Chapter 342 Returning the Artifact

"Quickly put the monsters inside into your magical artifact. This one is mine," Mu Anxiao said coldly.

"Who exactly are you?" the Yin Messenger in white stared with wide eyes.

"Is my identity that important to you?" Mu Anxiao narrowed her eyes slightly.

"Important," the Yin Messenger in white stated firmly.

"I am an injured rogue immortal. These monsters have driven me out of my body, and I am currently looking for my physical form. If you delay my return, then," Mu Anxiao said, "we will settle this later."

"You..."

"This is an era of peace, and this is your jurisdiction. I was seriously injured here, so it concerns you as well. If I report this," Mu Anxiao sighed softly, "your transgressions will not be minor."

Hearing Mu Anxiao's words, the Yin Messengers in white showed fear on their faces. Then, the one holding the monsters quickly put them back into his artifact, smiling sheepishly, "My mistake, my mistake." He then handed the net back to Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao took the net, took a deep breath of air that felt much fresher than before, and said, "Let's go."

"You don't want any reward?" the Yin Messenger in white asked in surprise.

"No," Mu Anxiao shook her head.

The Yin Messenger in white smiled faintly, cupped his hands, and said, "Farewell."

Mu Anxiao remained silent.

Then, the moment before they left, the Yin Messenger in white quickly turned back to Mu Anxiao and asked, "Two evil spirits just came here. Have you seen them?"

"No," Mu Anxiao shook her head.

The Yin Messenger in white didn't pry further, nodded, and departed.

After they left, the second evil spirit appeared behind Mu Anxiao and said, "So, you are like me?"

"What do you mean?" Mu Anxiao turned to look at the second evil spirit.

The second evil spirit chuckled heartily, "When I go back to the past, as soon as I speak, I am seen. You are the same."

"It seems so," Mu Anxiao replied casually.

"It's not 'seems so,' it's exactly like that."

Mu Anxiao, tired of bickering with the second evil spirit, spread her hands and conjured the Immortal Book again, saying, "Let's count. I've saved you twice, once as your present self and once as your past self. I don't ask for much. Tell me what I need to know."

"You really know how to keep score," the second evil spirit said helplessly.

"Since you know I keep score, let's begin," Mu Anxiao said, dabbing the tip of her brush onto the Immortal Book.

"My weakness..." the second evil spirit began, then paused, turning his head and muttering, "Why do I feel like I'm betraying myself?"

"Hurry up, I don't have much time," Mu Anxiao urged.

Thus, the second evil spirit cooperatively revealed all his information to Mu Anxiao, finally extending his hand and saying, "Bind me."

"So proactive," Mu Anxiao clenched her fist, conjuring a silver rope and binding the second evil spirit's hands. "Alright, let's go."

The second evil spirit nodded and left with Mu Anxiao.

In the ward, Zhang Yan checked Feng Feng's pulse and said, "He's stable." He then stood up and turned to look at Feng Qishi.

Feng Qishi looked down at Feng Feng's sleeping face and breathed a sigh of relief. Then, his gaze fell upon Mu Anxiao, who was lying on the sofa, and he said, "Why isn't she back yet?"

"It's still early," the wolf demon said from Mu Anxiao's feet.

At the very moment the wolf demon spoke, Mu Anxiao and the second evil spirit returned.

"You subdued this guy," Zhang Yan pointed at the second evil spirit and asked.

Mu Anxiao nodded and handed the rope to the wolf demon. "Next, it's time to settle your grievances."

The second evil spirit hadn't expected Mu Anxiao to have another trick up her sleeve. Immediately, his eyes widened as he said, "What do you mean by this?"

The wolf demon, with a sinister grin, reached out and took the silver rope, remaining silent.

"You deceived me, you used me. If I just accepted you like this, wouldn't that be letting myself down?" Mu Anxiao said. She walked over to her own body, bent down, and examined her face. "Still have time."

"I've already thought of a new plan. If it's possible, I..."

"I don't need you anymore," Mu Anxiao said. She turned, passing by Feng Qishi, and once again entered Feng Feng's body.

The second evil spirit's face turned grim.

The wolf demon looked at the second evil spirit with a sinister smile and said, "You deceived me, you used me, and gave me a... completely useless body. You are truly good to me," he bared his teeth.

"You can't cast spells," the second evil spirit said, his lips trembling.

"For you, of course, I have to break through my own limits." As he spoke, the wolf demon slowly raised his hand, which glowed with red light.

"What are you doing?"

After the second evil spirit's cry, the wolf demon struck his forehead with a palm. Following a purple light, the second evil spirit transformed into a child with a grimacing face. The wolf demon casually caught a purple artifact that looked like fire and handed it to Zhang Yan, "This is yours, isn't it?"

Zhang Yan stepped forward, took the artifact, and smiled, "I didn't expect to get a share."

"Yes," the wolf demon nodded. He then looked at the Yin Messenger in a suit who appeared amidst a circle of black mist and asked, "Do you like how this fellow looks now?"

"I like it," the Yin Messenger in a suit smiled and reached out to take the silver rope the wolf demon handed him.

"Remember to return it to this fellow," the wolf demon pointed at Mu Anxiao.

"I know," the Yin Messenger in a suit said. After finishing his sentence, he left with the second evil spirit.

A few minutes later, Zhang Yan took out his phone and was astonished by the amount displayed.

"What's wrong?" Feng Qishi asked, looking at Zhang Yan's shocked expression with confusion. He stepped forward and looked at the zeros on the phone screen, exclaiming, "My heavens, one hundred thousand yuan. Are you crazy?"

"Yes," Zhang Yan said in amazement.

"Mu the fool, truly a fool. She stumbles upon things like a blind cat finding a dead mouse," Feng Qishi sighed.

"Yes," Zhang Yan nodded again.

Feng Qishi swallowed and turned to look at Feng Feng's body.

Inside Feng Feng, Mu Anxiao, with a somber expression, looked at Feng Feng who was still squatting in the corner, dejected. Then, she turned and transformed into Feng Feng's appearance. "This should work," she thought. She gracefully walked up to Feng Feng and said, "You'll get sick if you continue like this."

Feng Feng remained silent.

Mu Anxiao continued, "I know you don't want to hear me speak, but seeing you like this, I really can't stand it any longer."

"...." Feng Feng showed no reaction.

Mu Anxiao narrowed her eyes, squatted down, and looked at Feng Feng, saying, "Feng Feng, I am you, and you are me. You want to die, but I want to live. You are being very selfish in this state." As she spoke, she reached out and placed her hands on Feng Feng's shoulders.

Immediately, Feng Feng's body trembled. He slowly raised his eyes to look at Mu Anxiao, who looked exactly like him, and asked, "Are you really me?"

Mu Anxiao nodded without hesitation.
