Gods Vanish on a Cloudy Day
Happy New Year! 2019 Summary, Plus Request for Monthly Tickets~ (First Update Already Posted)
First, let’s talk about updates. Since the book started in August, I’ve written more than 1.2 million words in five months, with a monthly average of 240,000 words. This is more than twice my previous average level, which is a significant improvement.
The results are also the same. *Eternal Town, Sky Abyss* from the same period has already ended unfinished, with an average subscription of 70. *Burning Steel* seems to be around 3,500, or even less. This book is more than twice as good as *Burning Steel*, which is really thanks to everyone’s support.
However, rapid updates have caused instability in the updates, and the fast pace of the plot has also disrupted my rhythm, resulting in some plots that could have been pondered and written better being written more hastily, and the quality is not as stable.
The high frequency of writer's block has also been tormenting me. This is a novel experience I have never had before—after all, the faster I write, the less time I have to consider the plot. The frequent chaotic updates of *Burning Steel* actually gave me more preparation time.
Of course, even so, the results of *Monster Die* are gradually increasing, which is inseparable from the support of all readers.
Thank you for supporting my immature self. I will try my best to improve and bring you better stories and worlds.
Therefore, I hope to leave myself a day after each volume is finished to think about the outline and plot of the new volume... I was embarrassed to ask for leave before, but now I'm being cheeky and asking for it in advance.
In fact, the fate of *Monster Die* is quite bumpy. Since this book was written, it has encountered many difficulties far more serious than writer's block.
For example, being reported and some chapters being blocked have happened more than once—you should know that *Burning Steel* with nearly five million words, only had one chapter of leave note blocked.
Of course, I'm not complaining about anything. It's just, how should I put it, spiritual Qi revival, Earth Beijing, modern times, such a big background, it is indeed not easy to write stories. There are too many things that reality can interfere with.
Well, for example, the plot of the Jiang Ling Society currently being written, I have considered for a long time, and probably deleted about 3 plot points.
The first one is related to the protagonist’s father. The patrolmen chased and arrested murderers who were bewitched by the Jiang Ling Society. The protagonist relied on the supernatural power of the Lord of Devouring Evil to pick out the criminals from a group of suspects.
The second one is before and after the Tang family, there is also a small section of the Jiang Ling Society's plot. Shao Qiming will track down the Jiang Ling Society forces behind the Tang family himself, trying to find the real enemy behind them—because he vaguely discovered that behind the foundation, there is vaguely a shadow of the Jiang Ling Society, and his enemy is not just the Tang family.
However, it was just after the National Day holiday at that time, and the side story of the supporting character was a bit watery, and the plot of the Jiang Ling Society, a kind of x-cult, was really not easy to write. After thinking about it carefully, I still reluctantly deleted it... As a result, after deleting it, I found that it was not easy for this organization to appear later... And the sense of existence of Shao Qiming and the Jiang Ling Society is also a bit weak.
As for the third one, after the Shepherd, the national cleanup plot should have started. It is still considering that this kind of plot of cutting down mountains and breaking temples and eliminating cults is likely to be reported to reflect reality or something... Anyway, there is no shortage of villains' roles.
Alas, I don’t dare to write fighting scenes on Earth now. They are all moved to other worlds. The previous writer's block was considering this. Later, I patted my head—since it’s not easy to write about Earth, why don’t I go to another world to fight? Look, I’m not blocked anymore.
And the villain organizations that were originally designed... The biggest Jiang Ling Society has been cut so many scenes, let alone other small organizations. Plans can't keep up with changes.
I'm digressing.
In December, I wrote a total of 230,000 words, which is less than the previous months, but there is no way, because there was a bit of writer's block at the beginning and end of the month, and there are many things to do at the end of the year, so I can't concentrate on writing. Sometimes I find a bit of inspiration, and I get called out...
I feel that the quality is a bit fluctuating. Sometimes I feel that the writing is good, and sometimes I feel that I can only squeeze out a few thousand words to barely keep updating.
Then, the new volume, Demon Hunter, the plot of the Beast God Realm, is actually a bit regretful. Although I wrote it very happily myself, I always feel that I have not written the complete Beast God Realm that I set—but if you think about it carefully, those slaughter factories and oppression systems, although writing them can show the cruelty of the Beast God Realm, they are also very easy to be blocked, so forget it, readers should be able to understand.
After all, there will be Beast God Realm plots later, which can slowly supplement the past and future of this world, as well as the protagonist's role in it.
I personally like to write all kinds of different world settings, including the local customs, the conflict of thinking and civilization. This is probably the reason why I write books, so my plots are always inseparable from these elements.
But also because I used the Earth background, many times readers will substitute reality, so that some plots will change their taste... I also feel a bit awkward while writing.
In short, the plot of the Litany Society and the Jiang Ling Society is almost over. These two organizations should have had a lot of scenes, as the main source of contradictions in the early and mid-term Earth, but the settings are not very clear (not worthy of the tens of thousands of words I made at the beginning), which is due to my lack of skill and improper details.
Up to now, *Monster Die* has 1.2 million words. Although Su Zhou has been invincible all the way, it is not that he has not encountered unqualified enemies. Now, he has grown a lot. Compared with the initial impulsiveness, he has become more and more calm.
And the next plot will unfold the true essence of this book, or in other words, I can finally jump out of this damn Earth background. Alas, I will never write an Earth background again next time. I said why urban abilities are so difficult to write, it turns out that the difficulty lies here...
In short, since I have written so much, then ask for monthly tickets and recommendation tickets!
During the double monthly ticket period, you won’t lose money if you vote, you might even make a profit! Today has been updated once, and there will be about 10,000 words of updates later!
Finally, I must say that many people have 2,000 words per chapter, and I have no shortage of chapters with 5,000 or 6,000 words... I really update a lot! It's just that I'm too lazy to divide chapters and break chapters!
