Chapter 805: Alliance

Chapter 805: Alliance

With Nart and Clovis reaching an agreement, there was nothing they could do to stop them. Vina and Stefany had no strength to resist them. If they did something, it might even displease these two even further.

Hence, Vina and Stefany could only watch these two walking to the counter.

"Hello." Clovis smiled and took out his Skyphone. "Please check this."

The receptionist examined the Skyphone and noticed what Clovis had put up. The receptionist smiled. "Thank you very much. Please wait for a moment."

Nart glanced at Clovis’ screen. The only thing it had was 20-digit numbers. But it looked like the receptionist had understood the meaning of these numbers.

"What are those numbers?" Nart frowned.

"I don’t know either." Clovis shrugged. "However, since you are here, I will show you the rules to show my sincerity."

Clovis took out the letter and gave it to him. This was the same letter Clovis received from the association president, so Nart realized they hadn’t utilized their full potential the whole time.

"Are you sure about giving it to me without any request?" Nart asked.

"Yes, that’s a part of our deal, no?" Clovis shrugged.

Nart fell silent. No Tier 8 human was the standard condition, but the fact that they could get three Tier 7 humans as helpers was a huge deal.

Among Clovis’ people, there was no Tier 7 human. Of course, there might still be other helpers hidden, so they had to be careful.

Still, for their group, they could bring in three Tier 7 humans and the rest would be filled up with Tier 6 humans. In addition, among the Tier 6 humans, two of them were disciples of the Three Swords with a pseudo unique ability.

On the other hand, Clovis might have the ability to fight against a Tier 7 human on his own. The same applied to Christina even though Clovis was only Tier 5 and Christina was Tier 6.

Erwin and Jay were pretty strong as well, similar to their level. In other words, they still had one Tier 7 that could overwhelm them.

Clovis still had the rest of his subordinates as well as a dire wolf, so they might be able to stop their group’s Tier 6 humans in a certain situation.

Although the average tier of the Libation Fiesta was lower, their combat strength far surpassed their level, so there was no telling whether they could win it or not.

If the battle became even fiercer, some dangerous things might happen, which might result in what Clovis mentioned earlier.

’Hmm. Let’s say our groups are equal in strength, the rest of the conditions only state that we can do it again and again, while the conflict shouldn’t escalate to killing...

’Even without killing, crippling someone or even cutting off one of their limbs is enough to provoke the other party completely...’

Nart didn’t like this. He didn’t want his group to be manipulated under the pretense of battle.

It looked like accepting Clovis’ generosity was the correct decision.

In the middle of his thought, the receptionist returned. "Thank you for waiting. This is your next mission."

Clovis and Nart took a look at the mission.

Mission: Subterranean Cave.

Objective: Enter the cave. The next instruction is hidden within that cave.

"Hmm? This cave..." Nart squinted his eyes. "Are you joking?"

"I’m sorry, but this is what I have been instructed to do."

"Do you know anything about this cave?" Clovis asked.

Nart hesitated, but since Clovis had been generous, he thought he should give something back. He replied, "This cave is located in the middle of the most dangerous zone in the underworld. Located east of the subterranean city, inside a place called ’Luminous Forest.’

"Not many people dare to enter this forest because the strength of the beasts residing within the forest is very high. It’s reported to have 5 Tier 8 beasts. Even if humans launch a massive expedition, they will end up provoking other beasts, so people just isolate this forest.

"And in the depths of this forest, there is a cave known to be a safe spot. A group once tried to challenge this forest but ended up getting defeated by the beasts. They ran away and ultimately found this place. For some reason, no beasts dared to enter this cave, so they waited until the beasts dispersed before escaping from the forest."

Clovis squinted his eyes. "That sounds rather dangerous. Multiple Tier 8 beasts, so there should be a lot more Tier 7 beasts, right?"

"Yeah. Even if we can bring three Tier 7 beasts, it’s still extremely dangerous."

Clovis thought for a moment. "In the first phase of the mission, you need to figure out the way to find the mission with your brain. Then, it will be your connection. See how you are able to get to the association president.

"Since the Dark Moon Mercenary is divided into three divisions, which basically are the brain, the connection, and the strength of the mercenary group, does this mean it’s the test for our strength?"

"Most likely." Nart nodded with a serious expression.

"Still, this is not the end of the mission."

"I know." Nart crossed his arms. There was one way of doing it, which was the alliance between the Libation Fiesta and the Three Swords. This would make everything safer.

Since it wasn’t the end of the mission, they didn’t have to worry about who took the glory.

Still, Nart had one thing to confirm first. Hence, he asked, "Are you planning to go there right away?"

"No. If this place is that dangerous, I need to prepare carefully."

"In that case, I have a proposal." Nart raised two fingers. "In two days, let’s meet again. Since this is not the end, we might need to create an alliance in order to complete this mission. You and I definitely don’t want to have any casualties. So, what do you think?"

Clovis thought for a moment. "An alliance, huh? That sounds like a good idea. However, instead of two days, I prefer three days."

"Then, so be it. Three days later."

"Meet me at this place." Clovis took out a piece of paper.

Nart checked the address. Although confused, Nart still nodded his head. "Okay."
