Cheng Cheng and the Cicada

Chapter 32 Role-Playing

Lin Xian walked towards the west side of the square, where CC's respawn point was.

Before long, Lin Xian found his target—

A woman wearing a black bodysuit underneath a plaid trench coat, her dark brown hair piled high, and an Ultraman mask on her face.

It was CC.

Previously, when Lin Xian saw CC at the bank warehouse, she was only wearing a black bodysuit, like a secret agent.

Presumably, she also felt that this secret agent outfit was too conspicuous, so she put on a long trench coat to blend into the crowd when they met at the square.

CC's long hair, piled up at the back of her head, was tied with a red ribbon. It was round and bulging, and the volume of hair looked extremely enviable.

But the reality was... there was a gun hidden inside.

CC had two guns on her.

One on her waist and one hidden in her piled-up hair.

"Truly a dangerous woman."

Lin Xian scrutinized CC's figure as he walked towards her.

Slender, very thin, about 165 cm tall.

Strange...

There was not a trace of familiarity, no impression at all.

Had he really met this person before?

This feeling was very contradictory.

He was certain that he had heard CC's voice in reality.

But it was hard to imagine how he could have no impression of a girl with such a model-like figure, if he had really met her before?

"Forget it, no use thinking so much."

Lin Xian walked straight towards CC.

Whether she was human or ghost, monster or spirit, it would all be revealed when he took off her mask!

"Hi."

Lin Xian walked behind CC, greeted her, and looked at CC as she turned around:

"Password expert?"

CC sized up Lin Xian without saying a word.

After a long time, she nodded slightly: "What should I call you?"

Lin Xian smiled slightly:

"People in the underworld call me Big Pussycat. Just call me Cat Bro."

With that, he pointed to the van by the side of the road:

"The car is over there, come with me."

Then he turned around to walk back—

*Thwack!*

A fair, tender hand pressed firmly on Lin Xian's shoulder, preventing him from moving.

"You're called Big Pussycat?"

"Yes," Lin Xian said without turning his head.

"People in the underworld call you Big Pussycat?"

"That's right."

CC stared intently at Lin Xian:

"But your face isn't big at all. Why do people call you Big Pussycat?"

A gust of hot summer wind blew, lifting the red ribbon in CC's hair and the corner of her trench coat.

Neither of them spoke.

But the atmosphere became increasingly tense.

Lin Xian suddenly realized… he had thought of this [Playing Big Pussycat] thing too simply.

This was not something that could be solved with a mask.

The reason he could fool Big Pussycat with an Ultraman mask was because Big Pussycat was stupid, and it didn't have much to do with the mask itself.

Someone as smart as CC had at least 800 more brain cells than Big Pussycat.

Even if she didn't know Big Pussycat's appearance, name, or voice… she could intuitively sense that Lin Xian didn't look like a desperate gangster, much less someone who would rob a bank.

But fortunately, CC only suspected him now and hadn't completely exposed him.

There was still time to salvage the situation.

Lin Xian stood up straight and slowly turned around.

CC's right hand pressed on Lin Xian's shoulder, and her left hand reached for the gun handle on her waist…

"Does being called Big Pussycat mean you have to have a big face?" Lin Xian stared at CC.

"Otherwise?" CC stared back.

"What's your name then?"

"CC."

"If you follow your logic, you should be called AA, not CC!"

*Thwack!*

Lin Xian directly brushed off the hand on his shoulder, not giving her a chance to argue, put his hands in his pockets, and walked towards the van:

"Take it or leave it! Even without you, the password expert, I can still rob it with C4."

Lin Xian got into the driver's seat, closed the door, shifted gears, and started with a burnout!

*Vroom————*

"Wait!"

CC ran over quickly.

Then she opened the passenger door and got in.

She crossed her arms and didn't say a word, clearly unconvinced.

Lin Xian held out his right hand:

"Give me the gun."

"What do I use if I give it to you?" CC mocked disdainfully.

"Use the one in your hair."

CC stared at Lin Xian with wide eyes.

Finally...

She slapped the handgun on her waist into Lin Xian's hand.

Then she untied the red ribbon holding her piled-up hair...

*Whoosh.*

Smooth long hair fell down her shoulders like a scattered waterfall, and a black gun appeared in CC's hand.

She bit the red ribbon with her lips, held her long hair together with both hands, and then retied it with the ribbon.

Lin Xian watched all this quietly...

This was probably the purpose of using a ribbon to tie her hair instead of a rubber band, right? It could be pulled open with one tug. No wonder Big Pussycat was headshot instantly last time.

Lin Xian picked up the gun in his hand.

He skillfully removed the magazine, checked the number of bullets, pushed it back in, loaded it, turned it over, and inserted it into his waist. The whole process was completed in less than 1 second.

Then he looked ahead and drove on his own.

He didn't say a word on the surface.

But he secretly breathed a sigh of relief in his heart.

Fortunately, it seemed that he had gotten away with it. So far, everything was going smoothly with the plan.

Lin Xian's greatest advantage was that he could try countless times, start over countless times, and fail countless times in his dreams.

This repeated trial and experiment would allow him to accumulate almost all the information.

Recalling the first time he met Big Pussycat and CC, he was completely manipulated by them, and anyone could shoot him.

But after these three or four cycles of exploration… he already knew all the details of the event like the back of his hand.

With such a huge information gap, he could handle anyone.

What happened just now was indeed somewhat different from what Lin Xian had planned. He didn't expect CC to suspect that he wasn't Big Pussycat at first glance.

But it didn't matter.

After his operation, he not only got away with it but also obtained the most needed key prop—

A gun.

Without a gun, he really didn't know how to get past the three underlings.

Along the way, the two of them didn't communicate.

Ultraman and the Rhine Cat stared straight ahead like that...

He wondered what the passersby would think when they saw this weird van.

Before long, they reached their destination.

Lin Xian pulled out the gun from his waist and gestured for CC to get out of the car:

"Follow me, bring your computer."

After getting out of the car.

Lin Xian and CC headed towards the bank entrance without stopping.

A black-clothed underling was tinkering at the door, looked up at Lin Xian, and looked confused:

"You—"

*Bang!!*

A bullet hit the center of his forehead! Blood splattered on the wall!

"Good marksmanship," CC praised.

She had just seen it clearly. Drawing the gun and shooting was completed in just an instant. There was no aiming action at all.

If it was just hitting the target, many people could do it.

But this was a headshot, right in the center of the forehead, without any extra aiming movements...

It could only be described as a sharpshooter.

"But why did you kill your underling?" CC asked.

Lin Xian directly pushed open the door and entered the bank:

"His hands weren't clean. We can't keep someone like that."

Walking to the corner.

The masked man stood up in shock, pointing at Lin Xian: "You—"

*Bang!!*

Another instant headshot, without deviating!

"Why did you kill this one?"

"He seduced the boss's wife. Do you think he can stay?"

CC looked at Lin Xian in shock:

"He, he cuckolded you?"

"Uh… ah, we have a common big brother above us. I'm talking about that big brother's wife."

Continuing forward, a black figure ran up from the underground passage—

*Bang!!*

CC couldn't help but take a step back…

A running target, moving so fast, and in such darkness, he could still get a headshot instantly!

She touched the handgun and followed behind Lin Xian:

"How did you practice your marksmanship?"

"Nothing more than practice."

Lin Xian pointed to the jet-black wall in front of him and the silver password door in the middle:

"It's your turn, password expert."
