Beside them, the dragon rhino and the roc also became masterless in an instant.
They glanced fearfully at the elder's corpse and then tried to flee.
Xu Zimo thought for a moment. Since the God World had now officially entered the era of cultivation, the number of divine beasts was still extremely limited, mostly just those from the Myriad Beasts Realm. Other beasts still had a long road ahead if they hoped to evolve into divine beasts.
These two beasts could help enrich the variety of spirit beasts in his True Fate World.
With a wave of his right hand, he drew the roc and dragon rhino into the True Fate World, leaving them to be trained properly by Chaos and the others.
He then returned to the inn and resumed eating meat.
His bodily transformation continued.
As he absorbed more food, his body was able to draw in more and more of the Power of Creation.
The golden blood within him surged like a mighty ocean, flowing with unstoppable momentum.
Xu Zimo could feel that once all the blood in his body fully transformed into gold, a single drop would weigh over ten thousand kilos and contain enough force to burst an Empyrean Meridian realm beast apart.
At that point, he truly might be able to fill the seas with a drop of blood, cut down the sun, moon, and stars with a blade, and flip the heavens and earth with a single gesture.
…
From morning to night, and from night until the next morning.
Xu Zimo ate for an entire day and night, nearly emptying the inn’s entire food supply.
He stood up and stretched, shattering the space around him.
Clenching his fist, a loud crackling sound rang out from within.
“Monk, let’s go,” Xu Zimo said.
Master Great Wisdom nodded, and the two walked out of the inn together.
Before leaving, Xu Zimo tossed several hundred spirit crystals onto the counter.
“Sir, it's our honor that someone like you would dine here,” the innkeeper said, hurrying to refuse. “We wouldn’t dare accept your money.”
“Just take it. I’m not a bandit. I eat, I pay,” Xu Zimo waved him off. “I believe in finishing what I start.”
Walking out of the inn, Xu Zimo looked in the direction ahead.
As the capital of the Beast Taming Sacred Ground, Hundred Beasts City was very close to the lineage itself.
About ten kilometers to the south lay a beast forest.
Home to all sorts of monsters, it was a true paradise for spirit beasts.
The Beast Taming Sacred Ground had built their lineage within it, raising their disciples to bond with beasts from a young age and form contracts.
Xu Zimo and Master Great Wisdom took to the air, arriving at the edge of the beast forest within minutes.
From above, the forest stretched endlessly, so vast that the end couldn’t be seen.
Towering ancient trees dozens of meters high filled the landscape, wild and primeval.
Entering the forest was like stepping into a remote and ancient jungle from a bygone era.
The air was thick with primal energy.
Beast roars echoed endlessly in the distance.
From the hidden underbrush, countless predatory eyes stared at Xu Zimo and Master Great Wisdom.
“Friends from the Beast Taming Sacred Ground, won’t you come out and greet us?” Master Great Wisdom called out loudly.
“When you can make it in, you’ll be qualified to meet us,” a voice echoed from the void.
The voice spread through the forest, and the beasts within grew restless.
Roars came from all directions, clear signs that the outsiders weren’t welcome.
“Then let’s go in,” Xu Zimo said, waving his hand.
He and Master Great Wisdom began walking deeper into the forest.
Suddenly, the sunlight above vanished.
A black shadow swooped down from above, blocking out the light.
With a loud boom, it landed, a claw gleaming with cold light slashing straight at them.
The two stepped back, dodging the strike.
Looking closely, they saw a saber-toothed tiger covered in spotted fur.
It had a muscular build and fangs several meters long.
Its fur looked like steel, and it stared at Xu Zimo and Master Great Wisdom like prey.
“Looks pretty intimidating,” Xu Zimo chuckled.
As the beast pounced, Xu Zimo calmly drew his sword, Shadow Tyrant.
One strike. A wail. Then the head fell.
They continued walking forward. More and more spirit beasts appeared around them.
But none rushed to attack, instead, they began to surround the two like hunters encircling prey.
As time passed, the number of beasts around them grew.
There were already several hundred.
After walking some more, a mountain gate appeared in their view.
“We’ve arrived,” Master Great Wisdom muttered.
Ahead, mist veiled everything.
Through the haze, they could faintly see the outline of a grand building.
Within the fog, qilins roared, demonic phoenixes blazed with strange flames, and countless legendary beasts flew, galloped, and roared.
A golden mountain gate stood at the forefront.
Above it were three grand characters: “Beast Taming Sacred Ground.”
These weren’t ordinary characters, they were formed by spirit beasts themselves.
“Beast” was a qilin.
“Taming” was a white tiger.
“Sacred Ground” was a ghostly chariot beast.
“Now that’s extravagant,” Xu Zimo laughed. “Makes me a little jealous, honestly.”
As they reached the gate, the surrounding beasts began to grow restless.
Almost like they'd been ordered, they all roared and charged at Xu Zimo and Master Great Wisdom.
A swarm tactic, an attempt to drown and devour the intruders through sheer numbers.
Back on the Eternal Lands, Xu Zimo had learned a meridian technique from the Nine Heavens Imperial Sect called “A Speck In The Vast Sea.”
Xu Zimo had since improved it.
Originally using water, he now wielded the blade.
An ocean of blades worked just as well.
One drop of blood could drown a wilderness. One sword could slaughter all beasts.
He spun his sword, Shadow Tyrant, before him.
Countless waves of sword intent surged outward like a raging sea.
As the beasts charged, time seemed to freeze.
Xu Zimo clenched his fist slowly.
It felt as if he wasn’t just gripping his hand, but the whole world itself.
When he opened his hand, the sword intent burst forth like a tidal wave, spreading violently in all directions.
Booms echoed everywhere.
The sword intent shattered this entire lineageion of the forest. Whether beast, tree, or grass, all were obliterated.
When the storm cleared, the area was devastated. Cracks split the earth. Nothing was left.
Xu Zimo’s purple robe fluttered in the wind.
He stepped through the mountain gate.
The gate was like an independent space. After a moment of spatial resistance, he forced his way through.
…
Inside the Beast Taming Sacred Ground, a massive pressure descended from the sky.
Xu Zimo looked up.
High above in the endless sky, a group of people stood on various divine beasts, gazing down.
“You’re standing too high,” Xu Zimo said calmly.
The one in front was the current Sacred Lord of the Beast Taming Sacred Ground, Jiang Shenglong.
