Seeing someone arrive from the back to the front, Di Jianhan gaped and grumbled, "My clothes are cut open, why don't you give me acupuncture to relieve the pain?"
Silently counting the time, Jiang Ziyu said, "Uncle, you can stand up now."
"Are you kidding me? I'm in so much pain, do you want to kill me?" Di Jianhan spoke while moving his arm, already noticing he was standing.
Taking a step forward, he belatedly reacted. Di Jianhan looked at Jiang Ziyu in surprise, then turned to look at the exposed needle tips on the side.
"When did you insert them?"
"The flying needle technique makes the recipient unable to feel it," Jiang Ziyu explained.
Seeing that he no longer cried out in pain as he walked, Di Mingjue immediately helped him onto the sofa.
The silver needle only provided temporary relief. As soon as Di Jianhan lay on the sofa, Jiang Ziyu quickly removed the needles from his skin.
Without the needles to block it, the pain immediately returned.
Di Jianhan grimaced in pain, reaching out to grab at the air, "Don't take them out! Ow, it's hurting again."
Seeing how reliant he was on Jiang Ziyu's silver needles, Lu Sisi, afraid he would be charmed too, immediately moved forward and hugged Di Jianhan's arm, "Uncle, I've already called the doctor, they'll be here soon."
The pain made Di Jianhan's mind hazy. He shook off Lu Sisi's hand, continuously begging for the silver needles in Jiang Ziyu's hand.
"Can you insert them again?" Di Mingjue asked.
Jiang Ziyu shook her head, "Acupuncture for pain relief is only temporary. Prolonged use can damage the nerves and potentially cause paralysis of the lower body."
Di Jianhan heard the danger, but compared to the one-in-ten-thousand chance of it happening, he preferred to block out the current pain.
Lu Sisi stepped forward again, sacrificing herself by placing her palm in Di Jianhan's hand, "If it hurts, just grip my hand tightly. Releasing your strength can take away some of the pain."
Only wanting to alleviate the pain, Di Jianhan grabbed Lu Sisi's hand and brought it to his mouth, biting down hard.
Moving too quickly, Lu Sisi looked at his contorted face and felt the pain from her palm. Frowning, she endured the pain with utmost seriousness to avoid disturbing Di Jianhan.
"Let go, something will happen!" Jiang Ziyu stepped forward to persuade him.
His teeth clamped down like a semi-sharp knife. Di Jianhan was so consumed by pain that he could no longer distinguish reality from fantasy. Biting down like this would sever her fingers.
Lu Sisi did not accept her good intentions, rejecting her words as if she were an enemy, "It's... it's okay, you don't need to worry about me."
Speaking with difficulty, a bead of sweat fell from her forehead onto her arm.
Obvious bloodstains flowed from the corner of Di Jianhan's lips, mixing with saliva to form bloody water.
Sensing Lu Sisi's apprehension, but knowing something would happen, Jiang Ziyu couldn't just stand by and do nothing. She took out a silver needle and, controlling her strength, inserted it again.
The pain immediately lessened, with a faint tingling sensation in the tailbone area, not as strong a relief as the first time.
Di Jianhan, unsatisfied, demanded, "It still hurts a bit, not as effective as before."
Hearing this, Jiang Ziyu silently looked at Di Mingjue.
"It's good that it's eased. Rest quietly for a while," Di Mingjue interjected unexpectedly.
Di Jianhan grunted and rested his chin on a cushion, calling for Lu Sisi to bring him water.
After drinking a few sips of water, the ambulance stopped at the door. Led by a servant, the doctor entered with a stretcher.
"I'm not going to the hospital, I'll be treated at home," Di Jianhan said as the stretcher was brought before him.
