Chapter 138 The Situation Reverses

The commotion in the booth was too loud, alerting the coffee shop manager.

"What's going on?" the manager asked the server next to him sternly.

The server, head bowed, weakly explained, "I accidentally... accidentally spilled coffee on a customer..."

Upon hearing this, the manager looked confusedly at Jiang Ziyu and Jiang Feifei, who were entangled.

"This has nothing to do with her. You don't need to blame her, and certainly don't deduct her wages," Jiang Ziyu pleaded on the server's behalf.

Injured herself, she still dared to shamelessly speak up for a server who had made a mistake!

Jiang Feifei used all her strength to break free from Jiang Ziyu's grasp, stepped back, and pointed menacingly at the server's face, "Deduct her wages? That's too light. You should fire her, or I won't let this coffee shop off."

Blood still flowed from her instep, and every part of Jiang Feifei hurt. She felt like killing.

The manager smiled apologetically, grabbed the server's shoulder, and said, "Apologize quickly!"

"I'm so..."

"Shut up. Do you really think an apology can solve everything?" Jiang Feifei ruthlessly interrupted the server.

The words caught in the server's throat, and she began to cry in distress.

The coffee shop's business was more important than a single server. The manager nodded and bowed, agreeing, "Don't worry, I'll fire her right away."

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I'll do anything you want, please don't let my manager fire me." The server cried and rushed forward, grabbing Jiang Feifei's hand and begging.

Just firing wasn't enough to calm Jiang Feifei's rage. Hearing her mournful cries, Jiang Feifei repulsively flung her away.

By inertia, the server stumbled backward. Seeing the back of her head about to hit the table, Jiang Ziyu moved forward to shield her, preventing her from falling.

The server looked at Jiang Ziyu with gratitude, as if she were her last hope. She excitedly grabbed Jiang Ziyu's arm, "I really don't want to be fired. Can you please speak up for me!"

Disgusted by Jiang Feifei's villainous behavior, Jiang Ziyu shielded the server and stood aside. She approached the manager, "Is this how your coffee shop treats its employees?"

The manager was taken aback, his face flushed as he retorted, "She made a mistake. Firing her is already lenient."

"How do you know she made a mistake?" Jiang Ziyu pressed the manager. Seeing him about to speak, she quickly cut him off, "You're just taking someone's word for it? Or do you condone wrongdoing and encourage bad behavior? If a thief had come to the coffee shop that day and stolen money, then accused the employees of taking it, would you still make these employees go to jail for the thief?"

"You..." The manager was rendered speechless.

Jiang Ziyu glanced at Jiang Feifei and then pointed to the red-lit camera overhead, "Before making any decisions, please clarify the situation. It's not that whoever speaks louder is right. Without evidence, any decision is subject to review."

After Jiang Ziyu's eloquent argument, the manager realized the situation was not as he had perceived it. He immediately ordered someone to pull up the surveillance footage around the booth.

After reviewing it, the manager breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, it wasn't the employee's fault in the first place. The plate had fallen because Jiang Feifei suddenly stood up and collided with it.

"Miss, you both share responsibility in this matter. Rest assured, we will cover the medical expenses, but we cannot fire our employee." the manager said to Jiang Feifei. Not fire?

Jiang Feifei sneered, "Are you sure?"

Since she was in the wrong, the manager stood tall and nodded, "Certain. Even if the police arrive, I won't fire my employee."

"Call the police," Jiang Ziyu said from the side. "Call the police and sue her for assault."
