Chapter 606 The Tomb of the High-Meng Father Was Robbed

Gao Meng drove the car at full speed, heading towards the Gao family's ancestral cemetery.

The Gao family cemetery was located in the suburbs of Modu City, in a place of beautiful mountains and clear waters.

As they approached the cemetery, Gao Meng grew increasingly silent.

Song Qiao sensed Gao Meng's low spirits and said nothing.

Upon arriving at the cemetery, they saw undulating hills and a winding stream in front, a classic Feng Shui arrangement – a prime location!

Walking past rows of graves, gazing at the tombstone forest, both Gao Meng and Song Qiao remained silent.

They finally arrived at her father, Gao Hai's, tomb. She was on the verge of tears.

However, upon seeing the burial mound behind the tombstone, Gao Meng's expression suddenly changed drastically. "What's going on?"

She saw a large hole, about a meter in diameter, that appeared to be very deep.

It was a grave robber's hole!

The soil scattered from the entrance indicated it was fresh.

This hole had just been dug!

The two of them hurried forward to investigate.

Before they could get close, they heard voices from below.

One of them said, "This is really unlucky, getting a job digging up graves."

The other replied, "Well, we can't help it. We need the money... After we go up, we'll pee on this guy's tombstone to ward off bad luck!"

"Yeah, right! Speaking of which, it's all Gao Hai's foolish daughter's fault. If she hadn't been so foolish, we wouldn't have to be here doing this."

"What foolishness? She was fighting for inheritance. The Gao family is a prominent and wealthy clan. A single hair from them is enough for an ordinary person to live on for generations. Who would give that up?"

"Heh, that's true, but a woman shouldn't be fighting for the Gao family's wealth. Look at the result now – even her own father's grave has been dug up! What a waste, what a pity!" he said with a tone of feigned sympathy.

"Heh-heh, alright, stop pretending! We're the ones doing this, aren't we? Besides, for money, you'd sell your own mother and father..."

Gao Meng was stunned.

Her face turned pale, her body trembled, and tears streamed down from her eyes like a bursting river, unstoppable.

She never imagined that even in death, her father could not find peace.

Her heart sank, and she was about to leap into the pit.

Song Qiao quickly grabbed her, then patted her shoulder, urging her to calm down.

He whispered in her ear, "Don't rush. Wait for them to come up, and we'll deal with them one by one."

Gao Meng slowly regained her senses, understanding his intention.

If these two men were trapped inside and continued to cause trouble, it would be difficult to handle.

But now, they only needed to wait above, like a hunter waiting for prey.

So, Gao Meng and Song Qiao hid nearby, waiting for the two men to emerge.

Before long, they heard the two men below discussing coming out.

"Okay, okay, let's get out of here quickly. I'm suffocating."

"Alright, hurry up! This money is really damn hard to earn!"

Soon, a head slowly emerged from the grave robber's hole.

Dirty face, messy hair.

As soon as he appeared, he saw Song Qiao and Gao Meng staring at him. In a panic, he wanted to shout a warning.

Gao Meng, however, was already a step ahead. She covered his mouth with one hand and grabbed his shoulder with the other.

With a slight heave, she pulled him out of the hole like a carrot being uprooted.

This guy was quite tall.

"Hey, why are you so fast?" a teasing voice came from below.

Soon, the second person also appeared, and was dealt with in the same manner, but this one was short and stout.

He was also terrified.

Looking at the first man who had emerged, his eyes blazed with anger – how dare he not warn him!

Of course, they were in no position to warn anyone.

"Spare us, spare us." As soon as their mouths were freed, both of them pleaded for mercy.

Gao Meng asked hatefully, "Tell me honestly, what did you do to my father's grave?"

"What, this is your father's grave? You're Gao Meng?" the tall man exclaimed.

Gao Meng immediately slapped him. "It's my turn to ask you, not the other way around! If you don't answer properly, I'll skin you alive!"

"So you're Gao Hai's daughter. Let me tell you, I've already taken the old man's ashes! Let us go quickly, or you'll never find them!" To their surprise, the man's attitude became extremely arrogant.

Seeing his defiant attitude, Gao Meng's fury ignited, and she struck him.

*Slap!*

The blow landed on his face, causing it to swell instantly.

Simultaneously, blood spurted from his nose and mouth, along with a few teeth.

He was sent sprawling to the ground, unable to get up for a long time.

However,

He still glared fiercely at Gao Meng, "If you beat me to death, you'll never get your father's ashes back!"

"Do you think I wouldn't dare?" Gao Meng continued her assault.

"You little girl, do you really think I'm afraid of you?" the man continued to bluster.

"I took a job, and I have to follow the rules. If you want to know the whereabouts of the ashes, fine, pay me!"

"Tell me, how much?"

If the man had asked for hundreds of thousands or millions, she would have accepted it, as long as she could retrieve her father's ashes.

However, the amount he demanded was unacceptable to her. "Fifteen million. Not a cent less."

"What! Fifteen million?" Gao Meng was shocked and enraged.

Her entire fortune was less than ten million.

"I'll give you at most five million!" Gao Meng said, suppressing her anger.

"Less than fifteen million, no deal. Just wait for your father's ashes to be left to the elements!"

"Five million should be enough for you to live on for a while!" Gao Meng even tried to plead with him.

"Hmph, you're dreaming!" the man was unyielding.

At this point, Gao Meng's anger surged to her head.

They dared to dig up her father's grave, and now they were using his ashes to blackmail her.

She slapped him to the ground.

Blood trickled from the corner of his eyes, yet he still lay on the ground, chuckling.

"Little girl, are you not eating? Give me a good stretch! The money from your father's ashes is already enough for me to have fun!"

As Gao Meng was about to strike again, Song Qiao held her back. "Don't rush. Let me ask."

He then gestured to the other man. "This guy is stubborn. The other one looks easier to interrogate."

Song Qiao walked over to the short and stout man who had come up last. "Confess, or you'll lose your life!"

Fear flashed in the man's eyes.

He glanced at the tall man on the ground.

"Don't say anything, or I'll finish you!" the tall man shouted, threatening.

Though the short man's eyes were filled with terror, he tightly shut his mouth and shook his head.

Song Qiao said, "You won't talk, huh? Then watch this."

Saying that, Song Qiao went over to the tall man, grabbed him by the collar, and lifted him up.

The man was still shouting.

A fierce glint flashed in Song Qiao's eyes, and he threw a punch, hitting the man in the chest.

The tall man was sent flying backward, crashing into a cypress tree not far away.

*Bang, crack.*

The first sound was his body being hit by Song Qiao.

The second sound was his body colliding with the cypress tree, his bones and tendons broken.

The cypress needles rained down as if it were snowing.

Looking at the man again, a large hole had appeared in his chest, revealing flesh and blood within.

He was dead!

The trunk of the cypress tree was instantly stained red with blood.

Song Qiao turned back to the short man and asked calmly, "Have you thought about it? Will you talk?"

At this moment, the short grave robber was shaking like a sieve from fear.

Song Qiao was incredibly ruthless.

He struck immediately upon deciding, his single punch rendering his companion unrecognizable.

In reality, Song Qiao had been struggling to suppress his rage.

Digging up graves was truly an abominable act.

He had only used thirty percent of his strength for that punch, yet it had produced such a result.

It was indeed a deadly move, a single blow resulting in death, a gruesome sight.

It was also because it was too gory that he rarely used it.

Looking at the man now, his pants were suddenly wet, a large patch of them.

He had wet himself from fear!
