit. Perhaps because it was just dried, it was warm and cozy. The large spherical objects were suddenly constricted, and her long hair was pulled out from the inside of the jacket.

"It feels so comfortable. I just wonder... how is Mei..."

Seeing this jacket immediately reminded her of Mei. She really didn't understand why Mei had gone to the World Serpent. Although she didn't quite understand it and even wanted to stop her, things had already developed to this extent, and she was powerless to change them.

On the other side, Lu Ze stumbled his way to the inn. Perhaps it was because he had just woken up, or perhaps the after-effects were too strong. He would bump into a wall almost every two steps, which made his head ache.

Suddenly, a door opened, and Lu Ze bumped his head directly into the doorframe, then fell to the ground with a thud, his eyes turning into spirals.

"I knew I shouldn't have drunk wine... When will the system give me a talent for the God of Wine..."

Kiana felt the vibration of the door and poked her head out. What was this thing lying on the ground? Why was it on its back? Hadn't they rented this entire floor? How could there be... a stranger...

When she saw that face, Kiana froze, and then immediately became flustered.

"Ahhh, Lu Ze! What's wrong, Lu Ze! Are you going to die? You can't die yet!"

The commotion directly woke up Fu Hua next door. Fu Hua, wearing her red glasses again, glanced at the person in front and said:

"Kiana, what's wrong? What did Lu Ze do? What do you mean by dying?"

Looking at the protagonist's condition, she silently scoffed, "He's just knocked himself out. Take him to his room to rest well. He probably drank too much again. Honestly, a grown man's alcohol tolerance is not even as good as mine, yet he still tries to show off."

Complaints aside, the two of them worked together to carry Lu Ze to his room. Soon after, a pot of sobering tea was brewed.

Lu Ze also woke up at this time, looking around in confusion. What was going on? How did I get back to my room? Didn't I bump into a doorframe and then... then faint?

Seeing the two women beside him, well, he probably knew what had happened next.

"I told you last time it's best not to drink. Today is her funeral, and I can understand, but you're being too rude! Here, have some freshly brewed sobering tea."

Lu Ze drank the cup of tea handed to him by Fu Hua without hesitation. After all, this wasn't the first time he had committed such an act. Many times when he got drunk, Fu Hua had taken him back. If it weren't for Fu Hua, perhaps one day... he would be lying shamefully on the street?

Good heavens, a down-and-out captain...

"It's good that you're okay. It's almost dinner time. After you finish your tea, let's go. I specifically asked the restaurant to stir-fry your favorite sweet and sour pork today. I think you'll have an appetite."

Kiana smiled sweetly, and with her White Comet outfit, it felt like everything had returned to the past.

"Kiana... There's something I must tell you..."

Mini-theater: Old Ancestor Kevin

"Kevin, can you put down your knife? Don't point your knife at Kiana, what if you scare her? Quickly put it away!"

Lu Ze stood in front of him, and the two of them looked like they were about to fight. But Dr. Mei behind them broke the rare atmosphere with a smile.

"Mei! I am your Kaslana! Why are you hugging this junior, Kiana! How am I supposed to live, Mei!"

A tear flashed in Kevin's eyes. He had never suffered such grievance. Mei beside him patted him silently. It would be better for her to say this.

"Kiana, I am your Mei! I'm here!"

But the two women behind Lu Ze seemed not to hear her. They hugged each other silently. Mei even rested her head on Kiana's head, stroking her affectionately. This felt really good...
