Chapter 559

Chapter 559

Anton was a little glad that the theater room he had asked Raymond to prepare could fit, more or less, a hundred men, once chairs were brought in. When they arrived at the room, his father’s people were already seated. He was a little surprised, though, that most of them didn’t know what would happen.

“This is a fun film!” Anna said to him.

“I like the books more. The books are more detailed, and you can truly immerse yourself in the world of Harry Potter,” Anton told his sister.

“I want to read the books! Can you write it down for me?”

“I don’t want to. It’s too long and would take a lot of time. I will be busy dungeon delving, and I’m guessing that you will be busy in your studies anyway. Why do you want to read it? You’re living in a true-to-life magic academy!”

Anna pouted at him, then turned her attention to her classmates. Luna and Alfred were excitedly talking about the movie with Normandy and Iris. After the five-minute break was over, Anton started the film again.

When the movie ended, Anton went to the front and announced to everyone that Harry Potter: The Chamber of Secrets, which was the second movie in the film series, would be shown tomorrow night.

Anton was a little surprised when Raymond entered with a bunch of maids to prepare a table full of snacks and drinks. All the people in the theater room cheered when they saw the food, and again, Anton was impressed at the butler’s initiative.

“You’re butler is capable,” Anders whispered to Anton, and he just smiled.

The discussion about the movies continued while everyone was eating the snacks that Manor’s people had prepared for everyone. Supreme Munetta, Elianah, Anders, Romina, Bruce, and Susan were together discussing the magic behind the wizards and witches of the world of Harry Potter. Belue’s aunt and Norma’s parents were talking about the status of the wizards and witches in that world, wondering if they were considered nobles. Anders’s mercenary group was with each other.

Anna was with her classmates and Laloniah, and her friends were with each other, and they were talking about the film as well.

Normandy, Iris, Luna, and Alfred were each other. Anton was a little sad that Luna hadn’t managed to ingratiate herself with Anna and her friends. Looking at their expressions, though, they seemed happy enough, and Anton didn’t want to force anything. He joined Alfred’s group, and he talked about Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in detail, including some of the things that were in the book but were not in the movie.

There were a lot of them, and of course, Anton wouldn’t be able to recall all of them. He cheated by searching for those details using his Diablo II system browser.

“Why didn’t they include those in the movie?” Alfred asked once Anton was done telling them about the information.

“Movie runtime is limited and all those things simply wouldn’t fit,” Anton replied.

After a few more minutes, Anton’s father loudly announced that it was time for everyone to rest since the next day, some of the people would still be busy. Anders’s vice-captains groaned when they heard it, since Anton’s father was probably talking about them.

From what Anton had heard, Daniel and Ingrid only identified 10 percent of the total items in the treasure room.

Anders then made another announcement that caused the members of his mercenary group to cheer.

“The next two days will be free for everyone! You can do whatever you want. Early tomorrow, come to my office so I can give you your allowance that you can spend during those rest days. If you simply want to rest in the manor, the manor’s environment is relaxing enough that you can do so, and Mr. Jenkins and Ronia will make sure that you are all comfortable.”

Everyone then exited the cinema room, excitedly talking about the activities they would be doing the next two days. The others were still talking about the film and the possible content of the next movie in the film series.

Alfred was boasting about the information that Anton had shared with him and his sister regarding some details that were in the books but not in the movie, causing Anna to glare at Anton, which he ignored.

When Anton reached his room, since he was not sleepy yet, he recorded the songs that he had been singing during the last few days. He still had a couple of magic item recorders in his inventory. He planned to give one to Alfred and Luna and the other one to his sister.

After about an hour, he completed the project, and before going to sleep, Anton cast the Blizzard spell that was converted into Mana Rain towards the garden so that the sweet smell of the flowers would intensify during the night. Then he placed the Pearl of the Ocean on the bedside table and slept.

The next day, Mr. Jenkins woke him up and served him breakfast. While he was eating, Raymond told him that his father had asked him to go to Anders’s office after he was done.

“Do you know why?” Anton asked Raymond.

“Your father would probably talk to you about the Manor and the flower shop and some other things.”

“Did you manage to hire people for the manor that we need?”

“Yes. We hired 50 more people. Right now, the manor has a total of 100 employees, not counting the guards.”

“How long will the funds that I’ve given you last?”

“Your father said that everything will be talked about later once you join him,” Raymond said, and Anton just sighed.
