Chapter 441: Chapter 441: Let Me Hold You, Please? (1)
Raymond Thorne was momentarily stunned, watching Anya Forrest’s slender figure disappear into the night, he couldn’t help but let out a low laugh.
If saying all those words just now had been somewhat impulsive, then at this moment, he suddenly became earnest.
He had lost his wife many years ago and had wandered aimlessly all these years. Now that his eldest son was almost capable of taking over the family business, he could finally relax.
Getting married at this moment, giving Anya a child, and raising the child while he’s not too old.
Thinking of such beauty, Raymond Thorne’s heart was aflame.
After sitting in the car for a while longer and suppressing the rush of emotion, he finally started the vehicle.
It wasn’t until the car drove away that Anya Forrest emerged from the shadows at the gate, after casting her bait for so long and expending so much effort, the fish was finally about to bite.
But it wasn’t enough. It was far from enough to make a man like Raymond Thorne abandon everything for her; she apparently needed to come up with another plan.
Anya pondered this while she walked into the neighborhood.
Just as she reached downstairs, a figure suddenly lunged in front of her, holding her tightly before she could react.
"Anya! Anya, you finally came back!" Quinn Thorne hugged Anya Forrest tightly.
Upon hearing this familiar voice, tasting this familiar breath, Anya’s long-buried resentment surged like a tide, her eyes seemed to freeze over with ice.
"Let go of me!" She struggled fiercely.
Yet her struggle only made Quinn Thorne hold her tighter: "No, I won’t let go, not for the rest of my life, Anya, you don’t know how much I’ve longed for you."
The man’s strength was immense, like steel, trying to imprison her.
Anya’s face turned cold, without hesitation she lifted her foot and stomped hard on Quinn Thorne’s foot, grinding the heel of her high shoe harshly.
Quinn Thorne cried out in pain, his grip loosening.
Anya took advantage of this moment to break free from his embrace, retreating quickly to create a distance rejecting him.
"Anya!"
Quinn Thorne chased after her without even waiting for the pain to subside.
After so many years, finally seeing Anya, the longing that had driven him to madness made him unwilling to be apart from Anya even for a second.
"Stop!" Anya commanded coldly.
"Anya, I’ll do anything you say, except for this time." Quinn Thorne said earnestly, after such a long separation and the trials of life and death, he couldn’t wait to embrace Anya.
Only by holding her in his arms would his heart find peace.
Anya’s eyes chilled, before Quinn Thorne could approach, she turned on her heel and walked briskly onto the main road, then shouted: "Help! Someone, help!"
The neighborhood security guards, hearing the commotion, rushed over immediately.
"What’s going on? What happened?"
Anya hid behind the security guards, pointing at Quinn Thorne who was catching up, she said: "This man tried to assault me, please help call the police!"
The guards turned to see Quinn Thorne approaching with an intense expression, without hesitation, they stood in front of Anya, shouting sternly at Quinn Thorne: "Stop! Don’t come any closer!"
Quinn Thorne wouldn’t listen, his mind and sight were filled solely with Anya.
The guards hurriedly shouted: "The suspect is aggressive, quickly call the police at 110!"
While shouting, the guard charged forward.
And he was promptly kicked aside by Quinn Thorne, who rushed towards Anya without hesitation.
Anya sidestepped Quinn Thorne, and smoothly pulled the baton from the guard’s waist, pointing it at Quinn Thorne: "If you come any closer, don’t blame me for being unkind."
"Anya, we haven’t seen each other for so long, I truly, truly miss you." Quinn Thorne looked at Anya as though he was gazing at his own life, his voice hoarse with a slight tremor: "Let me hold you, please, let me hold you."
