Chapter 504 You Are Unworthy

Chapter 504 You Are Not Worthy

Chen Yang found himself speechless upon hearing Liu Huang’s words. He had initially thought the man was unwilling to sell his copyright, only to discover that Liu Huang feared being cheated. What was even more unbelievable was that Liu Huang offered his unfinished manuscript for a mere three thousand yuan, refusing three million in front of him and settling for three thousand instead.

Chen Yang shook his head helplessly and said to Liu Huang, "Liu Huang, there's no need to be so overly cautious. If you're worried about the contract, we can go directly to a law firm to sign it. That should put your mind at ease."

Hearing this, Liu Huang's eyes showed a flicker of pain, which then turned into a hint of anger. He looked at Chen Yang and said, "I won't fall into the same trap twice. I no longer trust law firms, contracts, or courts."

"It's because of contracts that our family is drowning in debt, transforming from a prosperous household to one plagued by debtors, a impoverished and broken home."

"You scammed my father, and now you want to scam me. What exactly do you want? Do you want my life?"

Chen Yang frowned at these words, about to explain.

Just then, the coffee shop door was suddenly pushed open, and a woman dressed in flamboyant attire walked in. She appeared to be around twenty-five, reasonably pretty, though heavily made up. She wore an exquisite crimson dress and soft, red leather shoes with low heels. Her entire ensemble seemed like that of a young woman from a big city, utterly out of place in this desolate small town.

Upon seeing the woman, Liu Huang immediately stood up, excitedly waving to her. "Yuqing, Yuqing, I'm here! Yuqing, where did you come from? That's great, I was afraid you wouldn't come to see me!"

Liu Huang's speech became disjointed with excitement. He stood up, adjusted his glasses, and looked at the woman with an incredibly subservient demeanor, resembling a simpering sycophant.

Chen Yang sat to the side, shaking his head in exasperation at the scene.

Mo Yuqing walked over quickly. She approached the coffee table, cast a brief glance at Chen Yang without much regard, and then directly addressed Liu Huang. "Liu Huang, I came today to make things clear with you. We have completely broken up. Stop calling and texting me. I won't see you again."

Hearing this, Liu Huang trembled in pain. He grabbed Mo Yuqing's arm and pleaded, "Yuqing, what did I do wrong? Tell me, and I'll change."

"You don't like me writing novels? Fine, I won't write anymore. I'll do whatever you want me to do. Please, don't leave me."

"We've been together for two hundred and three days. How can our feelings of these two hundred and three days just end like this?"

Mo Yuqing forcefully shook off his hand and exclaimed loudly, "Liu Huang, what are you doing? Are you being indecent? Let go of me, don't touch me."

"Besides, you can do whatever you want. It has nothing to do with me anymore. If you want to go write your novels, then go ahead! Keep dreaming here forever!"

"You're just an immature child, constantly lost in dreams within anime and novels. You have no idea what I want."

"And look at yourself. You're a graduate of a 211 university, yet you're now a complete shut-in loser. Do you really think you're worthy of me?"

Liu Huang's face turned pale as he heard Mo Yuqing's words. His lips trembled, and he then stammered, "No, that's not true, Yuqing. I can really make money from writing novels."

"I've stopped writing my previous novels. The ones I'm writing now earn me twelve hundred yuan a month, truly. If I write with all my might, I can earn fifteen hundred yuan a month!"

"Please, don't leave me. We've spent so much time together, don't you have any attachment to it?"

Mo Yuqing let out a cold scoff. "I have no attachment to the time we spent together at all. Thinking about it makes me miserable."

"To be honest with you, Liu Huang, I got together with you because I thought you were a promising university graduate with a bright future, and your family owned a sand quarry, so you were wealthy. But I never expected you to be such a disappointment. You're all dreams and no substance."

"You spend your days dreaming, reading those nonsensical novels, and typing away on your keyboard. In the half year we've been together, what have you ever bought me?"

"You only get six hundred yuan in living expenses each month. The places we stayed when we went out were the most basic. And you carried your laptop everywhere. I’ve truly had enough."

Liu Huang shook his head disbelievingly. "But you used to say you liked seeing me pursue my dreams. I didn't go work in a big city; I stayed in our town to chase my dreams, so I could be with you every day. You said you really liked that. Why do you hate me now?"

Mo Yuqing couldn't help but let out a cold laugh. "Pursuing dreams? That's bullshit! You're just dreaming! Alright, I don't want to argue with you anymore. My boyfriend is here to pick me up. I just came today to tell you that we are completely finished. Don't contact me again."

Liu Huang slumped back into his seat with a thud upon hearing this.

At that moment, a black Audi car screeched to a halt outside the coffee shop. A tattooed man in his thirties stepped out and entered the cafe. He beckoned to Mo Yuqing, who immediately plastered a smile on her face and walked over to the man.

The man patted Mo Yuqing on the behind with a big hand, laughing heartily. "How was it? Did you make it clear with that loser?"

Mo Yuqing nodded. "Hua Ge, it's all sorted. He's so annoying, constantly texting and calling me like a fly. I've never seen such a bothersome sycophant."

Zhang Hua burst into laughter, slung his arm around Mo Yuqing's shoulders, and walked towards Liu Huang.

Liu Huang's face turned crimson at this sight. He shot up, indignant yet disbelieving. Liu Huang said to Mo Yuqing, "Yuqing, you... you found a boyfriend this much older than you?"

Mo Yuqing let out a cold laugh. "Yes, he's over ten years older than me, but he knows how to cherish me. He's much better than you, a homebody loser who's always dreaming."

Zhang Hua beside Mo Yuqing was laughing heartily. He placed his hand on Mo Yuqing's shoulder and pressed it onto her chest.

Zhang Hua smirked at Liu Huang. "Mr. Big Shot Author, I heard you and Yuqing were girlfriend and boyfriend for over half a year, yet you barely held hands. Oh my, do you want to have a taste?"

"How about this, you kneel down and kowtow to me, and I'll let you be Mo Yuqing's boyfriend for one more day. You can do whatever you want to her for that day. What do you say?"

Mo Yuqing, standing beside him, pouted playfully. "Hua Ge, you're too wicked. Let's go, don't bother with this loser."

Zhang Hua laughed heartily. "What are you afraid of? He's a renowned author, after all. I've finally got a chance to chat with a great author and fulfill his wish. I'm doing a good deed!"

Then, Zhang Hua looked at Liu Huang. "So, what do you say? Are you willing? To win back Mo Yuqing, to be with Yuqing, kowtow to me!"
