Second Senior Brother

Chapter 913 Do I need a reason to find you?

"Alright, everyone, the meeting is adjourned. Personnel will escort you to your assigned rooms at the Sector Thirteen base!"

Bai Lin then exited the command center.

Meanwhile, the leader of Sector Six returned to the platform, giving a brief overview of the rules and obligations for official personnel.

Chen Fan observed the rigorous selection process of Sector Thirteen, finding it even more demanding than some sect selections within Huaxia.

"I wonder what this King is thinking," Chen Fan murmured, touching his head.

As the leader of Sector Six finished his speech, other official employees of Sector Thirteen appeared at the entrance, preparing to guide everyone back to their rooms.

Sector Thirteen base operated under a one-person-one-room system, ensuring each individual had their own accommodation.

However, the rooms for temporary workers were located underground, while those for official employees with cultivation varied greatly in quality. Sector Thirteen had its own residential areas, gardens, and dense apartment buildings.

As long as one did not leave Sector Thirteen, these rooms or buildings were provided for permanent residence.

Furthermore, the salaries in Sector Thirteen were exceptionally high within the Red Sun Nation. The base salary for official employees was comparable to that of high-level executives in private enterprises outside, with the added benefit of special cultivation equipment provided by Sector Thirteen.

The salaries for temporary workers were also on par with mid-level managers in external private enterprises.

The primary source of income for both temporary and official martial personnel in Sector Thirteen came from accepting missions.

Guided by a staff member, Chen Fan returned to his temporary room at the main base.

The room was not large, around fifty square meters, but it was sufficient for a normal adult male.

The staff member who led Chen Fan to his room, aware of his considerable strength, congratulated him.

"I never expected Brother Chen Fan to be such a master. If you need anything, just call out to me. I will spare no effort to help," the staff member said.

Chen Fan also received his work uniform, bearing the emblem of Sector Seven.

Although Sector Thirteen's headquarters were located here, the locations of each sector were dispersed. Only the main experimental zone, the main base of Sector Thirteen, and the main research and development zone were situated in this area.

The leaders of each sector had their own territories spread across the Red Sun Nation.

Chen Fan decided he would visit Sector Seven after the organization was in better shape.

While Chen Fan did not know the exact location of Sector Seven, he surmised that Sector Seven also had its own base, research and development department, experimental zone, and residential area. Otherwise, it would be difficult for Chen Fan to commute if he were to live at the main base permanently.

Of course, the mission reception hall mentioned earlier was only available at the main base. There were two ways to accept missions: through Sector Thirteen's private app or by coming to the main base in person.

However, Chen Fan's most pressing concern now was to complete the mission in the Middle East as soon as possible.

While resting in his room, Chen Fan heard a crisp knock on the door.

Upon opening it, he saw Bai Lin waiting outside.

"Quick... quick, come in," Chen Fan said, visibly surprised to see Bai Lin.

He had assumed that as the proxy for the Left Divine Hall, she wouldn't be residing in the housing provided by Sector Thirteen.

Yet, Bai Lin was here so late.

"Why are you living here?" Chen Fan asked.

Although slightly puzzled, Chen Fan still posed the question.

Seeing Chen Fan's expression, Bai Lin understood his thoughts and immediately replied,

"I grew up in Sector Thirteen since I was a child. Where else would I live? However, my living situation is better than yours. We have a high-rise residential area, and I even have a detached villa with a garden," Bai Lin said proudly.

"Is there something you need me for?" Chen Fan inquired.

Hearing Chen Fan's question, Bai Lin's face darkened.

"I'm your girlfriend now. Do I need a reason to see you? Honestly..." Although Bai Lin appeared angry,

Chen Fan knew she was actually being coy.

With that said, Bai Lin took out a stack of documents from the bag Chen Fan had bought her and handed them to him.

"These are all documents regarding the Middle East. Read them thoroughly."

"During the last meeting, the Right Divine Hall stated that they would be responsible for all matters concerning the Left Divine Hall from now on. You need to be careful," Bai Lin warned with concern.

"I understand, my dear Miss Bai," Chen Fan said, recognizing Bai Lin's apprehension but still reassuring her.

"I will definitely avenge your grandfather. If I ever take over Sector Thirteen, you and your sister can inherit it and become my resource hub, right..." Chen Fan said as he embraced Bai Lin.

They then kissed.

However, they soon parted,

as Chen Fan's immediate priority was to review the documents Bai Lin had given him.

"I'll stay here tonight. Since you're gone, no one will make me breakfast," Bai Lin said in a subdued tone.

Hearing Bai Lin's wistful words, Chen Fan felt a pang of guilt. Nevertheless, he opened the documents and said, "You might as well stay with me these few days. Although the room is small, it's better than your tent." Chen Fan added teasingly.

Upon hearing Chen Fan mention the tent, Bai Lin blushed, as she fondly remembered the many interesting stories that had unfolded when they shared a tent.

As the documents were opened, Chen Fan's eyes fell upon:

"SSS+ Rank Mission: Rescue the Middle East's Afe and Empire"

"Danger Level: Five stars and above, with no upper limit."
