In the days that followed, Chi Yue didn’t see Fu Rongyin again. However, Fan Xuesong did come by to threaten her a few more times, to get her to relent, but Chi Yue not only didn’t relent, she also counter-threatened her, saying she would call the police if she showed up again.
This tactic seemed to be somewhat effective because Fan Xuesong did not show up again for some time.
These past few days, Fu Xingchuan occasionally came to the studio to find her, but he was eventually discouraged by her coldness.
One day, Dai Qiu entered her office mysteriously, saying someone was looking for her.
Chi Yue thought it was Fu Xingchuan again and refused outright, "Next time he comes over, just tell him I’m not here."

The two went to a restaurant, ordered dishes, and Chi Yue asked him, "Where have you been recently?"
"Nowhere special. Just wandered around and drummed up some business for the family."
Chi Yue found it quite astonishing.
Because Chu Shuo didn’t want to be controlled by his family, he fled to Hai City to work with Fu Rongyin. Later, he was forced to return home, and she thought that was his limit. She never expected he would actually go on business trips for the company.
Seeing her surprise, Chu Shuo laughed nonchalantly, "Do I seem so idle in your eyes? Chi Yue, after all, I was once the General Manager you hired. Your look makes me feel unfriendly."

"Is that a good or a bad thing?"
"That’s up to you to feel. If you think it’s good, then it’s good."
Chu Shuo just smiled and stopped talking.
Chi Yue wanted to say more, but from the corner of her eye, she saw Fu Xingchuan stride in from outside. She silently cursed, just about to tell Chu Shuo, but he had already seen him.
"He’s here for you."

"No, that won’t do. This morning, you said you didn’t have time for me, but now you have time for Chu Shuo. I don’t mind; let’s have a meal together, the three of us."
As he spoke, he had already pulled out the chair beside her and sat down.
Chi Yue was actually displeased, not to mention that she had nothing going on with Fu Xingchuan. Even if they had something, she wouldn’t want her time with friends to be interrupted.

Chu Shuo took a casual sip of tea, "No."
"That’s just as well. I heard that there was some trouble at the engagement ceremony, and that it didn’t go through properly.
Chu Shuo showed no change in emotion, while Chi Yue was taken aback.
She instinctively looked at Chu Shuo but couldn’t glean anything from his expression.
