"Qianqian, Yuze, say goodbye to Uncle!" Ye Ziyu instructed.
She didn't want her children to have overly mature considerations at such a young age, especially when facing people around them. They should treat everyone with kindness.
Qianqian pouted, lowering her head reluctantly.
"Goodbye, Uncle Gu," Yuze said, following Ye Ziyu's guidance.
With Yuze taking the lead, Qianqian still remained silent.
Ye Ziyu looked down at the stubborn Qianqian and gently consoled her, "Be polite. Uncle came to the hospital because of you. Shouldn't you also say goodbye to him?"
"Goodbye, Uncle," Qianqian finally said.
Gu Xiuyu offered a warm smile. "I'm leaving."
"Drive carefully," Ye Ziyu said, glancing at Di Mingjue. She had wanted to ask him to see them off, but remembering their strained relationship, she decided against it to avoid any trouble.
After Gu Xiuyu left the ward, Di Mingjue picked up Qianqian from the bed. When Ye Ziyu wasn't looking, he whispered in Qianqian's ear, "Very good. You should ignore people you don't like."
He then looked up and saw Ye Ziyu staring at him sternly.
"Does my Qianqian's stomach still hurt?" Di Mingjue quickly changed the subject.
Ye Ziyu shook her head helplessly.
After the examination, they took the children and left the hospital. Before heading back to the Ye residence, they went to pick up Xiao Ran from school.
School.
"Why are you alone?" Jiang Feifei was just leaving and happened to see Xiao Ran waiting at the entrance.
Hearing someone speak from behind, Xiao Ran turned his head.
"Auntie, do you know me?"
"You're a student at the school, so I don't know you personally, but why are you standing here alone waiting for your parents?"
Seeing that Jiang Feifei was coming out of the school, Xiao Ran nodded with a sense of relief.
Qianqian and Yuze had been taken to the hospital. He was waiting here for Uncle Hu to pick him up. However, it had been a long time since school ended, and all the other children had been picked up by their parents, but Uncle Hu hadn't arrived.
Xiao Ran gazed at the passing traffic, his mood dampened as he looked down at his feet.
"Do you know your parents' phone numbers? Why don't you use my phone to call them?" Jiang Feifei pulled out her phone and offered it to Xiao Ran.
He knew the number, but Xiao Ran was reluctant to make the call. He knew someone would come to pick him up. They must have been delayed on the road, and if he called anxiously, they would worry.
Xiao Ran pushed the phone back with his hand. "Thank you, Auntie. I'll just wait here. There's no need to call."
Seeing that he had impolitely refused, Jiang Feifei observed her surroundings. There were cameras all around the school entrance, so her idea had no chance of being realized.
She put her phone back in her pocket and bent down to stand in front of Xiao Ran. Her fingers found a piece of candy in her pocket. She looked up at Xiao Ran. "You're so good. Auntie has some candy here. Would you like some?"
As soon as she finished speaking, Xiao Ran ran away from Jiang Feifei with a jolt.
"Mommy!"
Jiang Feifei turned her head towards the car parked by the roadside behind her.
Ye Ziyu got out of the car and opened her arms to welcome the running Xiao Ran.
"Mommy, did you know Qianqian and Yuze went to the hospital?"
Yuze and Qianqian poked their heads out from the car.
"You are together!" Xiao Ran shouted excitedly.
Ye Ziyu nodded, picked him up from the ground, and said, "Your teacher called me to inform us to go to the hospital. So, we picked up Qianqian and Yuze from the hospital first, and then we came to pick you up to go home."
After placing Xiao Ran in the car, Ye Ziyu looked back towards the school entrance. She had seen a familiar figure just now, but before she could get a clear look, the person was gone.
"Mommy, what are you looking at?" Xiao Ran, inside the car, touched her hand and followed her gaze to the spot where he had just been standing.
Ye Ziyu shook her head, bent down, and got into the car.
The children's voices filled the car. Ye Ziyu, through the rearview mirror, kept looking back with a hint of confusion.
