"Knock, knock..."
A knock sounded from outside the private room.
Before Dongfang Mei could speak, the door to the room opened.
Then, Jiang Yi walked in from outside.
Jiang Yi hadn't gone to a clothing store to buy anything; the clothes he was wearing were his usual attire.
"Let me introduce you, this is the Jiang Yi I told you about..." Dongfang Mei began to introduce him.
Upon hearing this, Liu Hong's beautiful eyes fell upon Jiang Yi, and she began to appraise him. It was as if she were admiring an object, only stopping short of stripping his clothes off to examine him closely.
"How is it?" Dongfang Mei asked.
"Not bad!"
Liu Hong nodded in satisfaction, "I'm very pleased."
"Since you're pleased, then this matter is settled. You can't go back on your word," Dongfang Mei said.
"Of course, I won't go back on my word. I'll return to the capital tomorrow to make preparations and await your good news," Liu Hong said with a smile.
"Mm!"
Dongfang Mei nodded.
Jiang Yi was completely bewildered, unsure what they were discussing.
He was standing right in front of them, yet they were conversing amongst themselves, completely ignoring him.
"Don't be so reserved, sit down. We'll be family from now on!" Liu Hong said to Jiang Yi with a benevolent expression.
Jiang Yi was once again bewildered.
He had no idea what Dongfang Mei was up to.
"I came in a hurry this time and didn't bring any gifts. Please accept this watch; consider it a meeting gift."
After speaking, Liu Hong opened a delicate box, took out the watch inside, and handed it to Jiang Yi, "Try it on, see if you like it."
Jiang Yi looked at the watch and couldn't help but freeze.
This watch was worth at least two to three million.
This gift was too valuable.
"If you don't accept it, I'll be unhappy!" Liu Hong said, a hint of anger in her voice.
"Thank you for your kindness, but I cannot accept it." Jiang Yi refused.
He didn't know this affluent lady at all.
He certainly couldn't accept anything from her.
Dongfang Mei appeared indifferent, drinking her red wine alone.
"Do you feel this gift is too inferior, that you look down on it?" Liu Hong asked directly, her face showing displeasure.
"No..." Jiang Yi started to explain.
"If you don't find it wanting, then accept it."
Liu Hong stared at Jiang Yi, her gaze filled with an unquestionable authority.
Jiang Yi had no choice but to accept.
Seeing Jiang Yi accept the watch, Liu Hong's face broke into a smile.
"I like you more and more; your character is excellent..."
Liu Hong praised Jiang Yi, nodding in approval.
Jiang Yi was utterly confused.
He also felt extremely uncomfortable.
"Auntie, what should I call you?" Jiang Yi asked.
"I'm Mei Mei's mother..."
Liu Hong smiled, "I heard she has someone she fancies, so I specifically came from the capital to meet you. Now that I've met you, I'm very pleased..."
Hearing this, Jiang Yi almost fell off his chair.
So it turned out she was Dongfang Mei's mother.

Liu Hong looked at Jiang Yi with a benevolent expression.

These mother and daughter were trying to force their way through.
"Auntie, you've misunderstood. Miss Dongfang and I can only be considered ordinary friends, or perhaps not even friends!"

Dongfang Mei, standing to the side, was drinking her red wine alone, as if this matter had nothing to do with her. She hadn't said a word.
"Auntie, I won't do something if I don't want to, and no one can force me! If you push me too hard, I might do things that even I wouldn't dare to imagine." Jiang Yi frowned.
Jiang Yi had made his point clear, hoping she would know when to stop.
Liu Hong suddenly started laughing.
"Auntie, I'm not joking. I never joke." Jiang Yi said calmly.
"Then I'll tell you, there's nothing our Dongfang family wants to do that we can't achieve."
Liu Hong wore a playful smile.
"I want you to be my son-in-law, and you won't escape. If you don't believe me, we'll see."
Jiang Yi was utterly speechless.
Dongfang Mei's mother was truly bizarre.
He had no idea what her true intentions were.
Logically speaking, for a powerful family like the Dongfang family, their standards would be extremely high. They shouldn't be interested in someone like him, who outwardly appeared to have no abilities.
Yet, strangely, Dongfang Mei's mother seemed to have set her sights on him.
She had made it clear that she wanted him as her son-in-law.
"I have a few more things to attend to, so I'll be going now!"
Liu Hong stood up from her chair and said to Jiang Yi with a smile, "If you have time, come to the capital with Mei Mei, and I'll introduce you to the Dongfang family members."
After speaking, Liu Hong turned to Dongfang Mei and said, "Take good care of yourself. Whatever you want to do, I will support you!"
"Thank you, Mom!"
Dongfang Mei smiled.
Liu Hong didn't say anything further and left the private room directly.
After Liu Hong left, Jiang Yi finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"It seems my mom really likes you!" Dongfang Mei said to Jiang Yi with a smile.
"What are the intentions of your Dongfang family?"
Jiang Yi looked at Dongfang Mei and asked.
"You're thinking too much. My mom simply likes you and wants you to be her son-in-law," Dongfang Mei said with a charming smile.
Jiang Yi took a deep breath.
It seemed he wouldn't be able to get anything out of Dongfang Mei.
Jiang Yi was certain that Liu Hong had a purpose in doing this.
The first time she looked at him, a hint of surprise flickered in her eyes. Although it was only for a moment, Jiang Yi saw it clearly.
"Within twenty days, help me find that assassin organization, or our transaction will end here, and we'll go our separate ways, never to cross paths again." Jiang Yi looked at Dongfang Mei.
Jiang Yi didn't want to delay this matter any longer.
If the time came and Dongfang Mei hadn't found the assassin organization, he would have to find a way himself.
