Chapter 341 The Net Closes

"It has nothing to do with what I become, and we shall never meet again," the second evil spirit said, turning abruptly and leaping off the cliff.

Mu Anxiao clicked her tongue, retracted her immortal book, and turned to look at the still glowing area, muttering, "You have your bricklaying bricks, I have my wall-demolishing hammer. Clever." With that, she transformed into a blue beam of light and rushed towards the past second evil spirit.

The second evil spirit landed at the bottom of the cliff, looked up, and smirked. "Still so arrogant using Shen Yan's magic. My things don't belong to me, and it seems everything on you doesn't belong to you either. What right do you have to judge me?" He then looked back at the group of red-eyed monsters staring at him and was suddenly stunned.

On the cliff, Mu Anxiao had already reached the past second evil spirit. "Hello."

"Who are you?" the past second evil spirit deliberately hid the magic artifact he had just stolen.

Mu Anxiao, her eyes fixed on the past second evil spirit, said, "Did you steal that magic artifact?"

Hearing Mu Anxiao's words, the past second evil spirit intentionally hid the artifact behind him and said, "No."

"No," Mu Anxiao said, nodding. "Alright, I'll believe you this time. Now, what I want to tell you is... in the future, only one person can help you. That person's name is... Mu Anxiao."

"Mu Anxiao?" the past second evil spirit repeated, looking Mu Anxiao up and down. "Why should I believe you?"

"You can choose not to believe me, but I want to say that many things are beyond your prediction. If something happens in the future, you must release the purple fire you have. That way," Mu Anxiao said, "I can help you."

"What about me?" the past evil spirit asked, pointing to himself excitedly.

Mu Anxiao didn't even glance at the evil spirit and turned to leave.

The past evil spirit pouted unhappily.

"I will never have such a fate," the past second evil spirit said, placing a hand over his chest. "But it's strange, ever since a moment ago, I've felt a dull ache in my heart. What do you think is going on?"

"Why don't I feel that way?" the past evil spirit asked, clutching his chest.

Seeing the past evil spirit's calm expression, the past second evil spirit said, "Could it be..." He pondered. "It's because my magic is stronger than yours. I subconsciously protected you, which made me feel uncomfortable."

The past evil spirit didn't like what the past second evil spirit said, but recalling the help the past second evil spirit had given him earlier, he forced himself to believe it.

"If that's the case, let's recuperate in these mountains for a while longer. When the time is right, we'll leave," the past evil spirit suggested.

The past second evil spirit felt a tightness in his chest. Looking at the past evil spirit's serious expression, he nodded. "That's fine. I'll listen to you then."

"Good," the past second evil spirit smiled.

At the foot of the cliff, the second evil spirit stared in astonishment at the red-eyed monsters slowly approaching him, and he slowly raised his hand, which emitted a faint purple light.

"Roar!" the monsters cried out in unison.

The second evil spirit quickly waved his hand emitting purple fire towards them.

Unexpectedly, the purple fire had no effect on the red-eyed monsters. Seeing this, the second evil spirit recoiled a few steps in terror, then his legs suddenly gave way, and he knelt on the ground.

"Roar!" the monsters cried out with increasing excitement. One of them shouted, "Evil spirit, I love the soul breath of evil spirits the most."

Hearing the voices of the red-eyed monsters in front of him, the second evil spirit's mind recalled Mu Anxiao's words: "Now, what I want to tell you is... in the future, only one person can help you. That person's name is... Mu Anxiao."

Hearing that voice, the second evil spirit quickly raised his hand above his head and shot a purple beam of light towards the cliff.

Mu Anxiao stood at the edge of the cliff, watching the purple beam of light pass before her eyes and shoot into the sky. She raised the corner of her mouth and transformed into a blue beam of light, swooping down.

At the foot of the cliff, the second evil spirit had completely lost his strength. He looked up at the red-eyed monsters approaching him and shouted, "What exactly are you?"

"They are Rotten Demons who hide at the foot of the cliff and are accustomed to waiting for rabbits."

Hearing this, the second evil spirit breathed a sigh of relief. He glanced at Mu Anxiao, who had landed steadily in front of him, and said, "You've come."

Mu Anxiao turned her face and said, "It seems you remember what I said."

The second evil spirit was startled. He looked at the red-eyed monster reaching out a black hand towards Mu Anxiao and shouted, "Be careful."

Mu Anxiao sighed and looked at her palm. "Little brat," she said, then waved her hand dryly towards the red-eyed monster.

The red-eyed monster lowered its attacking hand, tilted its head to the left, and before it could speak, a blue beam of light shot violently into its abdomen. The next second, it was lifted off the ground and sent flying backward.

Immediately after, Mu Anxiao slightly lowered her body, clenched her fists, and crossed her arms in front of her.

Having learned from the previous lesson, the red-eyed monsters all stopped in their tracks.

The second evil spirit swallowed hard, looking at Mu Anxiao's back.

Mu Anxiao narrowed her eyes and struck suddenly.

The red-eyed monsters, like the one that had just disappeared, wore an expression of disdain.

Mu Anxiao slightly raised the corner of her mouth and looked up at the dark night sky.

Subsequently, the red-eyed monsters raised their heads along with Mu Anxiao. The next second, as their eyes widened one by one, a large net was cast over them.

The red-eyed monsters began to let out terrified shrieks one after another.

The second evil spirit looked at the spectacular scene before him in amazement, swallowed hard, and looked at Mu Anxiao, his mouth half-open, unsure of what to say.

Mu Anxiao raised her hand above her head, pulled her palm back sharply, and turned to look at the second evil spirit. "It's all because of you, I broke my precept," she said. As she spoke, she pulled her hand, and the screams of the trapped red-eyed monsters gradually diminished, as did the net.

"How are you going to deal with them?" the second evil spirit asked, looking at the shrinking red-eyed monsters caught by Mu Anxiao.

"They shouldn't exist in this world," Mu Anxiao said, glancing at the second evil spirit. "Hide."

"Huh?" The second evil spirit looked confused.

"Quickly," Mu Anxiao urged, turning to face the white-robed underworld officials who were slowly emerging from the ground.

Seeing this, the second evil spirit quickly left one by one.

One of the white-robed underworld officials looked at Mu Anxiao and asked, "Who are you?"

"An unnamed rogue immortal, just passing through," Mu Anxiao replied, handing the red-eyed monsters bound in the net to the underworld official.

The white-robed underworld official took the net handed over by Mu Anxiao and said, "You are not from here. In other words, you are not human."
