Chapter 278 The Unsigned Document

"I bought breakfast for everyone, so please eat a bit before starting work," Di Ruihe said. Behind him, his assistant carried two large bags of breakfast and placed them on the office desks nearby.

Di Ruihe had been preparing breakfast for everyone these past few days. Initially, the employees were reserved, but after a few times, everyone relaxed.

Some of the managers took the lead, thanking Di Ruihe and then stepping forward to collect their breakfast.

While they were eating and chatting, Di Ruihe inquired with a manager about ongoing projects.

He learned that several project proposals had not yet been reviewed or signed by Di Mingjue, which sparked an idea in his mind.

"Where are the proposals?" Di Ruihe asked casually.

The manager, with his mouth full of the last bite of a sandwich, his cheeks bulging and chewing with effort, mumbled unintelligibly.

Di Ruihe picked up his coffee and offered it to him.

The manager naturally took it and swallowed the food in his mouth. He then pointed towards the office, "They're on the desk. President Di hasn't arrived yet; we'll have someone deliver them later."

"Give them to me," Di Ruihe said.

The dazed manager instantly came to his senses. He looked at Di Ruihe and smiled, "That might not be appropriate. Documents requiring signatures need President Di's personal signature; no one else can sign on his behalf."

His words clearly conveyed a sense of disdain.

Di Ruihe held no official position in the company, and his rank was not much higher than the manager before him. He even had less authority than Shen Lin, who was by Di Mingjue's side.

This lack of respect in the company made him uncomfortable, but no one would openly display their contempt for him. After all, he was still a member of the Di family, and a few words from him could determine whether they could keep their jobs.

Di Ruihe placed his arm on the manager's shoulder and smiled, explaining, "You misunderstood. I meant I'm heading to President Di's office shortly, so I can take them with me."

The manager was about to refuse, but with Di Ruihe's arm on his shoulder, the refusal words got stuck in his throat.

"Alright," he was forced to nod.

Taking the documents from the common office, Di Ruihe changed his destination and returned to his own office.

Looking at the files in his hands, he sat at his desk and carefully browsed through them.

"Cannot sign on his behalf?"

Di Ruihe picked up a pen from the side, uncapped it, and elegantly signed his name in the designated signature area.

As he was signing the last document, a commotion erupted outside the office.

"Madam, absolutely not!"

"I am his wife, why can't I enter?"

Wu Xuerou, seeing the assistant at the door blocking her, grew more suspicious that another woman was hidden in the office.

The assistant physically blocked the doorway. No matter how Wu Xuerou scratched or grabbed him, he resolutely stood in her way.

Unable to enter and see the person, Wu Xuerou became furious. She raised her hand and slapped the assistant across the face.

Half of his head buzzed, and the assistant was stunned by the blow.

Taking advantage of his momentary lapse, Wu Xuerou shoved him aside and kicked the door open. She huffed, ready to fight, but found only Di Ruihe inside.

If no one else was in the room, why would a mere assistant risk his life to stop her?

Wu Xuerou searched the office thoroughly, as if she wanted to dig three feet into the ground to find that vixen.

"What are you doing?" Di Ruihe asked unexpectedly.

With smoke rising, Wu Xuerou ignored him, continuing to search the places where someone could hide.

The assistant stood at the doorway, unsure of what to do.

"Close the door," Di Ruihe commanded.

Once the door was closed, he felt a sense of relief. The assistant immediately reached out and closed the door from the outside.

Seeing Wu Xuerou still frantically searching, Di Ruihe impatiently grabbed her, "What exactly are you looking for!"
