Chapter 480 Possessiveness and Love

Di Mingjue glanced at Gu Xiuyu, took the breakfast from the plate, and pushed it in front of Jiang Ziyu. "Do you want to have some together?"

"Sure." Gu Xiuyu accepted generously.

His response surprised Di Mingjue; he hadn't expected to encounter a formidable rival.

He took out all the food from the plates, handed one of the two pairs of chopsticks to Jiang Ziyu, and held the other himself. "Oh dear, it seems we don't have enough chopsticks."

Gu Xiuyu beckoned to a passing waiter. "Excuse me, could you bring another set of chopsticks and bowls for our table, and also some more of this morning's most popular dishes?"

The server, not daring to slight the hotel guests, nodded in agreement.

After the server left, he propped his chin on his hand, gazing at Jiang Ziyu with infatuation.

His direct gaze felt like a thorn pricking Di Mingjue's eyes, and his displeased heart was determined to drive the man away from Jiang Ziyu's side.

The server returned with the chopsticks, bowls, and food, arranging them on the table.

"I've been here for a week, and this is the first time someone has joined me for breakfast," Gu Xiuyu said, casually picking up his chopsticks and eating the food in front of him.

He tasted a piece of toast and found it good, pushing it towards Jiang Ziyu. "It tastes good, try it?"

Di Mingjue sat to the side, while Gu Xiuyu faced Jiang Ziyu. Anyone unaware would think he was an unwelcome third party!

Piercing a piece of bread with his fork, Di Mingjue put the entire piece into his mouth. After chewing twice, he swallowed it towards Gu Xiuyu with childish glee, "It is quite delicious. The children would probably like it too."

"Cough!" Gu Xiuyu almost choked on his food. He looked back and forth between the two of them. "Children?"

She didn't look like someone who had given birth!

Di Mingjue pulled out his phone and displayed the screen. "These are our children. By seniority, you should call me uncle."

The lock screen wallpaper was a family photo of the five of them.

Gu Xiuyu couldn't believe that Jiang Ziyu had given birth to three children so quickly, and that they were already quite grown.

"Second marriage?"

Di Mingjue's expression turned instantly cold. He retorted defensively, "Do we look like we're in a second marriage?"

From beginning to end, their existence had only been with each other.

Gu Xiuyu's mind processed the information, still unwilling to believe it. "Are they really your biological children?"

"Do you need me to get a hospital report for you to see the results?" Di Mingjue said irritably. "Sir, please temper yourself. The lady in front of you is my wife, and she has nothing to do with you. Don't you think your current remarks are very offensive?"

He threw his chopsticks onto the table, no longer bothering to maintain even a pretense of good manners.

Fearing they might argue, Jiang Ziyu moved her chair and stood up. "Mingjue, the children should be waking up."

"You go up first. I'll speak with Mr. Gu a bit longer," Di Mingjue said, stroking the back of Jiang Ziyu's hand and urging her to go upstairs.

She looked back with concern and instructed, "Be polite, don't be impulsive."

"Don't worry." Di Mingjue released Jiang Ziyu's hand and turned to look at Gu Xiuyu.

The surrounding bustle was irrelevant to them. Gu Xiuyu, imitating him, lounged back in his chair.

"To put it briefly, I hope you stay away from my wife. Your presence makes me extremely displeased, and my patience is limited!"

"That's possessiveness, not love."

Possessiveness?

Di Mingjue felt like laughing.

They were here for a honeymoon, not to give a third party any opportunities.

"It seems you've never truly loved someone. Her appearance might have been a fleeting glimpse, but she is not your destined partner. When you find yourself with the same possessiveness I have now, then you can talk about love." He took out some bills from his pocket and placed them on the table. "Let me treat you to this meal."
