Chapter 208 Waiting at Home

"Give me the phone, I'll speak," Wu Jie reached out to ask for the phone.

Alice brought the phone to him.

The call had already been dialed and rang a few times before the other party answered.

"President Mu, it's me," Wu Jie greeted first.

"Hmm, something up?" Mu Liangchen asked.

Hearing this, Wu Jie paused before explaining, "Jiang Feifei brought Di Dongsheng today to sign the contract. Should I have someone send the contract to you?"

"It's signed?" Mu Liangchen exclaimed.

He had expected the task he assigned to Wu Jie to take a few more days. He hadn't expected that in less than two days, he would have caught the fish.

Recalling himself, he thought of Wu Jie waiting for a response on the other end of the line, "No need, I'll send someone to get it later."

"Then what about our previous agreement?"

"It will be implemented exactly as we discussed."

"Alright, I trust you, President Mu."

After hanging up, Wu Jie smiled, holding the phone.

...

On the other side, after Mu Liangchen hung up, he immediately contacted Jiang Feifei.

Just as she arrived at the entrance of the Di residence, Jiang Feifei glanced at the yard and got back into the car with her phone.

"What's wrong?" Jiang Ziyu answered the call, her gaze fixed on the Di residence outside the window.

Mu Liangchen heard her hurried tone and couldn't help but worry, "Where are you?"

"Just returned to the Di residence, still in the car," Jiang Ziyu replied.

"Are you free to talk?"

"Yes, make it quick."

"Di Dongsheng has signed the contract. You can remind Di Mingjue on your end."

Jiang Ziyu saw Di Mingjue walking out of the living room. He seemed to know she was in the car and moved his wheelchair towards her.

She pulled the phone away from her ear, brought it to her mouth, and hung up with a greeting.

Pretending to tidy up the car, she turned her back to the car window, deliberately avoiding Di Mingjue's movements.

When she went out, the wheelchair's wheel got stuck in a crack in the stone. No matter how Di Mingjue operated the buttons, the wheel was lodged and couldn't be pulled out.

The parts made creaking sounds, and Jiang Ziyu turned to look.

Just then, Di Mingjue looked up, and their eyes met.

There was no way to avoid it now, so Jiang Ziyu got out of the car.

The wheel was stuck tightly, and coupled with Di Mingjue's weight, Jiang Ziyu's efforts to pull it up were ineffective.

"Can you stand up?"

As the words left her mouth, she noticed Di Mingjue's expression and realized she had spoken inappropriately.

His legs were useless, unable to provide any support for his body. His eyes had recovered after a period of acupuncture, and his legs had also undergone acupuncture for a while, but to no avail.

Di Mingjue pushed away Jiang Ziyu's arm and said dejectedly, "If it's not possible, don't try anymore. Call someone over."

Unintentionally touching his sore spot, Jiang Ziyu insisted on helping him out. She crouched down, pried at the wheel, and shook it back and forth, loosening the soil in the crack.

Seeing that the situation was almost resolved, she lifted her arm, and the wheelchair came out of the dirt.

Brushing the dust off her palms, Jiang Ziyu said with satisfaction, "There, you can go out now."

Di Mingjue looked at her, turned his wheelchair around, and faced the same direction as her, "What were you doing in the car just now?"

As expected, he was coming for her.

Jiang Feifei was evasive, fabricating an excuse, "Looking for something, I lost a hairpin and thought it might be in the car."

As she explained, she reached up and felt around her head.

With a suspicious look, Di Mingjue had stayed home instead of going to the company today, waiting for her. When the maid told him in the morning that Jiang Ziyu had already left, he was curious about what business had made her leave before dawn without breakfast on a weekend.

Sensing his suspicion, Jiang Ziyu volunteered the information, "I went back to the Jiang residence. On the way, I saw Jiang Feifei and Di Dongsheng going to Wu Corporation together."
