"Nothing, just asking." Jiang Ziyu’s gaze shifted behind him, "Where's Qianqian?"
At that moment, Qianqian was playing a game in the office with Shen Lin. Although Shen Lin was still a young man without a girlfriend, he was excellent at entertaining children.
Di Mingjue grabbed her hand, which was dangling in the air, "Don't try to change the subject."
Forced to return, she was spun around and stopped in front of Di Mingjue.
They stared at each other, Di Mingjue growing impatient as Jiang Ziyu remained silent.
"Not talking?" His voice rose, his hand stroking upwards from her arm.
Aware of his actions, Jiang Ziyu quickly jumped away, "Believe it or not."
Some things were better known by fewer people.
Seeing Di Mingjue glaring at her, Jiang Ziyu decided to leave first.
She reached the office door, the heavy door unable to block the pleasant sounds from within.
Jiang Ziyu pushed the door open to see Shen Lin holding Qianqian high above his head, swinging her hands playfully.
"Madam," Shen Lin greeted her breathlessly.
Jiang Ziyu nodded, looking at Qianqian, who was genuinely happy. She walked over and wiped the sweat from Qianqian's forehead, "Want to come down? Uncle Shen is tired too."
"Madam, I'm fine," Shen Lin said, his arm moving with Qianqian's.
Seeing that neither of them wanted to rest, Jiang Ziyu gave up, "Alright."
As soon as she sat on the sofa, Di Mingjue walked in from outside, his face dark.
His gaze fixed on Jiang Ziyu, but she pretended not to see him, her head bowed as she fiddled with her phone.
Di Mingjue sidestepped the laughing and playing duo, circled around, and came to Jiang Ziyu's side, "What are you looking at?"
Tilting her head, Jiang Ziyu turned her phone inward, the screen facing her lap.
Not only the content of the screen but even the screen's light was hidden.
Taking a deep breath, Di Mingjue suppressed his temper and asked gently, "I'll take you out to dinner later, what do you want to eat?"
Jiang Ziyu was preoccupied with how to trick Di Ruihe. After much thought, she replied perfunctorily, "Whatever. You pick what Qianqian wants."
Whatever! Nothing!
She was truly challenging his temper, unknowingly, from above his head!
Di Mingjue turned to look at Qianqian. His temper, which had been rising, immediately adjusted upon seeing Qianqian's happy expression.
Turning back, he asked again, "And you?"
"Me?" Jiang Ziyu blinked. "Whatever."
The moment of volcanic eruption, it was Di Mingjue at this instant. He yelled furiously, "Is there a restaurant called 'Whatever'? Or a dish called 'Whatever'?"
After his roar, Qianqian and Shen Lin looked at him helplessly, like two children who had done something wrong.
Hearing the roar, Jiang Ziyu finally came to her senses. What had they just said?
But even if it was "whatever," why should he be so angry?
She looked at the puffing Di Mingjue with a bewildered expression.
"Forget it, let's go eat." Di Mingjue, bewildered by her wronged look, found even his anger to be his problem.
The four of them came downstairs. Qianqian sat in Di Mingjue's arms, occasionally turning to observe his expression.
Because of Jiang Ziyu's perfunctory attitude, they casually chose a restaurant near the company.
Coincidentally, as soon as they sat down, they saw Di Ruihe, who was also dining at the same restaurant.
"I wasn't sure when I was outside, but when I got closer, I realized it really is my cousin." Di Ruihe looked at their empty seats, "Is it convenient to join you?"
Before Di Mingjue could respond, Jiang Ziyu warmly invited, "Sure."
Di Ruihe smiled in response and bent down to sit.
Just then, a waiter brought the menus.
Di Ruihe was closer to the outside, so when the waiter handed him the menu, he naturally took it.
