Chapter 338 - 339: Takedown and Decimation

Chapter 338: Chapter 339: Takedown and Decimation

"Hmph. So what?"

Otto scoffed with disdain. "Cross the line, and forget high-ranking government officials or even Celestial Dragons, my captain won’t let them off. Much less two measly lab rats."

Enrod knew his captain’s wild temperament; once angered, it wasn’t easily quelled.

"Don’t make things worse for yourselves! We’re on a top-secret government mission. If we die here, the Marines will surely come to retaliate, perhaps even with a Buster Call, directly destroying this entire island," Fitch threatened.

"PFFT! HAHAHAHAHA..."

Otto, Enrod, and Galan burst into raucous laughter.

"A Buster Call? What a joke!" Enrod openly showed his contempt.

"A Buster Call with five Vice Admirals, ten warships, and ten thousand soldiers might intimidate ordinary nations and pirates, but it won’t scare us," Galan mocked. "Do you think the island’s defenses are just for show? Do you think those experimental products in the base are useless? Hmph. The power on this island alone is enough to ensure several Vice Admirals perish in a Buster Call."

Beck grimaced, quickly saying, "Hey~ Hey~ Don’t be so absolute. Let’s leave some room for negotiation; we might meet again."

"If you surrender and honestly tell us your purpose, perhaps Captain Aeridar will let you off," Galan kindly suggested.

"That’s not an option. We are men of principle," Beck waved off.

"Enough with the useless talk! Let’s cripple them first!"

Otto and Enrod frowned impatiently, simultaneously flashing forward.

Thump!

Beck and Otto met fist-to-fist.

Clang!

Fitch’s Armament Haki-hardened arm blocked Enrod’s long blade.

Surging air currents rampaged through the corridor, transforming into a fierce gale that spread outwards.

Rip!

Otto swung his palm, and Beck dodged, but the sharp claws scraped against the metal wall, leaving a claw mark amidst flashing sparks.

Thwack!

Just as Beck prepared to attack, a phantom-like tail whipped across his body, sending him flying to crash against the metal wall again.

"Armament Haki: Beast Killer Fist!!!"

Otto clenched his fist, the muscles on his right arm bulging high. Then, his entire arm turned pitch black, followed by a furious roar.

Boom!

A breath later, the black fist slammed out, a white air ring expanding as air currents instantly churned. This punch had broken the sound barrier!

"Damn it!"

Beck’s face drastically changed as he just reacted, sensing a deathly aura. Almost simultaneously, Beck’s entire body tensed, flashing with a faint glow. Then, the skin on his upper body seemed to burn from the inside out, first turning orange-red, then transforming into a metallic black luster.

Armament Haki: Tekkai - Black Steel!!!

Clang!

The thick black fist instantly slammed into Beck’s face, the immense force pinning him against the metal wall. The wall itself buckled and cracked under the unbearable power.

The next moment...

Rumble~

The thirty-centimeter-thick steel metal wall suddenly shattered. Beck was completely propelled into the brickwork behind it, more than half his body buried within, as the furious winds of impact kicked up large clouds of dust.

"The metal wall broke!!!"

The eyes of the many observing guards bulged.

Meanwhile, Fitch flashed forward, his entire body’s muscles surging as he continuously channeled power into his arms, then struck out with both fists.

Rokushiki Secret Technique: Gigantic King Axe!!!

The wind howled, and the churning air solidified, forming a white, transparent giant axe several meters long, seemingly enveloped in mist. It chopped directly down towards Enrod.

At this moment, Enrod’s face was indifferent. He suddenly gripped his sword with both hands, raising it high. Facing the incoming air axe, he showed no fear, directly slashing down with his blade.

"Secret Technique: Divine White Mane!!!"

A flash of white light erupted, instantly filling the entire corridor, causing everyone to instinctively close their eyes.

Zing~

A continuous clang of metal on metal echoed, and sparks shot forth in the void.

Hiss, hiss, hiss...

The white light dissipated, and dozens of shattered sword slashes shot out, striking the surrounding metal walls, leaving behind a series of cracks.

"Such incredible swordsmanship!"

Fitch stared blankly at Enrod.

Crack~

His white-faced sunflower mask cracked open, revealing a handsome face with short orange hair. A red line appeared down the middle of Fitch’s face. Without warning, Fitch’s entire body tore open, splitting into two halves and falling to either side.

Crack, crack, crack~

Then, the pristine white marble floor cracked and continuously extended outwards, forming a crack dozens of meters long, about two fingers wide, and deeply recessed...

"He’s been cut open!!!"

The guards’ eyes bulged again in shock.

"He’s not dead yet. Take him away for treatment," Galan said, looking at Beck, whose body was mostly buried in the brickwork, having sensed through Observation Haki that he was still alive.

...

In the central monitoring room, Aeridar nodded, a slight smile on his face. "Their strength has improved greatly these past two years."

"Looks like I came at the right time. I’ll have to spar with him again," Oliver said, watching Enrod on the screen with interest, a hint of battlelust in his eyes.

However, Dalt was practically jumping. "Those two! Couldn’t they have gone a little easier?! All-metal corridors are expensive, and repairing them is such a hassle!"

"This is truly unbelievable! I’ve long heard that some of the great pirates in the New World are as strong as monsters, even capable of sinking islands. I hadn’t seen it myself, but the power of these few is indeed monstrously strong. Is this even power a human can possess?!" Vade exclaimed in awe. He was, after all, merely a technical researcher. He had already been astonished by Aeridar’s strength, and now even his subordinates were so formidable, it was no wonder he was so amazed.

"Judging by their lip-reading earlier, they are indeed CP0. For them to infiltrate here, their objective is likely the SS Potion," Dalt mused, stroking his stubbled chin, his expression grave.

"Lip-reading! You know that skill too!" Oliver looked at Dalt in surprise.

"I just don’t know if they were instructed by the Celestial Dragons, or high-ranking officials within the World Government, or even the Five Elders," Aeridar furrowed his brow, finding it troublesome. He wondered if the World Government now knew the location of this place.

"Captain, it seems you’ll need to send more personnel for defense, and it’d be best to allocate more resources. I can also take this opportunity to renovate the underground palace in Triangle Mountain and turn it into a core base," Dalt suggested.

Hearing this, Aeridar’s eyes lit up, and he nodded. "Alright, I’ll have Arlan make the preparations."
