Chapter 518: Trident of the Sea God
"BZZZZZT!"
"BOOOOOOMMMMMM..."
The sky and earth shifted in an instant.
No exaggeration—Ethan’s level might not have visibly changed, but that was just on the surface. In truth, compared to when he first entered this world, his power had more than doubled. Hell, it had multiplied several times over.
"What the hell?!"
Abyssal Overlord Poseidra’s eyes narrowed the moment he saw it. His expression darkened.
"You... you’re not from this world, are you?"
Ethan’s power didn’t quite belong here. It was different—foreign—but somehow still fused with the energy of this realm. That made it stronger. Superior.
FWIP!
Poseidra didn’t dare let his guard down. He immediately leapt back a few steps.
BOOM! A surge of raw power exploded from his body, slamming straight into Ethan’s energy.
CRACKLE—CRACKLE—CRACKLE—
BZZZZZT!
The shockwave rippled outward, shaking the heavens and the earth. Thunder roared across the sky as bolts of lightning gathered above, all of them converging toward Poseidra.
You had to admit—this guy was no joke. With just a snap of his fingers, the entire coastline trembled. Moments later, a swarm of sea creatures burst from the ocean, hovering in midair like summoned spirits.
And then—
Even Namyanna suddenly clutched her body in pain, as if something had taken hold of her.
"What the hell? He can control sea creatures too?"
Ethan narrowed his eyes. If that was really one of Poseidra’s abilities, then yeah—this fight just got a whole lot more complicated.
Dealing with one Abyssal Overlord was already a nightmare.
But if he could summon an army?
That’d be a damn disaster.
Ethan kept his eyes locked on Poseidra.
If he was summoning, then there had to be some kind of magical energy signature—some pulse or fluctuation. If Ethan could find the weak point in that signal, he could interrupt the summoning.
With that thought, he launched forward.
The power of the Sacred Realm surged around him, wrapping the entire battlefield in its glow.
At the same time, he activated the system, scanning Poseidra’s data in real time.
BZZZZZT!
There it was.
He spotted it.
A faint, almost imperceptible aura radiating from Poseidra’s trident.
It was connected to the ocean itself, sending out commands—summoning the creatures of the deep.
Ethan didn’t hesitate. He shot forward.
While Ataneya and Andona kept Poseidra distracted, Ethan closed the distance and struck.
WHAM!
He knocked the trident clean out of Poseidra’s hands.
FWOOOSH!
Instantly, the mysterious energy inside it went haywire. The summoned sea creatures snapped out of their trance, their eyes wide with fear, and dove back into the ocean.
"You—!"
Poseidra’s eyes went wide with rage.
"You bastard! You dare—?! I’ll kill you right here and now!"
He spun around and summoned the trident back to his hand. A wave of crimson, violent energy erupted from his body, locking onto Ethan like a predator.
But then—
Ethan’s eyes caught something.
Right in the center of Poseidra’s chest... a blood-red gem.
It was pulsing.
All that power—it was coming from there.
Ethan grinned. Gotcha.
While Poseidra was still charging up, Ethan moved like lightning, weaving through the gaps in the energy storm. He drove his fist straight into the gem.
CRACK!
A sharp, shattering sound rang out.
The immense power Poseidra had just gathered vanished in an instant.
Before he could even react—
BOOM!
Ethan’s energy exploded outward, sending Poseidra flying.
"No... no way! How did you know where my power was coming from?!"
Ethan didn’t answer.
He just charged forward, pierced Poseidra’s body with a brutal strike, and ripped the blood-red gem straight from his chest.
SPLURT!
Blood sprayed everywhere.
The ocean trembled.
Ethan shouted, "Namyanna! Get over here!"
"This thing—it’s his power source! Absorb it—now!"
Namyanna’s eyes lit up. She flashed forward, slicing open her own arm to begin the absorption.
Ataneya and Andona understood immediately.
FWIP! FWIP!
They rushed in, unleashing their own energy to pin Poseidra in midair, locking him down completely.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Abyssal Overlord Poseidra’s voice cracked with panic.
He had never—never—been this helpless before.
But Ethan didn’t even glance at him. He ignored the screaming, the threats, the desperation. With surgical precision, he sliced open Poseidra’s body and began extracting the core of his bloodline power—his very essence—and funneled it straight into Namyanna.
BZZZZZT!
Poseidra’s body began to wither before their eyes, shriveling up like a husk. Within moments, he looked like a dried-out corpse, floating lifelessly in midair.
BOOOOOOMMMMMM!
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The world itself seemed to roar in response. The energy of the realm surged wildly, flooding toward Namyanna in a torrent of raw, unrelenting power.
Her magic surged. Her level skyrocketed.
"Yes! I knew it! It’s working!" Ethan shouted, eyes gleaming with excitement.
He doubled down, pushing harder, drawing every last drop of Poseidra’s power into Namyanna’s body.
Snap!
No one knew how long it lasted—but eventually, Poseidra’s body collapsed completely. Even the remnants of his soul shattered and scattered like ash in the wind.
BOOM!
A massive wave of energy exploded from Namyanna. The ocean around them erupted into chaos, waves towering like mountains, as if the sea itself was bowing to its new queen. Cracks split the sky, and golden light poured down, illuminating her like a divine figure.
Then, the trident—once brimming with dark magic—rose into the air, spinning slowly before floating into Namyanna’s outstretched hand.
The moment she touched it, the dark aura vanished. The weapon shimmered, transforming into a radiant blue-gold.
"This is... the Trident of the Sea God?" Namyanna whispered, eyes wide with disbelief.
This wasn’t just any weapon. This was the sacred relic every sea creature dreamed of—an artifact of unimaginable power. And now, it was hers. Not only that—it responded to her.
Ethan’s heart pounded with adrenaline.
He watched as Namyanna’s stats shot up in real time, climbing rapidly until they were nearly on par with Andona’s.
When the numbers finally stopped rising, Namyanna stood transformed—her power now on a whole new level.
She gave the trident a single, graceful twirl.
BOOOOOOM!
The entire ocean responded with a thunderous roar.
From beneath the waves, sea creatures of every kind emerged, lifting their heads toward her, their bodies glowing with energy. They were resonating with the trident—resonating with her.
Namyanna’s breath caught in her throat. She could feel it—this overwhelming, sovereign force coursing through her. She wasn’t just powerful now.
She was the new ruler of the sea.
Overcome with emotion, she turned and dropped to one knee before Ethan.
"My Lord... I did it. Thank you—for your mercy, your wisdom. Because of you, I now wield the Trident of the Sea God... and the Gorgon’s Eye. With these, maybe—just maybe—we can defeat Klorvax."
Ethan gave a small nod, lifting the Gorgon’s Eye in his hand.
"Then let’s go meet him."
"We’ve worked our asses off for this moment. Time to cash in."
They were stronger now. Strong enough to take Klorvax down.
...
In a silent, shadowed valley, Klorvax hovered midair, absorbing the energy of the land around him.
"That lunatic Ataneya... she actually gave the Sacred Gem to an outsider? Has she lost her damn mind? That traitorous bitch!" he snarled, his face twisted with rage.
"She’s betrayed us all. If I ever see her again, I’ll rip her apart."
His voice was low, venomous, seething with fury.
But then—
BOOOOOOM!
A violent shockwave tore through the valley, shaking the mountains and splitting the sky.
"Klorvax!" Ethan’s voice thundered across the landscape. "Come out and face your end!"
"An ambush?" Klorvax’s pupils shrank.
Then his face contorted into a savage grin.
"That damn outsider again? He’s come back to die? Perfect. I’ll grant him his wish."
"Let’s end this."
He immediately rallied his forces and stormed out of the valley.
But when they reached the open sky and saw who was waiting for them...
They froze.
Floating above them were three figures: Tidecaller Namyanna, Angel of Death Andona, and Ataneya.
They were legends—guardians of the Sacred Gems, rarely seen, but feared and revered across the entire Dark World.
So why... why were they here?
Klorvax’s face twisted in disbelief.
"So... you’re all traitors now, just like her."
"Andona. Namyanna. You really want to die that badly?" he growled, his voice dripping with venom.
...
