Chapter 652 The Truth of the Matter

It turned out that everything he had said was true!

Ye Ziyu nodded in response to the teacher, "Xingxing's background is a bit unusual, which also makes him a bit solitary. I'll trouble you to take more care of him."

"Rest assured, as teachers, we will not neglect any student. I have also educated the students who were involved in the fight. The ones who started it have realized their mistake and apologized to Xingxing."

"Thank you, teacher. Xingxing is feeling unwell and needs to take some time off."

"His father has already requested leave for him."

Understanding that Ye Shaoting had made all the arrangements in advance, Ye Ziyu and Di Mingjue left.

Walking through the campus, Ye Ziyu listened to the children's cheerful reading. Feeling the breeze, her heavy heart began to lighten.

"Still worried?" Di Mingjue asked.

Ye Ziyu said, "I misunderstood Ye Shaoting. I saw the injuries on Xingxing and learned that he was the one who beat them, and I panicked. After a series of investigations, I found that I had thought too badly of him."

"He is quite bad."

"What did you say?"

Di Mingjue put his arm around Ye Ziyu's shoulder, "I was wondering which restaurant we should go to after picking up the children."

"Let's eat at home, it's a good chance to check on Xingxing," Ye Ziyu replied.

"Whatever you say."

The two walked under the spacious trees, unaware that someone was watching them from behind.

*Click*, a mobile phone captured the scene of them walking away. Jiang Feifei immediately sent the photo to Ye Shaoting.

Hospital.

Xingxing lay on the hospital bed, receiving an IV drip. The infected wound had caused him to develop a high fever and fall unconscious.

Feeling his phone vibrate in his pocket, Ye Shaoting took it out.

[They came to the hospital to inquire about Xingxing and the fight with his classmates.]

A photo was attached below the text.

Ye Shaoting closed his phone and glanced at Xingxing lying in front of him.

He had prepared everything in advance, and he hadn't expected the fish to have no suspicion at all, biting the bait bit by bit and entering the net.

It seemed he needed to treat Xingxing well! After all, he couldn't lose his only bargaining chip.

Ye Shaoting came to the bedside and sat down, carefully tucking the blankets on both sides of Xingxing.

Halfway through the IV drip, Xingxing regained consciousness. He opened his eyes and looked at Ye Shaoting sitting in front of him. As his blurred vision cleared, he stirred, trying to sit up.

"Don't move," Ye Shaoting touched his forehead, "Are you still feeling unwell?"

"No, not anymore." After a long silence, Xingxing's voice was hoarse.

Ye Shaoting picked up the water cup from the bedside table, supported his neck, and carefully fed him water.

After finishing the cup of water, Xingxing felt much better. He looked at the unfamiliar environment and realized they were in a hospital.

"You had a fever. Why didn't you tell me you were feeling unwell? If I hadn't come back to see you, you would have burned into a little fool!" Ye Shaoting teased him in a scolding tone.

Fever?

He had only felt dizzy at the time and wanted to sleep. He hadn't realized he was sick.

Xingxing lowered his head in self-reproach, "I'm sorry, I made you worry."

"You don't need to apologize to me, you need to apologize to yourself. Your body suffered because of your carelessness," Ye Shaoting lectured.

People should consider themselves first, not others. Only then can life be free of disappointment.

Ye Shaoting looked at the IV drip that had not yet finished and said to Xingxing, "You will need to stay in the hospital for a few days. I will arrange for teachers to catch up on your martial arts training and schoolwork, so don't worry about anything."

"Okay, I'll listen to you, Dad." Xingxing nodded obediently.

Ye Shaoting stroked his cheek and picked up the empty water cup from the bedside table. Leaving him in the hospital had other reasons besides his medical treatment. He looked back at the well-behaved Xingxing and smiled at him.
