Chapter 483: Chapter 483: Stirring Up a Storm (Part 1)

In the hospital.

The North Family’s relatives were all waiting by the emergency room door.

The emergency room doors opened, and the doctor walked out.

Gideon North stepped forward immediately, urgently asking, "How is my father?"

The attending doctor took off his mask, revealing a tired face, and spoke hoarsely, "The old man has temporarily escaped danger, and he’s been sent back to the ward."

Everyone couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief.

The attending doctor continued, "But don’t be too optimistic. His current condition is very bad. You should quickly prepare for surgery. Otherwise, if it happens again, I’m afraid he won’t make it through."

Upon hearing this, Gideon’s heart tightened, and he hurriedly said, "Then please have Doctor Evans arrange the surgery as soon as possible."

Doctor Evans glanced at Gideon North: "President North, you must be aware of the old man’s condition. If I were to operate, I’m afraid he wouldn’t survive the surgery."

Gideon’s expression suddenly turned very grim: "Wasn’t it said that the old man’s health had been quite good lately?"

"It was quite good. If he were to recuperate like before for a year or so, the success rate of the surgery would be higher. But now, his condition is still too poor, especially just after the recent episode. My abilities are limited, I apologize."

With these words, other members of the North Family quickly turned to Gideon’s family, and the second family directly charged at him: "Brother, what did you do to make father so angry?"

"Be honest, are you trying to harm father?"

Gideon muttered, unable to speak, thinking he couldn’t say that it was because the old man wouldn’t let Claire pursue higher connections.

The less Gideon spoke, the louder the second family shouted, and others began to have more opinions.

Doctor Evans watched the corridor chaos, frowning: "Don’t do this. Although the old man’s condition is dangerous, there’s still hope. I heard Ghost Doctor Nowhere is a daughter of the North Family. If she was willing to operate, there’s a good chance he would be fine."

"Nowhere? You mean Raina North, right?"

"Yes, it’s Raina. She’s become quite successful, the Valley Master of Ghost Doctor’s Vale, Master Void."

The North Family members, excitedly discussing the recently prominent Raina North, even the second family was a bit more courteous, sarcastically saying things like she truly is lucky to have a good daughter.

Gideon’s back straightened a little.

Despite Brenda disliking everyone’s admiration for Raina, she wisely chose not to say anything at this moment.

Doctor Evans advised, "Since that’s the case, everyone should quickly contact Master Void."

Seeing everyone’s eyes on him, Gideon took out his phone to call Raina.

...

The Prosperity Gardens Apartment.

"Nowhere, you truly are a mischievous monkey, you stir things up wherever you go. Look, how long have you been back in Southgate? You’ve turned the North Family, The Hawthorne Family, The Veridian Institute, and even the whole Southgate upside down. Well done, truly well done."

Raina North coldly glanced at Master Foster and snorted, "Don’t think I didn’t hear your sarcasm."

"No, I wasn’t making fun of you; I was praising you."

"Praising?" Raina rolled her eyes, "Do you take me for a fool? You think I’d fall for that?"

"Haha, but you are Master Void. Who would dare think of you as a fool? But seriously, I’m praising you. Though you stir things up, these incidents also help reveal people’s true nature. People, without undergoing certain events, who knows whether they’re human inside or not?

Suffice to say, since I’ve been back, the Veridian Institute has been much quieter. If I’d known bringing you back would have this benefit, I wouldn’t have waited until now."
