Chapter 716 No More Public Displays of Affection

She felt a little embarrassed to agree with Ya Nan, hiding her smile, "Let him stay to accompany the children, it's time for me to relax alone. I'll go with you."

After speaking, she pulled Ya Nan towards the small chapel. Kang Xi also sensed something strange between Sister Susu and President Qin, and knowing the reason, he quickly followed.

Seeing Kang Xi following them, Qin Tianyi let Susu go. Thinking he would be busy again in Huilan City, he decided to spend more time with the children, which would ultimately allow him to relax.

Sophie and Aunt Chen were also by the children's side and did not go.

"President Qin, leave the children to me. You and Susu go for a walk," Sophie walked up to Qin Tianyi, wanting to take Tiantian from his arms.

Qin Tianyi did not let go and said, "No need. If you're tired, go back to the hotel."

"I'm not tired," Sophie handed him a bottle of water and said with a sweet smile, "The sun is strong here, drink more water."

Seeing that she had returned to her lively self from Paris, Qin Tianyi was also happy for her. He smiled at her and asked, "Did you put on sunscreen? It's not good for girls' skin to get tanned and not recover."

Sophie quickly looked at the skin on her arm and said, "I did. It's fine. Everyone is into healthy tanned skin now."

Tianyi said nothing more. He first fed Tiantian a sip of the water she handed him before drinking some himself.

Sophie played with Heng Heng, laughing brightly. She took Tianyi's casual concern as a sign of his interest in her and became confident again.

After they had walked a distance, even Ya Nan's carefree personality noticed, and she asked, "What's going on between you and President Qin? You haven't been showing affection these past few days, it's making me uncomfortable."

"It's nothing, we're just a bit tired after that storm," Susu answered vaguely, glancing back at Su Kang Xi following behind.

She really wanted to ask Su Kang Xi about his and Tianyi's plans, but then she thought that asking too much would only add to her worries.

As a police officer, Su Kang Xi probably felt more conflicted than she did.

She smiled and pushed Ya Nan towards him, saying, "You two walk together. I should be the one following. I really shouldn't be a third wheel."

Kang Xi took Ya Nan's hand from her and asked with concern, "Sister Susu, are you alright?"

"I'm fine. I've let go of what I needed to let go of long ago," Susu replied.

Ya Nan didn't understand what they were talking about and quickly asked, "Let go of what? Can you say something I can understand?"

"We're speaking the same language. What's there not to understand?" Susu, with a smile, pushed them ahead and walked behind.

There weren't many people in the small chapel. Susu looked at the clear sunlight outside the window, the distant sea peaceful and serene. No wonder Ya Nan said the chapel had beautiful scenery.

She didn't want to disturb Ya Nan and Kang Xi, who were whispering in the chapel, and walked outside alone.

As she sat on a stone bench outside, looking out at the sea, she heard someone call her softly from behind, "Gu Susu."

Hearing that voice, her heart immediately raced, and her palms began to sweat. She wanted to get up and run, but it was too late.

On the beach, Qin Tianyi and Xiao Xingxing had quickly built a castle with sand. Sophie and Xiao Mei were also helping, everyone happily working together to complete this grand project.

At that moment, Kang Xi and Ya Nan ran over with anxious expressions. Before they even reached them, Ya Nan was already shouting, "President Qin, something's wrong, Susu is missing!"

Qin Tianyi, who had been squatting, stood up quickly, careful not to bump and damage a corner of the sandcastle. He asked, "Weren't the three of you together? How could she be missing? Could she be somewhere else in the chapel?"

Su Kang Xi had already walked up to Qin Tianyi and said, "We searched every corner of the chapel and couldn't find her. However, we found this near a stone bench outside the chapel."

He held up a dried flower and showed it to Tianyi, then said uncertainly, "Could it be left by another tourist? Let's search the surroundings again. Maybe she went for a walk by herself..."

"No need to search," Qin Tianyi looked at the dried flower and gasped, "It's Allen. Allen took her."

"How did Allen find this place? He knew we would be looking for them, yet he didn't hide. How dare he show up here?" Su Kang Xi also became nervous.

Qin Tianyi's eyes, as cold as ice and snow, were filled with worry. "The fact that he could come here and snatch Susu right under our noses suggests he probably has help."

The people around were confused. Ya Nan asked anxiously, "Who are you talking about, Allen? Isn't he the doctor who helped Susu last time? He's a very nice person. Why would he come to the island to grab Susu? Could there be a mistake?"

"I'll explain this to you later," Kang Xi said, holding her hand. "You take the children back to the hotel first. They're all in one room. Don't leave the hotel, and don't act alone, understand?"

"Understand what? I don't understand!" Ya Nan shook off his hand, wanting only to know what had happened.

As Kang Xi was about to explain, he noticed Tianyi striding towards the pier.

He couldn't explain in detail to Ya Nan anymore, so he quickly threw out, "Be good and do as I say!" and then rushed to catch up with Qin Tianyi.

Qin Tianyi's brisk walk turned into a sprint. He ran all the way to the pier, looking around for something.

Kang Xi caught up with him and asked, "Are you looking for a boat to go to that deserted island? Do you know its exact location?"

Qin Tianyi didn't answer him, still hurriedly looking at the boats.

Kang Xi didn't understand what he was doing, why he wasn't just getting on any boat and heading to the island. Thinking he was overly worried, he grabbed him and said, "President Qin, what are you still looking for? If Allen took Sister Susu, he would have taken her to Brother Sijie. Don't waste any more time!"

Qin Tianyi looked at him and asked, "Where is the steamship I sailed back on parked?"

"It should be parked at this pier," Kang Xi recalled. "The rescue team took a look and said it could be decommissioned. I even told them to apply for it, and then I didn't pay much attention to it."

Qin Tianyi's face turned pale with urgency as he shouted, "That ship had the prepared coordinates for that island! If you can't tell me the exact location now, it's useless without the coordinates!"

Kang Xi gasped and immediately started helping him search. He thought that even if the decommissioning was successful, they would have been notified if someone towed the ship away, but he hadn't received any notification.

He saw someone on a docked boat and went to inquire, "Excuse me, have you seen a very old steamship, parked right here?"

The person replied, "It was here at the pier this morning, but not long ago a yacht towed that old ship out to sea. I thought it was strange, wasn't that old ship supposed to be decommissioned..."
