All of the Beast Taming Sacred Ground’s members stood in the sky.
Led by Jiang Shenglong, he sat on a throne at the front, with elders on either side.
Beneath each of them was a divine beast.
The beasts roared, and a thick aura of beastly might echoed across the heavens.
“Who are you?” Jiang Shenglong said coldly. “If your name is great, perhaps we’ve heard of you.”
“Just two nameless rogue cultivators,” Xu Zimo waved his hand and replied.
“Two nobodies dare to attack my Beast Taming Sacred Ground?” Jiang Shenglong said blandly. “You really think we’re so easy to bully?”
“What’s with all the talking?” Xu Zimo shook his head slightly. “I already said, you’re standing too high.”
He hurled Shadow Tyrant from his hand.
In this moment, golden blood flowed through Xu Zimo’s body, and even his bones had turned gold.
These golden bones couldn’t be broken even by a divine-vein expert.
Shadow Tyrant flew with immense pressure, slicing toward the crowd.
The people of the Beast Taming Sacred Ground didn’t panic. The divine beasts beneath them screeched and scattered.
But they clearly underestimated the power of this strike.
With a loud “boom,” Shadow Tyrant exploded in the sky.
The surrounding void shattered, and the residual force from the blast still knocked the lineage members down from the sky.
Seeing their panicked figures, Xu Zimo brought his palms together, and a sea of blade prison slowly unfolded.
As his arms spread wide, countless blade shadows shot outward.
Those who had just regained their footing now panicked, dodging desperately.
But the blade shadows surged like a sea, they couldn’t all be avoided. The divine beasts all fell from the sky.
“I told you, I don’t like others standing higher than me,” Xu Zimo said calmly.
He raised his right hand, and the exploded Shadow Tyrant returned to his grip at light speed.
Sword in hand, he began walking slowly toward the crowd.
“Kill him,” Jiang Shenglong ordered coldly.
The divine beasts around them roared.
Each one brimming with terrifying aura, their pressure so great that even the beasts in the surrounding forest trembled and bowed.
They surrounded Xu Zimo. The Nine-headed Hydra spat nine beams of different elements. The divine beasts unleashed their powers, their might rising like a storm. Dragon roars and tiger howls shook both mountains and sky.
Xu Zimo chuckled, unmoved. He didn’t dodge, just walked forward toward Jiang Shenglong and the others.
With his transformed body, even these divine beasts’ attacks were nothing more than tickles.
Xu Zimo grabbed a bird beast as it charged and yanked it from the sky.
Raising his right fist, “boom”, the bird exploded into a mist of blood.
Everyone, from Jiang Shenglong to distant disciples, was shaken.
Just like that... killed?
The Golden Howling Ape roared in fury. Xu Zimo kicked it with one leg.
With a loud bang, the ground cracked open, and the beast was launched to the horizon, vanishing into a speck.
He grabbed the Hydra by the throat and ripped off its nine heads one by one.
Screams of agony rang out. The blood-soaked corpse was tossed aside.
Xu Zimo walked forward step by step, like death itself approaching.
Jiang Shenglong and the elders quickly retreated.
The other divine beasts didn’t dare move. They could only watch from a distance.
“Please, let’s talk,” Jiang Shenglong said hastily. “Our lineage is willing to compensate you.”
“Whatever you want, just name it.”
“I’ve taken a liking to your divine beasts,” Xu Zimo said with a grin. “Bring them all out, and I’ll spare your lives.”
“These beasts are the foundation of our lineage,” Jiang Shenglong quickly replied. “Our ancestor, Red Qilin Emperor, made a pact with them. Without the beasts, the lineage will be ruined. Please, show mercy.”
“Whether your lineage survives or not has nothing to do with me,” Xu Zimo said plainly. “I only care about what I want.”
“If you won’t give us a path to live, then we’ll fight to the death,” an elder said angrily.
“Fight to the death? You think you’re worthy?” Xu Zimo laughed.
He casually grabbed the Dragon-Griffin and smashed its skull with a single punch.
Everyone watching trembled in fear.
“Summon the Ancestor! Quick!” Jiang Shenglong shouted toward the distance, panicking.
In the next moment, three loud bell tolls rang from afar.
Ahead of the Beast Taming Sacred Ground lay towering mountains shrouded in mist.
Like an immortal realm, even the flying beasts nearby had hidden away.
As the bell tolled three times, one mountain began to shake violently.
Countless rocks tumbled down. A fissure opened in the center of the peak.
A beast’s roar rang out.
Through the mist, a fiery red shadow could be vaguely seen.
The roar was deafening, cracking the sky itself.
Even just hearing the sound made the beast’s power clear.
Then, as the mountain collapsed completely, a beast burst forth with falling rocks around it.
Soaring into the sky, its force shattered the heavens, exuding endless pressure.
The crowd looked up and saw a crimson-eyed qilin.
Someone’s expression changed, this beast had once been the war beast of Red Qilin.
How could it still be in the Beast Taming Sacred Ground if the emperor had ascended?
The crimson-eyed qilin stood in the sky, stepping on clouds of fire.
It had the head of a lion, antlers of a deer, eyes of a tiger, body of an elk, scales of a dragon, and tail of an ox.
Its entire body was engulfed in golden-red flames. Most importantly, on its forehead...
A third eye had opened.
Beastly aura surged from all around it as it glared down.
And it wasn’t alone.
Thunder rumbled across the sky.
Lightning formed storm clouds.
Within the vast thunderclouds, a pupil appeared.
As the clouds scattered, another beast emerged.
A massive thunder dragon filled half the sky, thunder and flame intertwined.
It hovered beside the crimson-eyed qilin.
Above them both stood an elderly man, white-haired, ancient and dignified.
“Greetings, Ancestor Lei Qi,” all the disciples of the Beast Taming Sacred Ground below knelt and shouted in unison.
