Xie Jiban also smiled, thinking he was indeed more skilled.
The three of them wandered around the campus for a while longer, essentially covering the entire area.
After their tour, An Ran kept saying that if she had tried a bit harder back then, she might have been able to get into Yan Yuan.
"Alright, let's go watch a movie. There's one called 'Peach Blossom Hero Fights the Chrysanthemum Monster,' I heard it's really good," Xie Jiban said with a smile.
"What a strange name," An Ran commented.
Wang Yue, however, had no memory of this movie. He wondered if a cinema would actually show a film with such a peculiar title.
They chose a cinema located in a bustling shopping mall not far from the school.
Wang Yue and An Ran walked behind, while Xie Jiban led the way, his steps almost buoyant.
"Wang Yue, when are you going to visit my school? I'll be your guide," An Ran said with a smile.
"Do people at your school like drinking milk tea?" Wang Yue suddenly asked.
"Huh?" An Ran blinked, then replied, "I suppose they do. I often see people buying milk tea."
Wang Yue nodded. "Then I'll come and investigate later."
"You want to open a milk tea shop?" An Ran asked curiously.
"You got it," Wang Yue replied with a smile. "So, can you help me keep an eye out for any good locations for rent or sale? I want to make my milk tea shop a huge success."
"Okay," An Ran agreed.
Wang Yue had a dream of opening milk tea shops in every university.
Soon, the three of them arrived at the shopping mall.
Upon checking the movie listings, Wang Yue realized that 'Peach Blossom Hero Fights the Chrysanthemum Monster' was not actually being shown. This confirmed that his memory hadn't been mistaken.
However, Xie Jiban scratched his head, saying he was sure he'd heard someone mention this movie being released.
In the end, the group settled on a foreign special effects blockbuster.
"Do you guys want popcorn?" Xie Jiban asked proactively.
Wang Yue shook his head. "I don't."
An Ran thought for a moment and also shook her head. "I don't like eating while watching a movie."
"Alright," Xie Jiban bought three bottles of cola. This was his first time watching a movie with a girl, even though another guy was present.
During the movie, An Ran sat in the middle, with Wang Yue and Xie Jiban on either side.
Xie Jiban had initially come with the intention of admiring a beautiful girl, but halfway through the film, he became completely engrossed in the plot, forgetting about An Ran entirely.
When the story reached exciting points, he would even gesticulate and silently exclaim, which looked rather amusing.
An Ran leaned close to Wang Yue's ear and whispered, "Your roommate seems pretty excited."
Wang Yue glanced at Xie Jiban and chuckled, "He's always like this."
An Ran nodded and continued to sit turned towards Wang Yue, not bothering to readjust her position, and watched the movie.
A faint floral fragrance occasionally wafted into Wang Yue's nostrils. An Ran was wearing some perfume, a subtle floral scent that was very pleasant.
However, Wang Yue didn't inquire about it, his eyes fixed on the big screen.
If he were a scoundrel, he might have taken advantage of the situation with An Ran without any hesitation.
But alas, he was not.
Even with the system by his side, certain worldly morals and etiquette still constrained him.
An Ran, for her part, showed no overt advances, simply enjoying the cinematic experience.
Finally, the movie ended.
Xie Jiban exclaimed with satisfaction, "This is the best popcorn movie I've ever seen! Too bad I didn't get any popcorn."
It wasn't until after the movie that he suddenly remembered he had come to see a beautiful girl.
However, he quickly dismissed the thought, as the plot had been too captivating.
By now, it was getting late.
Wang Yue escorted An Ran to the subway station and then departed.
On their way back, Xie Jiban was still excitedly discussing the plot with Wang Yue, completely having forgotten about An Ran.
"You know, kid, movies are probably your true calling," Wang Yue teased.
Xie Jiban also laughed. "I'm not blind. That girl clearly wasn't interested in me. The moment I got absorbed in the movie, I suddenly understood."
"Very philosophical," Wang Yue said with a smile.
"Absolutely," Xie Jiban chuckled.
The two returned to their dormitory.
Liu Yitong was not present, and Jiang Baiqi was playing League of Legends.
"You're back? Come on, come on, let's gain some ranks," Jiang Baiqi called out.
"Coming!" Xie Jiban said with a smile, "The number one Master Yi in the national server has arrived."
...
In the blink of an eye, National Day was approaching.
With a seven-day holiday, everyone was discussing plans for outings.
As the class monitor, Shi Bing began soliciting opinions on whether to organize a class team-building activity.
Most students were amenable, especially since it would be their first class team-building event, so no one raised any objections.
It was eventually decided that they would hike the Great Wall on National Day itself.
"He who has not been to the Great Wall is not a true man."
Many students who had come from other regions had never been to the Great Wall before.
Wang Yue had no objections. The milk tea shop outside Beida had already opened, and business was booming.
The revenue was even higher than his shop in the small town.
Consequently, he scouted several locations in the surrounding university town, and his branch expansion proceeded rapidly.
Wang Yue's wallet grew fatter, and he decided to buy a car.
This had been a plan he'd made before coming to university.
Wang Yue kept his purchase low-key and drove to a nearby 4S dealership.
Upon entering the dealership, Wang Yue was somewhat dizzied by the dazzling array of cars. Compared to his small hometown, the variety of cars in a big city's 4S dealership was much richer.
After browsing for a while, Wang Yue set his sights on a Lamborghini Aventador.
"How much is this car?" Wang Yue asked with a smile, pointing at the vehicle.
The sales consultant, a beautiful woman in black stockings, her eyes lit up. "Sir, you have excellent taste. This is Lamborghini's flagship model for this year. It has a V12 engine, producing up to 700 horsepower, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.9 seconds."
"The on-road price is approximately 7.8 to 8 million yuan."
This price was entirely within Wang Yue's acceptable range, and more importantly, he genuinely liked the car.
Therefore, Wang Yue did not hesitate and directly asked, "Is this available for immediate purchase, or is there a waiting period?"
"Sir, cars like this typically require a reservation. However, our dealership happens to have one in stock. If you complete the payment now, you can drive it away in three days," the sales consultant said, her eyes gleaming.
Customers like Wang Yue, who could spend such a large sum of money, were rare, especially given his youth.
She even felt a flutter of excitement.
Wang Yue took out a black card and said, "Please process the payment."
"Certainly, I'll prepare the paperwork right away," the sales consultant said quickly.
Wang Yue briefly glanced over the specifications, deciding to opt for all the highest configurations. If he was going to buy a car, he wanted it to be comfortable.
