Chapter 2 The Dragon Scripture

In the darkness, Long Xiao saw a faint green light group in the distance, rapidly approaching him, gradually transforming into a hazy, faint green old man. httpδ:/m.kuAisugg.nět

"Who are you, and where is this?" Long Xiao asked curiously.

"I am the divine consciousness of a Long family ancestor. This is your Sea of Consciousness," the old man sighed, then continued, "You're quite badly injured. Your body is too weak. Let's repair it first, or you'll die."

Several green lights emitted from the Long family ancestor's body, rapidly spreading outwards and disappearing.

Long Xiao stared blankly at the Long family ancestor, wondering if he had died.

Before he could ask, the Long family ancestor chuckled and said, "Don't worry, you won't die. I've completely repaired your body. My mission is to pass on the 'Long Cang' to you, then cleanse your marrow and expand your Dantian Qi Sea."

This is too miraculous. Am I dreaming? Long Xiao thought again.

"It's not a dream; it's real."

Long Xiao felt strange. He had too many questions to ask.

"Don't ask. Repairing your body consumed a lot of my energy, and I don't have time to answer your questions. You'll figure out those questions yourself sooner or later."

With that said, the Long family ancestor placed his hand on Long Xiao's head. His faint green body visibly faded and disappeared.

Intense pain struck again. Long Xiao felt his head splitting, as if countless things were drilling into his brain.

Just as Long Xiao was about to cry out from the pain, a warm and comfortable sensation appeared. He felt warm all over, as if he were soaking in warm water.

"Brother, are you okay?"

Long Xiao opened his eyes. A dirty face was very close to him, and a pair of clear eyes were looking at him with concern.

The person crouching in front of Long Xiao was a homeless man, dressed in tattered clothes, with long hair falling over his shoulders and a strange odor about him.

There were many vehicles and pedestrians on the street. They merely cast indifferent glances at the blood-covered Long Xiao from afar and then walked away.

Apart from this homeless man, no one approached him, as if he were carrying a virus.

"I'm fine," Long Xiao said, shaking his head.

The homeless man reached out and helped Long Xiao up.

"I'll take you home."

Long Xiao stood up and shook his head, saying, "No need, I can get back myself."

Back home, the Lin family was asleep. Long Xiao tiptoed to the bathroom, took off his clothes, bundled them up, and threw them in the trash. After cleaning himself, he examined his body and found no injuries.

It was truly miraculous. After a hurried shower, Long Xiao lay on his bed and began to ponder the 'Long Cang'.

As he thought of the 'Long Cang', an ancient and elegant scripture appeared in his mind.

He thought of opening it, and a green light separated from the 'Long Cang' and slowly dissipated. The general outline and table of contents of the 'Long Cang' appeared in Long Xiao's memory.

He didn't need to read it word by word. As soon as he thought about it, he could remember it all. It was wonderful.

The 'Long Cang' was vast and comprehensive, but learning it had to begin with the general outline.

After carefully studying the general outline, Long Xiao felt another surge of excitement. It turned out that the basic cultivation methods recorded in the general outline had already been completed by the Long family ancestor through his physical transformation, so he didn't need to cultivate them himself.

With the completion of the basic cultivation methods, his Dantian Qi Sea had been expanded, and his marrow cleansed. He could not only perceive his own body internally but also, through qi, perceive the bodies of others. Furthermore, his bodily functions had all multiplied.

Long Xiao jumped out of bed and tested his various abilities before contentedly lying down again to study the 'Long Cang'.

He had borrowed money everywhere to treat his father's illness. The 'Long Cang' contained a medical section, so naturally, he would study medicine first.

As he thought of opening the medical section of the 'Long Cang', dozens of ancient-looking scriptures separated from the 'Long Cang'.

Looking at the covers of these scriptures, Long Xiao first chose the three on Medical Fundamentals, Pharmacy, and Acupuncture.

The three scriptures turned into green light and disappeared. Long Xiao felt a massive amount of knowledge appearing in his memory. His head began to ache, growing more and more intense, and his consciousness became increasingly blurred.

Long Xiao opened his eyes again. It was already daylight. Recalling what had happened the previous night, he broke out in a cold sweat.

Although the 'Long Cang' was miraculous, opening too much at once was something his brain simply couldn't handle.

Long Xiao checked the medical knowledge in his memory and felt that he could now be considered a qualified doctor.

Every morning, Long Xiao would visit his father at the hospital and then go to the market to buy groceries.

His old bicycle was gone, so he had to take a taxi.

Upon arriving at the hospital entrance, Long Xiao didn't go in immediately. He first went to a nearby pharmacy and bought a box of acupuncture needles.

Leaving the pharmacy with the needles, ready to head to the hospital, he was halfway across the road when a strange sensation suddenly struck him. His body felt a sharp prickling pain, accompanied by an immense pressure, as if an army of a thousand horses was about to engulf him.

Long Xiao turned his head and saw a red Bentley approaching rapidly.

A sharp braking sound echoed, and Long Xiao instinctively dodged to the side, but it was too late.

With a bang, Long Xiao was thrown five or six meters away, landing on the roadside. The Bentley also stopped not far away.

His body ached, but it was bearable. Long Xiao quickly scanned his internal organs and bones and breathed a sigh of relief when he found them all intact.

After the Bentley stopped, the people inside did not get out. Long Xiao became furious, thinking, What kind of person is this? They hit someone and don't even get out to check.

With a face full of anger, he walked to the car door and pulled it open.

"You hit someone, do you know that?"

Inside the car sat a pale girl in a beige dress. Her face was delicate, her skin tender, and crystal-clear beads of sweat hung on either side of her delicate nose. Her eyes were tightly closed, and her breathing had almost stopped.

The moment he saw the girl, Long Xiao sensed something was wrong. He reached out and grabbed her wrist to check her pulse. He found her heartbeat was very slow, on the verge of stopping.

Without time to think, Long Xiao looked back at the road, found the box of acupuncture needles that had fallen on the ground, and quickly ran over.

He took out the needles and inserted them into the girl's body. After a few seconds, Long Xiao checked her heartbeat again and found it was returning to normal.

He breathed a sigh of relief, withdrew the needles, and waited for the girl to wake up.

A minute later, her long eyelashes fluttered, and the girl opened her large eyes.

"Where am I? What happened?"

"You just hit me. You nearly scared yourself to death."

The girl thought for a moment, placed her hand on her chest, and sighed, saying, "You saved me, right? Thank you, big brother. I have congenital heart disease. If I get startled, my heart can easily stop beating."

Earlier, while examining the girl's heart, Long Xiao had already examined her body. He was fully aware of her condition.

"This isn't congenital heart disease. You injured your heart meridian by accident when you were a child, causing qi stagnation and affecting your heart."

"Are you a doctor?" the girl asked.

Long Xiao nodded and said, "Sort of."

"Can you cure me?" the girl asked, looking at Long Xiao with hopeful eyes.

Long Xiao shook his head again and said, "Not yet. Perhaps I can cure you in the future."

To cure this girl, Long Xiao had an eighty percent chance of success. However, he didn't have a medical license yet, and regardless of whether he could cure her or not, it might cause unnecessary trouble.

Long Xiao only wanted to cure his father; he had never considered treating others.
