Alone?
Wouldn't that be a world for just the two of them?
Kicking her legs up, she escaped from the covers.
"Keep it down!" Jiang Ziyu patted him, reminding him that the children were behind them.
Di Mingjue heeded her warning, carefully putting on his shoes and entering the bathroom with the clothes Jiang Ziyu had prepared for him.
Through the glass door, Jiang Ziyu didn't hear a single sound of him washing up. Her mind suddenly conjured his furtive appearance, and she couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle.
While he was washing up, Jiang Ziyu wrote a note and placed it on the bedside table, preventing the children from worrying if they woke up and couldn't find them.
...
"A world for just the two of us is truly comfortable!"
Di Mingjue held Jiang Ziyu's waist, like a newlywed couple, sweet as honey in a candy jar, making anyone who saw them feel like their teeth were about to fall out from the sweetness.
Tilting her head up, Jiang Ziyu teased, "The children will be sad if they hear that."
Their beloved daddy was actually complaining about their existence behind their backs!
Di Mingjue, however, seemed unbothered, tightening his embrace. "If they're sad, then it's me. She's my wife, and yet they occupy her time all day long."
"Tsk tsk~" Jiang Ziyu pouted and gave him an annoyed glance. "Why are you acting like a child, you big kid!"
"I'm only a big kid when I'm with you!" Di Mingjue said, chuckling as he scratched Jiang Ziyu's back.
Bantering with each other, they arrived at the hotel's downstairs restaurant, where quite a few guests were already enjoying their breakfast.
Di Mingjue led Jiang Ziyu to a window seat, pulling out a chair for her like a princess. "Wait here, I'll go get breakfast."
The restaurant downstairs was a buffet, with all sorts of food laid out for guests to choose according to their taste.
Watching Di Mingjue walk towards the food, Jiang Ziyu lazily looked out the window.
The scenery was truly beautiful!
In the early morning, one could see the azure sky and the boundless sea. People were already walking and playing on the beach, everyone free and unburdened by worries.
"Hi!"
A greeting pulled Jiang Ziyu's thoughts back.
Gu Xiuyu sat opposite Jiang Ziyu without invitation. "Alone?"
"No, my husband is choosing food." Jiang Ziyu pointed to her front left.
As if sensing her, Di Mingjue put down his fork and turned his head to look behind him.
His wife was truly like a flower, attracting all sorts of bees, known or unknown, wanting a taste.
Carrying his plate, Di Mingjue walked to the dining table, exuding a possessive aura.
"A friend?"
Gu Xiuyu looked up, and in the clash of their gazes, he felt the deterrence emanating from Di Mingjue.
"Sort of?" Gu Xiuyu looked at Jiang Ziyu, leaving the question to her.
Did they count as friends?
Considering their interactions, they could only be considered acquaintances.
Di Mingjue saw Jiang Ziyu's predicament and possessively defended her, "The guy who hit on you? The one on the beach?"
He had felt a sense of familiarity the first time he saw him, as if he had seen him somewhere before. Looking closely, he realized it was the same person from the beach yesterday afternoon.
Gu Xiuyu raised an eyebrow and scanned Di Mingjue up and down, his gaze finally settling on Jiang Ziyu. "So you really do have a husband. I thought yesterday you weren't feeling well yourself."
"Medicine?" Di Mingjue raised his voice, clearly unaware of this matter. He narrowed his eyes, waiting for Jiang Ziyu to give him an answer.
As if sensing a rift between the two, Gu Xiuyu deliberately said, "You didn't know? I went to the pharmacy with her yesterday. You too, how can you feel at ease letting her come out alone in such a chaotic foreign country. That's too inconsiderate!"
Before he could even figure out what was going on, he was inexplicably lectured. Di Mingjue pulled out the adjacent stool, rested one hand on the table, and stared at Gu Xiuyu with a face full of anger.
"Indeed, it's inconsiderate to let someone set their sights on my wife. It seems I have to keep a closer eye on wherever she goes, lest someone takes the opportunity to get close."
