Chapter 157 The Reward for a Blueprint

The next morning, at nine o'clock, Qin Chuan and Chen Jinyu once again entered the main gate of Meitehao Headquarters.

This time, the two of them directly told the receptionist that they had an appointment with Director Chu.

Led by the receptionist, the two arrived outside the chairman's office. A beautiful female secretary greeted them and led them to knock on the chairman's office door.

Here, they saw Chu Deguang, who was meticulously working behind his desk. This future magnate of a hundred-billion-dollar group indeed possessed a unique aura.

When facing customers, he was refined and amiable, but when working, he exuded a serious and earnest demeanor that involuntarily inspired awe.

"Oh, Qin Chuan is here!"

"Find a seat anywhere, and let me finish my work before we talk!"

Chu Deguang looked up and, upon seeing Qin Chuan and Chen Jinyu, immediately said.

"No rush, Director Chu, please attend to your work!"

Qin Chuan smiled and found a seat with Chen Jinyu.

After the female secretary poured them tea, she left. The spacious office was now only occupied by Qin Chuan, Chen Jinyu, and Chu Deguang diligently working behind his desk.

The atmosphere became quiet for a moment. Chen Jinyu found the silence somewhat unbearable and fidgeted, while Qin Chuan remained calm, sitting on the sofa, sipping tea and casually picking up a newspaper to read.

He appeared completely at ease, as if he were in his own office.

It was only after a full half-hour that Chu Deguang finished his work and emerged from behind his desk.

"My apologies for keeping you both waiting!"

"Director Chu is incredibly busy, it's only natural that you'd be occupied. We aren't in a hurry!"

Qin Chuan put down the newspaper and said with a smile.

Chu Deguang sat opposite them. Qin Chuan picked up the teapot and poured him a cup of tea.

"Director Chu, your time is precious, so I'll get straight to the point!"

After pouring the tea, Qin Chuan began.

"You say it. I'm listening!"

Chu Deguang picked up his tea and took a small sip.

"I have a drawing here. Please take a look, Director Chu!"

Qin Chuan took out a rolled-up drawing from the leather bag he was carrying and presented it to Chu Deguang.

"A drawing?"

Chu Deguang's expression was one of confusion. This was entirely different from what he had anticipated.

Out of curiosity, he opened the drawing. After just a glance, Chu Deguang quickly looked up, a look of surprise on his face, and then lowered his head again to examine it carefully.

After a long while, Chu Deguang placed the drawing on the table, pressing it down with a couple of teacups. He pointed at the drawing and asked, "Who drew this?"

"I did!"

Qin Chuan replied.

Chu Deguang wore a conflicted expression of surprise and understanding.

"When was it drawn?"

Chu Deguang asked again.

"Last night. It took me about six or seven hours to complete!"

Qin Chuan answered frankly.

"Have you really never been to our Meitehao supermarket before?"

"No, yesterday was my first time!"

"You only visited for one afternoon, and then upon returning to your hotel, you drew such a detailed drawing?"

Chu Deguang was utterly astonished. His gaze fixed intensely on Qin Chuan's eyes, as if re-examining the young man before him.

"You could say that. I have a bit of a talent for drawing. I can remember everything I see at a glance!"

Qin Chuan continued to explain.

Chu Deguang fell silent. After a few breaths, he asked again, "If I asked you to draw a picture on the spot now, would that be a problem for you?"

"What does Director Chu want me to draw?"

Qin Chuan inquired, his expression as calm as ever.

"Hmm... How about drawing this office?"

Chu Deguang pondered for a moment and then said.

He couldn't be sure about other places, but his own office was definitely somewhere Qin Chuan had never been before. This would quickly reveal whether he was truly talented or not.

"What do you need? I can have someone buy it immediately!"

"No need, Director Chu! I had some paper and pens left over after drawing yesterday, and they're sufficient!"

Qin Chuan said, then rummaged through his leather bag for the colored pencils, pencils, and special white paper he had bought the previous day.

Thus, under the watchful eyes of Chu Deguang and Chen Jinyu, Qin Chuan meticulously observed the office. The entire process took about ten minutes.

Afterward, Qin Chuan walked over to the sofa, picked up his paper and pens, and quietly began his work.

As the saying goes, a true craftsman shows their skill with the first stroke!

As Qin Chuan's pen moved fluidly across the clean white paper, drawing a few lines, a light flickered in the depths of Chu Deguang's eyes.

As for Chen Jinyu, although she had witnessed Qin Chuan's formidable drawing skills before, she still displayed immense admiration this time.

Even if Qin Chuan's entrepreneurial ventures failed in the future, he wouldn't starve. With such powerful drawing abilities, he could easily find a teaching position at a university.

Or perhaps, he could even start his own art class...

As Chen Jinyu and Chu Deguang were lost in their own thoughts, time ticked by. More than an hour later, Qin Chuan finally put down his pen and let out a long sigh.

"Director Chu, it's done!"

Chu Deguang, who was trimming the plants, heard the sound and quickly put down his shears, striding over.

When he saw what Qin Chuan had drawn on the table, his eyes lit up completely.

"You've drawn the moment we just entered my office!"

Chu Deguang exclaimed, picking up the watercolor painting from the table. Every plant, every table and chair in the office was rendered on a piece of white paper, barely a foot wide and two feet long.

Everything was so exquisite and lifelike, as if it were a photograph taken by a camera. The colors were bright but not garish; everything was perfectly balanced.

In the painting, Chu Deguang was depicted working behind his desk. With just a few strokes, the essence of his diligent work attitude was captured.

The arrangement of books on the desk, the time on the wall clock, the plants and flowers around, the sofa, the coffee table, even the water droplets on the windowsill...

"Of course. If I just copied something, there would be no challenge, and it wouldn't convince Director Chu, would it?"

Qin Chuan rubbed his sore wrist and replied with a smile.

"Good! Good! This is truly excellent!!"

Chu Deguang held the painting, and the more he looked at it, the happier he became, his spirits soaring.

"Qin Chuan, I'm going to keep this painting. I hope you don't mind!"

"I never expected that I would meet such a genius!"

Qin Chuan smiled humbly, "Genius is too much. I'd say I have a little talent. When I was a child, I truly dreamed of becoming a painter, but unfortunately, due to life circumstances, I had to give up midway!"

"Director Chu, this drawing contains all my suggestions for Meitehao supermarket, as well as some improvements for the renovation!"

"To be honest, besides supermarket business, I also work part-time as an interior designer. This is somewhat of an instinct, I suppose. When I see something unsatisfactory, I feel the urge to fix it!"

"If there's anything inappropriate, you can just pretend I said nothing."

After Qin Chuan finished speaking, Chu Deguang stared at the painting on the table and burst into laughter.

As Qin Chuan wondered why Chu Deguang was laughing, Chu Deguang said, "Qin Chuan, your suggestions are excellent!"

"I truly never imagined that despite having so many capable individuals within my company, the person who proposed such a comprehensive plan would be an outsider! This makes me feel quite ashamed and proves that I still have a long way to go in terms of talent acquisition!"

"Qin Chuan, why don't you stop opening franchise stores and come work for my company directly? I'll offer you the position of Deputy Director, responsible for market strategy!"
