Chapter 733 The Old Butler

The Rabbit Queen asked, "Can you accurately say that you won't change your mind?"

Yan paused, then shook her head slightly, "No."

"Then that's right," the Rabbit Queen said mildly.

Yan was speechless.

"Mu Shazi," Feng Qishi suddenly called out.

Mu Anxiao frowned slightly and looked at Feng Qishi, asking, "What do you want me for?"

"You doing this..." Feng Qishi deliberately glanced at the Rabbit Queen and the others, and continued, "is not right. To be precise, I think you shouldn't see that child anymore."

"Why?" Yan asked.

Feng Qishi glanced at Yan, then back at Mu Anxiao, "By doing this, you will disrupt everything here, so I don't mind you doing it."

Mu Anxiao hadn't thought that far, but hearing Feng Qishi say this, she thought deeper and agreed, "You're right, I don't have the right to change things here."

"But you have already interacted with the child," the Rabbit Queen said.

Mu Anxiao looked at the Rabbit Queen, "Tomorrow, if I don't come, she will forget me."

"Didn't you just tell her not to help that child? Why the sudden change of heart?" Feng Qishi asked.

The Rabbit Queen lowered her eyelids, "I told her not to help the child find her mother, but now I'm changing my mind..." She looked up at Mu Anxiao, "It's just that I don't want you to deceive the child. Even if you meet her, pretend to search, and let the child know that you tried your best, rather than lying to her."

"You're right," Mu Anxiao nodded slightly, "We cannot lie to a child. Since we've promised something, whether we can fulfill it or not is another matter, but at least we must keep our word, right?"

The Rabbit Queen nodded.

Piao looked at Mu Anxiao and the Rabbit Queen cooperating so well and said, "I didn't expect you two to get along so well." As he spoke, he took out a handkerchief from his sleeve and handed it to Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao looked down at the handkerchief Piao suddenly offered, confused, and asked, "What are you doing?"

"You have blood on your mouth, wipe it," Piao said.

Mu Anxiao heard this, took the handkerchief obediently, and casually wiped the bloodstains from her mouth, saying, "Thanks."

"No need to be polite with me," Piao smiled.

Mu Anxiao gave a dry laugh, turned to look at the gate of the mansion, and sighed.

Feng Qishi said, "Just treat yourself as a bystander, and absolutely do not change anything else."

"I know," Mu Anxiao glared at Feng Qishi, "You're so nagging."

Feng Qishi said nothing.

Yan asked, "My parents didn't appear at this time, did they?"

Feng Qishi looked around and said, "This is her era, likely still some years before yours."

"Oh." Yan was disappointed.

Mu Anxiao glanced at Yan and thought, it's better not to go and see them.

"Where are we going in a moment?" Piao asked.

Mu Anxiao said, "You don't need to worry about the issue of this residence, I should be the one most worried about it." As she spoke, she put a hand on her hip and looked around.

Following that, an old person came out from the mansion.

"Miss."

Hearing this, Mu Anxiao was startled, turned her head to look at the old person, pointed at herself and asked, "Are you calling me?"

"Yes, our master said to let you in," the old person said.

"How did your master know I didn't leave?" Mu Anxiao asked.

"The gatekeeper told the master, and the master said to let you in," the old person explained.

Mu Anxiao frowned, peered at the empty gate, and asked, "That's strange, there's no one here?"

"Our servants usually stand inside the gate, they saw you through the crack," the old person said patiently.

Mu Anxiao's face darkened upon hearing this.

"They must have seen you talking to that child," Feng Qishi walked up to Mu Anxiao and said.

Mu Anxiao asked, "What should we do?"

"Hey? Miss, are you talking to me?" the old person asked, looking at Mu Anxiao with a confused expression.

Mu Anxiao came back to her senses, smiled at the old person, and said, "No, I was talking to myself."

"I see," the old person smiled, gestured to the mansion, "Please, come in."

"I don't think I will," Mu Anxiao deliberately took half a step back.

The old person looked distressed, "Miss, my master said that if you don't come, he will beat me to death. Please don't make it difficult for this old person."

"Your master wouldn't be so violent, you're trying to scare me," Mu Anxiao said, looking uncomfortably at the old person's expression.

The old person smiled, "There is a bit of exaggeration in that statement, but my master will indeed drive me out. Then, I will have to beg on the streets. Won't my old bones still be scattered?"

Hearing this, Mu Anxiao gave a bitter smile, "What do you do here?"

"Oh, I am the butler here," the old person accidentally let slip.

"Butler," Mu Anxiao repeated, and smiled, "Then what you said is incorrect. Looking at your age, you must have worked here for most of your life, right?"

"Yes." The old person's tone became unnatural.

"If that's the case, your master must have trusted you a lot," Mu Anxiao said.

The old person chuckled foolishly, led on by Mu Anxiao, "Miss, I didn't expect you to be so clever."

"I'm not as clever as you are. Since that's the case, I'll be going now," Mu Anxiao said, deliberately avoiding any connection with the master of this mansion.

Feng Qishi next to her said, "Well done."

Mu Anxiao glanced at Feng Qishi and said nothing.

Seeing Mu Anxiao's resolute stance, the old person's face immediately fell, "Miss, you've been trying to trick this old person all this time!" As he spoke, he bent down and patted his legs exaggeratedly.

Mu Anxiao looked at the old person's demeanor with surprise, then looked at Feng Qishi and asked, "What's going on?"

"I don't know," Feng Qishi shook his head.

The Rabbit Queen stepped forward and said, "He is deliberately forcing you."

"How do you know?" Mu Anxiao turned to the Rabbit Queen as the old person started crying dryly and asked.

"He used this same tactic to persuade the child's mother to leave back then," the Rabbit Queen said, staring at the old person's head.

Hearing the Rabbit Queen's words, Mu Anxiao began to see the old person, who was pretending to be pitiful, in a different light.

"What do you want to do?" Feng Qishi asked, looking at Mu Anxiao, who had turned to look at the old person.

Mu Anxiao ignored Feng Qishi and instead let out a mournful wail, "Ah, what have I done wrong? Ahhh."

Listening to Mu Anxiao's even more exaggerated fake wailing than the old person's, they all swallowed hard.

The old person was startled and looked up at Mu Anxiao, asking, "Miss, what are you doing?"

"I'm crying out for you," Mu Anxiao said, looking at the old person with a parched mouth.
