Chapter 735 The Seal on the Contract of Sale

Feng Qishi nodded, "Yours makes sense. People with power and influence here don't like others loitering outside their residences, or they'll be caught." As he spoke, he suddenly realized something and said, "Not good."

"What's wrong?" Piao asked.

"This might be a trap; they're trying to capture Mu Anxiao," Feng Qishi said excitedly.

Immediately, Piao's eyes darted, and he urged, "Let's go in and see."

"Let's go," Feng Qishi agreed, and he and Piao ran inside.

However, reality was the opposite of what Piao and Feng Qishi had imagined. Mu Anxiao was led to the reception hall by the old man.

"Hello," the man in his thirties said, sitting in a grand armchair, greeting Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao gave a dry laugh, "Hello."

"My butler has explained everything to you, right?" the man in his thirties said.

Mu Anxiao glanced at the old man and asked, "You want me to look after your daughter?"

"Yes, if you're unwilling," the man in his thirties said with a smile, "then it's nothing."

"I knew you'd be like this," Mu Anxiao said, completely disregarding the occasion.

Hearing this, the man in his thirties stood up and walked in front of Mu Anxiao, saying, "Here, you must obey me. If you don't, don't blame me for sending you to a place you don't want to go."

"What are you talking about?" Mu Anxiao frowned.

"I thought you looked familiar just now, and when my servant reported, I finally remembered who you are," the man in his thirties pointed at Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao was stunned, "You really know me?"

Feng Qishi and Piao both frowned.

"Not only do I know you, but we've even interacted before. It's just," the man in his thirties sneered, "you nobles are forgetful."

"You..."

"Father."

Hearing the voice, Mu Anxiao's body stiffened. She quickly turned to look at the girl walking gracefully towards them.

Feng Qishi lowered his eyes, looking at the girl passing by him, then at her father whose face was filled with malice. "I have a bad feeling."

"Her father is going to hit her," Piao said.

Feng Qishi was surprised, "How do you know?"

"If you don't believe me, watch," Piao pointed towards the girl.

The Rabbit Queen clenched her fist the moment she heard Piao's words.

Then, the girl walked in front of the man in his thirties.

The man's face instantly turned cold. He looked down at the girl and said sternly, "Kneel."

The girl's body trembled, and she immediately knelt on the ground.

"Do you know what mistake you've made?" the man in his thirties asked.

The girl's voice trembled, "Outsiders are not allowed to pass by that residence."

Upon hearing this, Mu Anxiao quickly said, "I asked her to guide me. If you want to punish someone, punish me."

Hearing this, the man in his thirties looked up at Mu Anxiao, "I'll deal with you later."

Piao listened to the man's tone when he spoke to Mu Anxiao and clenched his fist even tighter.

Mu Anxiao was speechless.

The man refocused his gaze on the girl's face, "Stand up."

"Yes, Father," the girl trembled and stood up.

Then, the man suddenly raised his hand and slapped the girl across the face, sending her tumbling to the ground.

Mu Anxiao was shocked and roared, "Is this your punishment for her?"

"Next is you," the man said, walking towards Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao frowned tightly. As the man raised his hand, she asked, "Who exactly are you?"

"Back then," the man lowered his hand, "you tried to kill me in that brothel but failed, and I beat you soundly. Do you remember?"

Hearing the man's reminder, Mu Anxiao lowered her head, recalling what happened after her first meeting with Shen Yan. Then, she slowly raised her face, looked at the unfamiliar face before her, and asked, "Are you Fatty?"

"It's been almost ten years, and you haven't changed at all," the man in his thirties leaned down and clasped Mu Anxiao's shoulder, "Mu Anxiao."

"You... you know I'm a woman?" Mu Anxiao asked in shock.

The man in his thirties curved his lips, "I didn't know initially, but just now, for some reason, I felt it was you. So, when I entered the residence, I told those two servants to listen carefully. Who knew," he moved to the girl's side and kicked her leg hard, "that you actually know my daughter."

"You..." Mu Anxiao swallowed. "When I left back then, I gave you money. How dare you..."

Before she could finish, the man in his thirties suddenly took a worn piece of paper from a subordinate and unfolded it before Mu Anxiao's eyes, "Beggars, thirty years, deed of sale."

Hearing this, Mu Anxiao stepped forward and peered at the text on the deed of sale, then at the blood fingerprint she had left. She exclaimed, "How could this be?"

"I've been merciful enough to you. Do you know the fate of those who passed by my residence?" the man in his thirties lowered his hand and met Mu Anxiao's eyes.

Mu Anxiao averted her gaze, "I don't know." Her voice began to tremble.

"Either one leg is broken, or both. If you don't obey, I will definitely let you know what pain is," the man in his thirties patted Mu Anxiao's shoulder.

Mu Anxiao froze.

Feng Qishi looked at the man's face and narrowed his eyes, "It's him."

"You recognize him?" Piao asked coldly.

Hearing this, Feng Qishi replied, "No."

"Then, are you him?" Piao asked again.

Feng Qishi stared fixedly at the man in his thirties, "I just thought he looked familiar, I said it casually."

"I knew you wouldn't possibly recognize him," Piao said indifferently.

Feng Qishi glanced at Piao and said nothing.

The man in his thirties looked at Mu Anxiao's reaction and smiled, "It's been a long time since I've seen you like this. To be honest, I still think men's clothing suits you better."

Hearing the man's words, Mu Anxiao couldn't help but recall the past, especially the days when he bullied her while she was begging. She felt distressed, clenched her fists, and said, "That deed of sale was signed under duress; it's invalid."

"Valid or not, I've kept it," the man in his thirties grinned wickedly at Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao blinked slightly, then forced herself to bravely meet the man's eyes, "You're truly so boring."

"I have kept the deeds of sale for all those who escaped. I won't let any of them off if they return," the man in his thirties deliberately leaned closer to Mu Anxiao's face.

Mu Anxiao frowned tightly.

Feng Qishi looked at the distance between the man and Mu Anxiao, also filled with indignation, "Piao, what are you waiting for? She's being bullied."

"I know," Piao said, a smirk on his lips as he pointed a finger at the man's forehead, "I doubt that guy has ever experienced being struck by lightning."
