Chapter 1077: Fertile Soil Frontline

"These steel rails are the last of today's shipment," Yezi leaned half her body out from the canopy. "Thank you for your trouble!"

"Leave it to me!" Molly patted her flat chest and then whistled. "Come out, my servant Momota!"

A blue sphere emerged from the void and quickly expanded to the height of the treetop. It stretched out two hand-like transparent limbs, scooped up the pile of steel rails, and swallowed them into its belly—however, the rails were too long to be completely swallowed, so the front and rear ends were exposed, making it look as if the sphere had been pierced.

"Momo...ta? I remember you called it Momoka last time."

"Really?" Molly tilted her head. "But that's not important. What's important is shouting it out—it makes you look imposing, doesn't it?"

"Uh," Yezi thought for a moment. "Did Miyue tell you that?"

"Eh, how did you know?" Molly asked curiously. "She even invited me to join the Detective Squad."

Since the Demon Shadow projection, the heroic figure of Rogia roaring to transform into a giant wolf for his sister and throwing himself at the enemy had left a deep impression on everyone. Afterwards, fueled by the Detective Squad, shouting slogans while using their abilities had subtly become a fashionable practice among young witches. This was not a secret in Neverwinter City, but Yezi, being Miss Yezi, spent a long time in the Misty Forest, and her last appearance was at His Majesty the King's enthronement ceremony. It was quite unexpected for Molly that she would know so clearly.

"Because... no, it's nothing." Yezi coughed twice and turned to look in the direction of Neverwinter City. "New supplies are entering the forest again. I'll go there first."

Although Molly really wanted to know the answer, she tried her best to suppress her curiosity and waved goodbye to Yezi.

The latter turned into a shimmering spiritual body in the blink of an eye and merged into the shadows of the trees.

It was said that this ability allowed her to instantly appear from one end of the Misty Forest to the other. As long as it happened in the forest, there was nothing Yezi didn't know. And the myriad trees could also become the foundation for her to absorb magic power. That was why she could control plants to continuously transport building materials to the front line. The transportation efficiency of magic servants was simply not worth mentioning in comparison.

This was the power of ability evolution.

*I wonder when I can be like Miss Yezi,* Molly thought with envy. She had been in Neverwinter City for almost four or five months, and she no longer had problems reading. After she finished studying the principles of nature, it should be her turn to evolve, right?

She climbed on top of her magic servant's head and controlled Momota to walk out of the forest.

As soon as she left the forest, a bustling scene of activity unfolded before her eyes.

"One, two, three, lift!"

"A little more to the left!"

"Slow down, slow down!"

Nearly a thousand workers surrounded the railway extending northeast, repairing the Tower Zero Station in a tense and orderly manner. As the first station leading to the ruins of Taqila, it also served as a cover for the forest terminus. Four bunkers were located at the four corners of the station, connected by trenches and retaining walls. Workers wearing various clothes, and even naked, walked through it. If one didn't know His Majesty's plan in advance, it would be hard to associate this scene with the front line of battle.

"Oh, isn't this Miss Molly? You've worked hard!"

"I'll have to trouble you again today. The train crew is too busy."

"Miss Molly, there's a steam engine that's fallen over here. Can you help us right it?"

The magic servant carried the rails slowly through the crowd. People greeted her from time to time or asked her to help—she had only been here for a week, but many people had already remembered her name.

Although Molly's main task was to prevent accidents on the Seagull, she was always happy to lend a hand whenever someone asked for help—just like on Sleeping Island.

Seeing others smiling and thanking her also made Molly feel happy from the bottom of her heart.

What made her even happier was that only witches and a very few Fjord people on Sleeping Island would thank her. Apart from loading and unloading goods, there wasn't much she could help with. But here, everyone treated her like a celebrity, and there were requests for her help everywhere. As the saying went, the more thanks, the more happiness. As long as the Seagull didn't take off, she would walk along the railway with her magic servant all day.

After leaving the Tower Zero Station, the scenery along the way changed again.

Pillars of smoke vaguely appeared in Molly's sight.

These were the traces left by the trains.

In fact, these steel behemoths were the main force replacing Yezi. They continuously transported supplies out of the forest and to the front lines where construction was needed, as if they would never get tired. The rails she was transporting were just a small part of the remainder.

Unfortunately, according to Princess Tilly, these big guys were not so easy to manufacture. Neverwinter City only had two or three of them so far—this was also why the Seagull needed to travel frequently between Neverwinter and the front lines: no matter what happened on the Fertile Plains, production had to be maintained in the rear.

The closer she got to the end of the railway, the more soldiers in uniform she saw.

After a week of observation, Molly could roughly distinguish between the recruits and the seasoned veterans—those sitting on the ground listening to the instructor and secretly glancing at her from time to time were generally the former, while those concentrating on wiping their weapons and ignoring her were basically the latter.

"Look closely, these are the known forms of demons!" An instructor pointed to the pictures on the blackboard. "The most common is the Frenzied Demon. They are burly, with thick arms, and can throw extremely accurate bone spears, but they cannot throw continuously—unless they are backed into a corner!"

"Hahaha..." A burst of laughter rang out from the crowd.

"What are you laughing at!" The instructor scolded. "When you actually see that scene, you'll probably be so scared you'll piss your pants. Running away or surrendering won't save your miserable lives at this time. The only right thing to do is to aim and pull the trigger, and kill it before it kills you! Understand?"

"Yes!" The crowd responded in unison.

"Then look at the next picture," he pointed to another picture. "This monster with eyes on its forehead is the Mind Fear Demon. Although their numbers are far less than the previous type, their abilities are much stronger. As long as they see you, they can make you so afraid that you can't move, and you can only wait to be slaughtered by the enemy. This weird mental attack can be countered by God's Stone of Retaliation, and everyone on the front lines will be issued God's Stones, but you can't guarantee that you won't be careless one day and encounter them without God's Stones."

"What should we do then?"

"Pray to your grandmothers, or imagine your favorite people or things in your mind. In short, whatever you usually do to overcome fear, do it then!"

Hearing this, Molly noticed that someone was looking at her.

And she smiled and winked at him.

"Hey, where are you looking, you!" The instructor roared. "If you don't want to listen to the lesson, get your ass over to the construction site and carry cement!"

The man quickly retracted his head.

*Sigh, compared to the veterans, the recruits are more likeable after all.*

Molly pouted and continued to control her magic servant forward.

After walking several hundred meters, she could see the forefront of the railway—workers, soldiers, and witches mixed together, working together to build the railway further into the distance.

And the most eye-catching person in the crowd was a flaxen-haired girl in work clothes.

The Queen of Graycastle, Her Highness Anna Wimbledon.
