Chapter 438 Like Wolves and Tigers

"Acupuncture?" the old lady asked, a wave of fear washing over her as she looked at the silver needles, each longer than her finger.

Jiang Ziyu moved the acupuncture kit away from her, preventing the old lady from feeling scared by the sight of the needles, from thin to thick.

"It will be quick, not long," she reassured, reaching out to lift the old lady's hair.

After needling her head, she also needled the back of her hand. Feeling the presence of the silver needles, the old lady lay still on the bed.

Di Jianhan watched from the side, unable to help but question, "Is it effective?"

"We'll see the results later," Jiang Ziyu replied.

Acupuncture sessions should not be too long. After fifteen minutes, Jiang Ziyu removed all the needles from the old lady's head. Ten minutes later, she removed the ones from her hand.

After putting away the needles, she picked up the medical flashlight again and examined the old lady's eyes.

"Grandma, how are you feeling now? Is it any better than before?" Jiang Ziyu asked again.

Her eyes looked much better, but it was still important to hear the old lady's own feelings.

The old lady moved her stiff body, her expression relaxing, "Mmm, I feel much more comfortable."

"Then it seems the acupuncture is beneficial for your body," Jiang Ziyu said. "I will give you acupuncture daily at a fixed time during this period, and your diet should also be light."

"I'll do as you say," the old lady said, completely trusting Jiang Ziyu's abilities.

After leaving the old lady's room, Di Mingjue held Jiang Ziyu's hand, "You've worked hard, my wife."

Di Jianhan stood behind them, his voice at just the right volume for him to hear.

He snorted coldly, filled with resentment, and brushed past them.

Jiang Ziyu was bumped aside, and she looked at Di Jianhan's apparent anger, unable to help but lower her head and smile.

Ever since Lu Sisi left, Di Jianhan had felt like an outsider in this home. The children were wary of him, and the old lady was bedridden. Aside from the servants, no one paid him much attention.

Thinking about it now, he was rather pitiable. He wanted to drive her away but feared Di Mingjue.

Seeing Jiang Ziyu laughing happily, Di Mingjue tightened his grip on her waist and pulled her closer, "What are you laughing at?"

"Will Uncle develop internal injuries?" Jiang Ziyu asked innocently.

Di Mingjue frowned and pondered, holding her waist playfully, "The person who tied the knot must untie it. He has internal injuries, and you have acupuncture, so there's nothing to fear."

With that, he pushed open the door and led Jiang Ziyu back to the bedroom.

Both were panting. Jiang Ziyu lay on the bed, looking at Di Mingjue's enlarged face before her.

"It's daytime, and the children are waiting for us to take them to the amusement park," Jiang Ziyu said, propping herself up on her elbows, trying to get off the bed.

Di Mingjue, like a hungry beast, lunged down and pounced on Jiang Ziyu. Facing his desire, he wasted no time.

Feeling a tingling sensation on her neck, Jiang Ziyu pushed him hard, "Stop playing around, the door isn't locked."

What she feared, happened.

As soon as the words left her mouth, the three children opened the door and stood at the threshold, looking at the scene on the bed in shock.

"The children are really here!" Jiang Ziyu, in her haste, kicked Di Mingjue in the groin.

Fortunately, he reacted quickly and rolled off her; otherwise, he would have been unable to fulfill his masculine duties ever again.

"You!" Di Mingjue stared at Jiang Ziyu's still-raised knee, looking at her with helplessness and a headache, "Aren't you afraid you won't feel happiness in the future?"

Jiang Ziyu's cheeks flushed, she grabbed a pillow and threw it at him, then fled the bed in a hurry.

Coming to the children, Jiang Ziyu pretended to be calm and said to them, "Go get ready, we're going to the amusement park shortly."

The three children snapped out of their daze, giggling as they recounted what they had just witnessed, "Daddy and Mommy are shy!"
