Chapter 279 Informing Them of the Situation

"What I'm looking for, you should know," Wu Xuerou questioned distantly.

Di Ruihe cursed under his breath, "Crazy!"

Though spoken softly, Wu Xuerou heard him clearly.

Now that he was cursing her, she wouldn't believe anyone if they said no one did it behind her back.

Flailing her arms, her sharp nails extended towards Di Ruihe's face at lightning speed. With a fierce dig, Wu Xuerou shrieked, "You cursed me for a woman outside? You're utterly heartless!"

Her words left Di Ruihe bewildered. What woman? What heartless?

Seeing the tear streaks on her face and her extreme distress, Di Ruihe firmly grabbed her arm, demanding an explanation, "What exactly are you talking about?"

"Still pretending? You were cheating, and Jiang Ziyu saw it. You're still playing dumb with me," Wu Xuerou angrily flung his arm away.

Unjustly accused, Di Ruihe was both angry and helpless. He pulled Wu Xuerou, whose hand was still struggling, to the office desk.

Three documents were placed before them, with his name on them.

"What are you showing me these for?" Wu Xuerou asked tearfully.

Di Ruihe explained helplessly, "Didn't you want to know what I was doing in there just now? Do you know now?"

"Do you think I'm an idiot? Does signing require an assistant to watch from outside?" Wu Xuerou was convinced he had done something to betray her.

Seeing her obstinacy, Di Ruihe sighed. He painstakingly explained the situation to her, detailing everything he had been doing these past few days.

After listening to the entire sequence of events, Wu Xuerou suddenly came to her senses.

The last time there was such a commotion at the company and home, it was Zhao Yanxia. Now, Zhao Yanxia had been sent abroad. Was Jiang Ziyu telling her this to make her follow Zhao Yanxia's path?

As the thought struck her, Wu Xuerou, enraged and embarrassed, slammed the table, "Good for her, Jiang Ziyu! She actually wanted me to ruin your plan."

"Can't you use your brain at all?" Di Ruihe exclaimed in anger.

If she had encountered even a slight issue today, she would have escalated things considerably.

Di Ruihe once again cautioned Wu Xuerou, urging her to remember not to act impulsively. He then instructed his assistant to escort her back.

As she exited the company, Di Mingjue arrived. They met face to face, and seeing Jiang Ziyu following behind him, Wu Xuerou's pleasant expression instantly soured.

She didn't speak to greet them, and Di Mingjue didn't acknowledge her.

As they brushed past each other, Wu Xuerou, unable to help herself, called out to Jiang Ziyu.

"Sister-in-law, do you have time? Can I speak with you privately?"

Jiang Ziyu happened to be at the company, being forced to accompany Di Mingjue. Rather than going up and staying by his side, she decided to tease Wu Xuerou.

She glanced down at Di Mingjue, "You two go up first. I'll be up in a moment."

Di Mingjue, unwilling to let her out of his sight, commanded Shen Lin to stop, "I'll wait for you here."

The message was clear: they would speak not too far from him.

She was nominally his wife, not a prisoner he had bought. Why the need to watch so vigilantly?

Jiang Ziyu couldn't be bothered to argue with him. She nodded perfunctorily and took Wu Xuerou to a nearby lounge area.

"Did you need something?"

Facing the direct question, Wu Xuerou didn't back down, "Sister-in-law, are you unhappy yourself, and deliberately making others unhappy too?"

Jiang Ziyu raised her eyebrows playfully, resting her hand on her slightly raised knee, "Oh?"

She raised her voice, smiling as she looked at her.

Wu Xuerou's eyes glared as if she could devour the sky, and she warned through gritted teeth, "Don't think I don't know your motive for saying that. You want to design a fight between me and Ruihe? That's impossible!"

She wasn't as foolish as Zhao Yanxia, who had directly destroyed her husband's career and their family of three's opportunity to live in the capital with her own hands.
