Chapter 662 Dining in the Classroom

Back at the Ye residence, Ye Ziyu personally prepared some light meals for the children. After watching them finish, she arranged for their bath and rest.

Once the children were settled, she returned to her room and shed her earlier energy, her entire being relaxing.

Di Mingjue brought a cup of hot milk and came up behind Ye Ziyu. His fingertips massaged her temples. "Drink the milk, you'll sleep more comfortably tonight."

Ye Ziyu pulled Di Mingjue's arm, drawing him from behind to face her.

"The children need to strengthen their bodies," Ye Ziyu said, placing a sheet of paper into Di Mingjue's hand.

The paper was filled with a list of activities the children were expected to do from waking up to going to bed.

Di Mingjue raised the paper. "Is this preparation?"

"To boost their immunity. Today proved the importance of exercise," Ye Ziyu stated.

Whatever she intended to do, Di Mingjue could only comply.

Di Mingjue placed the paper back on the table, then gently pulled Ye Ziyu to the bedside. "Put aside other matters for now and get some good rest. You've been too exhausted these past few days, you even have dark circles under your eyes."

Rubbing beneath her eyes, Ye Ziyu confirmed it. She stretched and lay down on the bed, attended by Di Mingjue.

The next day.

Because of the food that had upset their stomachs, Ye Ziyu specifically instructed the teacher when sending them to school. They would not eat the school lunch; someone would bring them food then.

After the morning lessons concluded, the teacher specifically kept the children in the classroom, watching over them.

Qianqian rested her head on the desk. She had been forced to drink a cup of milk by Ye Ziyu that morning and had also completed half an hour of morning exercises. She was not yet allowed to eat in the cafeteria with the others.

Xiao Ran stood by the classroom door. Seeing a familiar figure, he immediately waved. "Uncle Hu!"

"Uncle Hu is here?" Yu Ze stood up from his chair.

The teacher saw the man approaching and immediately stepped forward to inquire, "Are you here to deliver lunch for them, arranged by Miss Ye?"

"Yes," Old Hu placed the insulated food containers on the desk. "Thank you for your trouble, teacher. You can go about your business. I'll watch them eat here."

To prevent them from being picky eaters, Ye Ziyu had specifically told Old Hu to stay in the classroom and watch them finish their meal before leaving.

"Alright," the teacher took his things and left.

Old Hu opened the insulated containers, presenting the food to the children.

Upon seeing the food, Qianqian and Xiao Ran began to complain.

"Why is it all food we don't like!"

Ye Ziyu had done this intentionally, wanting to correct their picky eating habits.

Old Hu smiled and wiped the chopsticks and spoons clean, placing them before them. "Madam gave the instructions, you should eat properly."

Ye Ziyu could say one thing at home, and they could not say another. Though they grumbled, their actions did not falter.

Old Hu watched from the side as the children quietly ate the food he had brought.

School cafeteria.

Jiang Feifei was absentmindedly serving students, her mind elsewhere. With one slight slip, the soup from her ladle almost scalded a student.

"What are you thinking about!" a nearby teacher quickly pulled the child away.

The commotion drew the attention of Sister Hong from the side.

Sister Hong looked at the silent Jiang Feifei, then at the angry teacher, and quickly mediated. "She's new and not yet proficient."

"No matter how inexperienced, one must be serious at work. If I hadn't noticed, she would have scalded the child today," the teacher said.

Sister Hong continued to speak on Jiang Feifei's behalf, placating the teacher. The teacher, considering she was an older employee, decided to let the matter rest.

After the teacher left, Sister Hong patted Jiang Feifei's shoulder, and the two continued serving the children behind them.

Once their work was done, Sister Hong didn't bother tidying up and instead pulled Jiang Feifei outside the cafeteria.

"What were you thinking about just now?"
