Chapter 218 Choose One

The sales assistant had barely brought the clothes out when Zhao Yanxia, without even glancing at them, hurried out clutching her handbag.

She spotted Jiang Feifei by the elevator entrance. Just as she was about to step forward, the other woman had already entered the elevator. Glancing left and right, she then looked towards the elevator behind her.

Despite her haste, she still hadn't caught up to Jiang Feifei. Watching the departing taxi, Zhao Yanxia felt a surge of resentment.

If she could give their only black card to an outsider, what else was she capable of?

Zhao Yanxia's heart pounded. She ran to the roadside and flagged down a taxi.

"Chase that taxi ahead!" Zhao Yanxia tossed a hundred-yuan bill into the driver's lap.

With the money in hand, the driver didn't hesitate. Gripping the steering wheel, he announced, "Hold on tight, I'm going to speed up!"

The taxi weaved smoothly through traffic, the distance between them gradually shrinking.

Zhao Yanxia gazed at the buildings outside. Her heart felt as if it had plunged into a pool of stagnant water. The taxi was heading towards the Wu Group, making it clear that Jiang Feifei had been telling the truth.

"Miss, the car in front has stopped," the driver said, slowing down and maintaining a safe distance. It seemed he was quite accustomed to being asked to chase cars.

Seeing Jiang Feifei enter the coffee shop beneath the commercial building, Zhao Yanxia slipped more bills into the driver's hand. "Is this enough for your day's earnings?"

Noticing the driver remained silent, she generously tossed a few more bills his way.

Gazing at the crisp banknotes, the driver quickly nodded. "Yes, yes, it's enough."

It was enough for two days, let alone one.

Zhao Yanxia's heart ached as she stared at the entrance of the coffee shop. If Di Dongsheng were to appear here, she couldn't imagine what extreme actions she might take upon witnessing such a scene.

The driver, bored, sized up Zhao Yanxia. "Miss, are you here to catch someone cheating?"

Zhao Yanxia glanced back at him, which only seemed to make the driver more animated.

"Don't look at me, I'm just a man and a taxi driver. But I'm very experienced. I often have people hire me to take them to catch their spouses cheating. Don't worry, with the tip you just gave me, if things go south for you, I'll definitely help you out."

As the driver continued to mumble incessantly, Zhao Yanxia, her mood sour, snapped, "Stop talking!"

Her mouth agape, the driver looked at her in bewilderment.

Zhao Yanxia saw a familiar car drive past. She opened the car door and hurried towards the coffee shop.

Since they were still in contact, she had to put a stop to it.

Zhao Yanxia reached the coffee shop entrance a step ahead of Di Dongsheng. She stood at the entrance, ignoring the staff's attempts to dissuade her, and waited for Di Dongsheng.

She wanted him to understand that she would be aware of everything he did. She also wanted Jiang Feifei to know that it wasn't so easy to snatch someone else's husband.

Di Dongsheng parked his car and, upon reaching the coffee shop entrance, saw Zhao Yanxia waiting there early. He looked surprised and turned his head to see Jiang Feifei waiting inside.

Both women were waiting for him to make a choice.

"Dongsheng, let's go home," Zhao Yanxia reached out to grasp his arm.

Inside, Jiang Feifei propped up her chin, watching every move outside with keen interest.

"I have work matters to discuss with her. You go back first, I'll be back later," Di Dongsheng pulled his arm away from Zhao Yanxia.

She regretted it!

Zhao Yanxia continued to grip his arm, shaking her head vigorously. "I just want you to come home."

Even if they were to go abroad now, she wouldn't care. At least she still had her husband and her children had a father.

Di Dongsheng had made up his mind. He shook off her hand and walked inside.

Left abandoned at the door, Zhao Yanxia helplessly watched the smug Jiang Feifei inside.

Her triumphant, unrestrained smile seemed to tell her that she had won, that she would take Di Dongsheng away.

Upon entering the coffee shop, Di Dongsheng looked at the heartbroken Zhao Yanxia outside. He took out his phone and contacted a driver to pick her up and take her home.
