"Uncle!"
The three children complained in unison.
Ye Chenhan's eyelids were so heavy he could barely lift them. He didn't care if they were happy or angry.
Pushing away the children's entanglement, he nimbly returned to his room and lay down on the bed. The moment his back hit the pillow, he was fast asleep.
The piercing ringtone suddenly sounded, and Ye Chenhan opened his eyes to the stimulation of the sound. He looked at the ceiling and resentfully took out his phone from his clothes.
Damn it, who was calling him now! Cursing inwardly, Ye Chenhan looked at the display on the screen.
He patted his lips in annoyance and happily answered the call, "Xixi, what's wrong? Is Uncle Yu unwell again?"
"Chenhan, where are you now?" Yu Xixi's tone on the phone was urgent.
When they parted, he remembered telling her he was going back to rest. Why was she suddenly checking up on him now?
Thinking to himself, Ye Chenhan replied, "I just got into bed and was about to sleep."
"Don't sleep. Come to the hospital immediately, something has happened," Yu Xixi said.
Upon hearing the word "hospital," Ye Chenhan's drowsiness instantly vanished. He quickly put on his clothes and walked out of the room with his phone.
The three children were still waiting in the living room for Ye Ziyu and the others to return. Seeing Ye Chenhan descend in a hurry, they immediately turned to look at him.
"Uncle, you're changing your shoes, where are you going?" Qianqian asked curiously.
Still on the phone with Yu Xixi, Ye Chenhan pointed outside, a silent response to Qianqian.
Hearing the sound of his departure, Qianqian sat on the sofa, dejected.
"Mommy and Daddy aren't home, and Uncle doesn't care about us. Are they abandoning us?"
"How could that be?"
Qianqian's thought was immediately interrupted by Xiao Ran.
Ye Ziyu wouldn't give up anything, nor would she abandon them without care.
Qianqian pouted, her bell-like eyes filled with tears, "Then why isn't Mommy answering her phone? And she was clearly at home last night, but she was gone this morning."

Ye Chenhan was both anxious and exhausted. Fearing he might get into an accident while driving, he took a taxi. As soon as he got out of the car, he saw Yu Xixi waiting at the hospital entrance.
"Uncle Yu was fine when he left. How did he suddenly get so serious that he had to come to the hospital?" Ye Chenhan asked Yu Xixi curiously as he approached her.
Yu Xixi grabbed his hand and walked into the hospital, "It's not my dad, it's Mingjue Ge."
"Who did you say?" Ye Chenhan questioned in shock.
"I just came to get medicine for my dad and ran into Zi Yu Jie at the hospital. She told me," Yu Xixi explained.
Ye Ziyu hadn't told her why Di Mingjue was hospitalized, but his presence at the hospital meant it couldn't be good. She had called Ye Chenhan out of curiosity, not expecting him to be unaware.
As the two entered the elevator, Ye Chenhan understood why the children didn't know about their situation and had been waiting anxiously at home.
"Where is Ziyu? How is she?" Ye Chenhan inquired.
Sighing heavily, Yu Xixi's tone was heavy, "She looked very tired, as if something very serious had happened. When we met, she didn't elaborate on Mingjue Ge's condition, as if she didn't want anyone else to know about Mingjue Ge's hospitalization. I thought, given your relationship, you should know."
